Talk is cheap. Time for bluffing has passed, seek out those figures and confess to me where our states are relative to each other. In fact, I want to know which state tops Delta. Una tink say development na mouth and flowers.

I guess your answer is nothing to show,

Same talk talk rhetoric as usual,
No, I challenged you to tell us where your state is in terms of the Human Development Index (HDI). This figures are measurable and easy to obtain, I just want you to seek them out yourself.

Don't run away. I won't let you off easily.

The challenge is on.

@beaf  if warri nor dey carry last, why don't they establish their media houses in Delta, why come go to Lagos ? Or warri people can't read ?
Recently they were talking about the phenomenal achievements of Lagos state at a tax conference where it was revealed that Lagos now receives 16b Naira a month from tax collection, do you know what our good friend the gov'nor of Delta said was part of his own achievements ? He said that a lot of money was going towards fueling the generators that power the street lights he installed in Delta. My brother and  couldn't stop laughing, a country where There's no power in peoples homes and businesses, and yet you're talking about powering street lights with generators. grin  they say a people deserve their govt. i guess undecided
Incredible!
I don't know the sort of person that laughs at street lights. Don't you know their purpose?

Like so many other things, our street lights are reliable.
Join babapupa in his homework; find out the Human Development Index (HDI) for each state in Nigeria; then lets discuss why Delta state comes tops by such a margin.

Who is trying to take away your minority status? lol.

So, why are your media folks not using their immense resources to unearth the goodies you're straining hard to come up with beside the swimming pool and road side picture you posted? Why are your people aggrieved that their is zero development in the delta. Oh, I forgot, it's the federal government responsibility, not your elected officials,

Ndo, e go better one day,
Talk is cheap, Delta state people talk little.

Delta state happens to be far ahead of your state in measurable human indexes, immunisation, child mortality, GDP per capita, life expectancy etc. We regularly trounce you guys with the highest JAMB scores and the number of university admissions for the number of applications. Let that be your homework, find out the Human Development Index (HDI) for each state in Nigeria; tell me which state comes tops and by what margin cool.

But, hey! You think development is planting flowers and converting area boys to lastma; we value the development of the individual in Delta state, yes we value the everyday hard working woman and and man. . . Much, much more than flowers.

I laugh in Igbo, Isoko, Itsekiri, Izon, Urhobo and the many other great Delta state ethnicities not mentioned.

Right now, they can not clarify anything, the achievements are buried under ground and they need to get hold of reporters from lagos state to unearth and exposed them to the people, All they have for now is just talk talk,
My friend, half the press in Lagos is owned by Delta state people. Calm down, we might be minorities, but we no dey carry last!

Any church who against me , is the church of satan. because God stand for truth. And I am standing for truth. And any sincere church should stand for me and this satellite pictures. . .

Let look at it from a Godly point of view. if Jesus was in our position and understand the issue in Nigeria that it may lead to civil war. What do you think Jesus would do so that there would be peace in Nigeria and avoid a civil war.

Will Jesus  huh?
a. Force electoral reform through on Northerners and that start a civil war .
b. Try to resolve it peaceful by moving the yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa into benin republic to make the north majority to avoid a civil war.

Will jesus pick A or B?

Look there is no passport in heaven. There is no Nigeria passport or Benin republic passport.

Yar’Adua’s family threatens to sue media houses
By Zacheaus Somorin, 12.08.2009
Tuesday, December 8, 2009

The family of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua said yesterday that it would not hesitate to institute legal action against any media house that continues to report the president's health maliciously.

A statement signed by ''The President's Sister'' , Hajia Mairo Musa Yar'Adua, on behalf of the family said its attention has been drawn to ''the false, malicious and obviously sponsored media reports that suggested that the president's mother, Hajia Dada Habib Yar'Adua asked Mr President to resign from office on account of ill health.

The reports, according to Hajia Mairo insinuated that Hajia Yar’Adua is disagreeing  with the President’s wife, Turai, whom the newspapers claimed was urging the President to sit tight, saying there was no time that the president's mother suggested so.

“To put the records straight, the President’s mother has never spoken to the media.  She enjoys a cordial relationship with her daughter-in-law, Turai. The president’s mother contrary to media reports is supportive of Mr President’s foray into politics and has always encouraged him to render selfless service to the good people of Nigeria” the family said.

The family also said that instead of the media turning itself into malleable tools of ''blackmail by disgruntled politicians'' it should rather ''cross check facts before going to press” most especially at “this critical stage of the nation’s development.

Sequel to this,  Hajia Mairo Yar’Adua has instructed all the media houses “responsible for these falsehoods to retract the misleading reports and apologize to the family or face legal action”.

@Beaf, I mentioned Australia because you went on about how they are the leding country in solar research. Would it be unreasonable to then look at what they are doing to judge the feasibility of your postulations? As a matter of fact such would show that we do have a brain. Most research isn't done fromt thin air. You do a literature review first and see what is already on the ground and what progress has been made, so you don't have to wait to rediscover fire.
Don't be dishonest. You started the whole Australia thing.

Australia was first mentioned in this thread by you (right here https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-363669.0.html#msg5074067). Anybody can search the topic for Australia and see that for themselves.

As a practical matter, if the feds abruptly stop sharing national revenues with the states, it could conceivably result to the deaths of thousands, if not millions of people.  State governments should be weaned from this dependence in the most beneficial manner.

What do you mean by "ban religion"?.  Every Nigerian should enjoy freedom of association and should be free to practice whatever religion.
I am sure that the ND wouldn't be averse to providing loans, grants and cooperation for a given period (brokered by an international body), after which everyone will be on their own. Even the oil producing states need to diversify (as is currently going on slowly in Rivers and Delta states).

The auto and oil industries alone are worth trillions of dollars. . . I don't even know where to start talking to people who want to think without applying simple logic.

Do you know how much energy the average Westerner consumes compared to the PHCN blighted average Nigerian? Believe me, if you knew, you would understand that to the West, current proposals amount to a total dismantling of current lifestyle and culture. How the hell is that some drugged up conspiracy against Africa that has even began to consume energy in any notable way?
