What is God?

No human being can answer any of those questions, except they are lying to themselves or stealing from the poor.

Gbawe's changing opinions of GEJ;
1. GEJ is weak (but GEJ replies by defeating the Yar Adua cabal)
2. GEJ is a coward (but GEJ replies by undoing the PHCN and NNPC cabals)
3. GEJ has no political machinery (GEJ replies with a political left hook and straight uppercut)
4. GEJ has no experience or vision (in 3+ short months, GEJ provides the vision in oil, gas, financial and power that others haven't been able to in years)

The latest is GEJ is "do or die" and employing "Obj tactic," . . . I laugh in Swahili!!! grin grin grin
Check points one and two to see how deeply Gbawe's and other undercover IBB supporters views have somersaulted acrobatically to counter any positives from GEJ. Na wa for some people sha! huh
www.itsekiri.org/files/communique/communique_details.php?selected_id=79· The 16th Olu Akengbuwa died on 14th
June 1848 and there was an 88-year
interregnum. By 1851 the British had come
into Itsekiri country and they stayed put till
Independence in 1960. At the reinstatement
of the monarchy in 1936 (after 88 years)
Warri was the name of a province in
Nigeria. The British could not allow Itsekiri
to have their Olu called “Olu of Warri” since
the Urhobo, Ijaw, Kwale & Isoko
administered from the Province would
rightly be enraged that the Itsekiri Olu was
recognized as their King. Thus the Colonial
Government recognized him at coronation
in 1936 as Olu of Itsekiri. Itsekiri agitation
on this matter continued till 1951. As
Independence drew near, the British left the
locals to direct affairs; thus in 1951, the
Western Region Government in its wisdom,
having regard to the historicity of the
Itsekiri claim, dropped the name ‘Warri’,
from the Province, replaced it with ‘Delta’
and conceded Warri as Itsekiri homeland.
Thus the title of the Itsekiri Olu rightly
became ‘Olu of Warri’. The other ethnicities
rejoiced to have ‘Delta’ replacing ‘Warri’ as
their province, while the Itsekiri on their
part rejoiced that they had got back their
ancient name and title. The change had
nothing personal to do with Chief Awolowo
as the Ijaw and Urhobo have so
shamelessly claimed. Even Dr. Nnamdi
Azikiwe, then opposed to Chief Awolowo,
had openly canvassed the change in earlier
years in his Press
The Western Nigeria government carried out the change, that is beyond debate.
Ask yourself who was in charge of the Western Nigeria government at the time and your question is answered. Was is Zik or Awo?
It is really incredibly simple.

Anyways, as I said, we thank God that we are finding accommodation between ethnic groups in Delta state today. We have had both Urhobo and Itsekiri governors; come 2015, we should have either an Igbo or Ijo governor. We aren't into this childish tribalistic crap that you guys are carrying out here. No! More sense and progress comes out of talking; indeed, Delta state is the richest in Nigeria by some margin in GDP per capita, despite being the third from top of oil producers. Nigeria needs to learn from us.

but what i don't get with that theory is that in qualifiers it doesn't affect them i dont think he has crashed at all since the beginning during qualifiers
The speculation is that the Red Bull cannot live with turbulent wake immediately behind another F1 car. They hardly ever get so close to other cars in quali.
F1 cars are always on a fine edge and generate so much down force that they can drive upside down on the ceiling; with the Red Bull, the flexing wing is an important part that helps make them much more aerodynamic than the others.  However, when the wing doesn't just flex, but dips and  oscillates wildly theb problems are likely to occur.

Pitpass seems to be the only major F1 site with this theory though, http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_news_item.php?fes_art_id=41884

Haba Beaf, easy does it! I wouldn't go that far. At least the old man was instrumental in the carving out of the Mid-west from the old western region. Plus he gave you guys free education too. I have heard about the olu of warri shenannigan before and i can't for the like of me fathom out why the old man embarked on that route but i certainly would not say he's a TRIBALIST. Am certain, had he been allowed to rule Nigeria, he would have made sure the common man on the streets irrespective of where they come from, benefitted from his tenure. This was the main grouse the northern oligarchy had with him hence they were prepared to fraternise with Zik's NCNC (albeit as a senior partner) but definately not Awo's AG.
I am not saying it was all negative, but human life is not something that can be bought.
The reason Awo did it was to employ divide and rule against the Midwest, Itsekiri is very similar to Yoruba. Again, I can only say thank God things are settling down.
In fact, it was Awo's behaviour that made the Midwest to look North, instead of Westwards as it used to be (I don't know why they never looked East even before the war).

T9ksy:
Thank you beaf for your civil response. Awo was not a saint and anyway from the link you provided it did say towards the end of paragraph 2 that the crisis was not that bad until the demise of Abacha in 1997 brought about the ugly head of local politics. Oh well, i concor with your closing line and am glad that you guys have now learnt to get along amicably with your neighbours.

One thing, you have to remember Beaf, is that during the time when Awo hold sway in the old western region, every one was looking out for the interest of his own people. At least, Awo say it like it is. He never believed in One nigeria as he knew it wasn't a feasible option hence his suggestion and leanings towards regional federalism. Oh well, 44yrs after we can all see that the old man was right.

Sorry Bluetooth, have no desire to engage you.
Yes things really worsened years after because of the politics of oil, but that does not absolve Awo. And I agree totally, he did well for his people, but for us, he was a real disaster.
There are still tensions in Warri, but the inter ethnic bloodshed has since stopped.

See how someone who Jonathan Goodluck considered qualified for National Award will loose her job one way or the other.

@Beaf, can u expantiate on that please. IMO, Awo did what he thought was best for his people, the yorubas.
The bolded might be correct, but people of the old Midwest (Delta and Edo) are not Yoruba.

There used to be a lot of bloodshed in Warri, it was caused by Awo. Hundreds of lives and livelihoods were needlessly destroyed.

We have now found ways to accomodate each other, its an ongoing process. Thank God.

Another incredibly wishy-washy article from Sahara Reporters.

The extract below very rightly rubbishes the title and thrust of the rest of the article.

Also last week, Mr. Adoke reportedly donated N250 million to the Jonathan campaign to forestall his removal after he said that former military dictator Ibrahim Babangida would not be investigated for stealing $12.4 billion Gulf oil windfall.  That statement was said to have rankled the presidency.
Every halfwit is a reporter these days. In any event, lets wait for Farida to speak.

He said they decided to stage the rally, following the refusal of President Goodluck Jonathan to grant them audience.

“We were thoroughly disappointed that our legitimate request for audience with the president, to register our protest against the 100 Northern politicians’ position was ignored for very unclear and obviously undemocratic reasons,’’ he added.
What person of substance gives audience to a hired bunch of drug and drink soaked almajiri's?

It should be ok as long as the price is favourable compared to running a generator.

AjanleKoko:
Agree with you, except for the market entry barrier. There should be a license fee commensurate with the long term revenue potential of the market. A low entry barrier will result in names like 'God-Dey Power' becoming sector players easily. Just like the bogus NCD bill in the energy sector. Only those players that can run a profitable operation that scales should be able to bid.
I don't support free entry, but I believe the entry point should be set quite low. This can work if there are very stringent standards and effective monitoring.
As for "God de power," market forces will take care of them if they fail to deliver; customers will simply move elsewhere.

In a few months those faulty lines should be fixed and everybody will see the improvements. The amount of power generated in the country is set to double by April next year. So, fingers crossed, things seem to really be changing!
