This is a graphic illustration of why we need to totally restructure the country and create a true federation. There is too much money and power at FG level, because the FG is responsible for given states their monthly stipends. It is an arrangement more geared to a military dictatorship or plain corruption. These folk are in Abuja "representing" their people, only they are accountable to no one; federal bureaucracy is too distant from local politics. Na so. |
No man born of woman will ever defeat Barkin Zuwo of Kano state. For instance, the Rimi administration claimed that Zuwo voted for massive use of derivation as a means of sharing the national revenue whereas Kano State , which he was representing in the Senate, did not produce mineral resources. The senator, according to the state government, did not know that the minerals being referred to in the bill for legislative deliberations were deposits like coal, crude oil, natural gas, gold, tin ore, etc. Therefore, the alhaji innocently claimed on the floor of the Senate that Kano “has surplus minerals like Fanta, Coca cola, Sprite, Mirinda and even Tango.”http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/opinion/2007/oct/03/opinionl-03-10-2007-001.htm ![]() |
Dis Guy:. . .Yeah? But some here want us to masturbate at every single one of his sharia emissions. |
grafikdon: Becomerich: Egwuofor, you speak truth. Wickedness is bad. Igbos should have only two states because 90% of them are traders and their population is not more than 2000000. See map. They are less than 1% of Lagos. Only 500 Igbo traders are in Lagos but because they are everywhere, they look like many. See map.

Lagosboy:My friend go and sleep! His values from his "intellectual" writeups are the values of shariah. If a man holds women to be of such low value that he can amass them like goods (even at his young age), he is of low value to the country. The CBN is not a sharia establishment. Someone writes so many articles (all about sharia) and we should sit down and salivate like brainless puppets? The guy is narrow minded. |
Lagosboy:. . .Yes, all about sharia by the backdoor. Somebody please remind me; how many wives does this young progressive man have? How many children (if he himself hasn't lost count)? |
What makes you think he was used or that he isn't the author of the script? He is a man that thinks the World revolves around sharia and acts in area boy style, like he is controlled by the principles of sharia. Today, there are job losses in the oil and financial sectors because of him, as if the ND crisis is not already enough for the country to chew. Foreign agencies have cut off credit facilities. Give it a few more weeks and the immense damage one man has done will become evident. We say Nigeria is backward and underdeveloped. . . Then we introduce clowns to run our financial system. . . .A man of the stone age. |
^Don't waste your time. These people have shrines to Sanusi in their bedrooms, complete with his picture, seven candles and the ashes of what remains of their integrity. |
^According to the article, some other "missing names" have already taken the matter to court (Gani style); Unfortunately, we cannot even attempt an answer to that question here; why, because it is sub-judice as a few fellow Nigerians whose historical lessons at school as to how Nigeria came about, are already asking it at the Federal High Court in Abuja and Lagos. The plaintiffs include: Prince Tanimose Bankole Oki (SAN); Chief Anthony Enahoro; Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu; Professor Wole Soyinka and Biship Bolanle Gbonigi. The Late Chief C. C. Onoh was on that list up to his passage. From the younger generation, we also have plaintiffs including Ralph Uwazurike, Alhaji Shettima Yerima and Mujahedat Dokubo Asari. There is a legion of other prospective plaintiffs applying to join.Gani can smile about that (RIP). |
The one name that could have given them credence is missing. Wole Soyinka! All the same, this quote (from an otherwise shabby article) is worthy; Lord Malcolm Hailey, a British historian recorded Nigeria’s short-coming in these essentials when he said of his own peers’ creation: "Nigeria is perhaps the most artificial of the many administrative units created in the course of European occupation of Africa". Henry Bretton, an American political scientist wrote in the same vein: "there is no universally acceptable and understood rationale for the existence and functioning of a state called Nigeria and efforts at an artificial creation of a national mythology or a Nigerian ideology will be unproductive."Damn! . . .From the horses mouth. |
I confess I've not yet read the article. But first impressions. . . How much can they muster? Some of the folk in the list are past rulers (bear some sort of stamp from past regimes), I hope they aren't just seeking relevance sha? |
Sanusi employed agbero tactics and has produced agbero results. What do you expect from an agbero? |
cap28:The problem is, other Africans have seen your so called "evidence", given it informed consideration and binned it. But I think you are a bit slow. What is the difference between what you are Many people believe that "they" are deceiving us You can get a "flat Earth" education here http://www.alaska.net/~clund/e_djublonskopf/FlatWhyFlat.htm And you can join the Flat Earth Society here http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/ I am sure you will be raptorously welcomed. |
Sanusi understands sharia only. They chop off thieves hands and know nothing about modern life, patience or subtlety. But the banking aspect of capitalism is diplomatic and shady by its very nature. Nobody wants to do business with a bank where there is no continuity, the govt can summarily uproot the CEO, threaten shareholders and criminalise debtors (funny how he was even rebuffed by his "foreign buyers" .The man is ruining our economy, there used to be adverts on CNN and the like for Nigerian banks, they are all gone now. No foreigner will trust the safety of their investment in Nigeria. We are not in the stone age, but some are hailing the destruction of our economy by someone who should know better. Some are talking about "correction" out of ignorance, what instituitions do we have that can be corrected? At least a financial instituition was being built and Sanusi could have nutured it; but no, he had to make his ill-adviced mark. Everywhere you look in Nigeria, there is no progress just a penchant for pedalling backwards. We haven't resolved Niger Delta issue's and confidence in oil supply; but we feel a need to add the banking sector to the general malaise. |
Menial job ke! If you must, then do menial work for a very brief period only, but it is best left to those without education; you can work in a bars, pubs or nite clubs to get by and get integrated. After that, you could seek admin work in the public sector. You will need strength for your studies in the UK, it's not like 9ja; here they drain your blood with assignments, so you need to be smart about job selection. |
^The man is empty handed (the black thing is a bag resting on the wall). Poor thing is running for dear life! |
cap28: Jesus wept! As an avid researcher, critical thinker, big African brain etc; have you had the time to look into claims by some of your fellow alternative thinkers on AIDS? A good place to start would be if having your bath after sex with an infected person "washes" away the virus; another would be the definition of AIDS as a vitamin deficiency; yet another would be testing if AIDS is cured by having sex with a virgin (read baby) or a goat. You will agree that the preceding are all crackpot ideas, worthy of your research and weighty consideration; they have all been suggested by ignorant fellow Africans and African Americans. One more thing Mr. researcher, there is no such thing in science as a single black race or an African race; there are several races within black Africa. Ignorance is a very dangerous thing. |

@Jarus There is nothing as dangerous as being part of a personality cult, you're starting to sound like a teenager in love. |
9ijaprince:If only. Wait and see oyibo in action, that money won't touch 9ja for the next 10 years; by which time they would have invested and re-invested it, even then they will only release it a pound at a time. |
jazzsoul:Excuse me! So what if they are publicly quoted? The problem with people who wheel out this argument is that they really do not understand that a publicly quoted company is still in the private sector. If the CBN can seize banks, can the govt seize for example one of Dangote's companies because it is publicly quoted and might not be doing well; and o, they want to protect share holders and investors money. It sounds very ridiculous doesn't it? When did CBN become the share holders aunty, to hold their hands when they cross the road and sing them lullabies to put them to bed? |
See this guy sha. You no go lef me? ![]() Don't worry, I will have a beer with you anytime I reach Lagos. |
. . .Furher Henry Kissinger. . . Your evidence is loaded with bunkum. . . Don't tell me you are an academic who is to puritanical to quote wikipedia; yet you belittle your intellect with such a low quality post. Is that an insinuation that Kissinger is a Nazi? Damn! The weird, the wacky and the wonderful! |
