firstly why are you putting another man's words in my mouth? i am not barking and i have not commented on his statement so please leave me out of any tiff the two of you are currently engaged in, for i have no interest in it.

secondly, and more importantly, i have not and will not condone any form of physical violence from anybody, be they President or house boy. as I stated before - and very clearly - physical violence is REPREHENSIBLE. i do however have no issue with people voicing their opinions. everyone has a right to air their views. simple. and unfortunately for the President most people in the North feel they have been lied to by their Commander in Chief on this zoning issue so it is no surprise that a lot of his biggest detractors come from that region. you can't brazenly lie to somebody and then cry when you then don't receive their unadulterated love and support. i can guarantee you that any of the other southern candidates would receive a more than warm, if rather sparse, welcome.

If you aren't commenting on his statement, then butt out of my reply to him. Thats why I said your vision is selective, so it is not surprising that you have applied the same wishy-washy vision to something that is a treasonable act. If anyone has a grouse, there are better ways than throwing stones like people without home training.

I never liked the idea of federalism until a two months ago. We all have fundamental differences whether political, culturally or socially. I really do not blame the Northerners when they go on their annual killing spree because they NEVER wanted to be part of this union and so did the yorubas. But Azikwe was a nationalist and he single handedly united the country which was good because together we stand, divided we fall.
Now the real issue was the removal of federalism. When that was done, it signaled the beginning of the end of Nigeria. We have to find a way to go back to federalism where everyone or group can control their wealth and resources. Where everyone or group can rule themselves instead of the silly zoning. Where everyone or group can grow at their pace et al. This federal republic structure is creating more enmity than cooperation. In fact, instead of the old 3 regions, we should have 6 regions. That way, most of our problems will be solved. Without federalism, this is just the beginning of something that is a lot worse.

So you can think like this? Welcome into the tent, dude.

I think your take on politics is not thorough, many here are guilty of innocent idealism. Every last political party in Nigeria is corrupt, none, I repeat, none is better than PDP. Buhari's CPC already has Abacha's corrupt son and quite a few people on trial for bombing, yet it is a just few months old. ACN has a drug baron as party financier and godfather. All parties are bad.

IMHO, Jonathan has done quite a lot since he came in, and like I said on another thread, it's those at home that really feel his impact; those who know, for example what it feels like to sleep in a petrol station for days, whipped by security men, just to get rationed fuel.
