hello all, here is an update on the bakery.

i closed it down, split the building in 2 apartment of 2bedroom each, rented it out for 120k per annum.

i took the 240k, and shared part of it to some elderly pple in my family and used the balance to buy dryfish,
egusi, ogbono and some laces and jewelry which was all posted to.

far better than all those years i wasted on that bakery business.

i would say its a gud thing depending on both ur personalities, atleast u both get to grow up
amd matured together.

the challenges comes if one of is more outspoken, more active or more social than the other or one travels

i married my first love , he traveled 2yrs into the relationship and i joined him 3yrs later. our ways were so different

That's a good 12 years past. I live in Abbey Wood in a 3bedhouse about 10mins walk from Plumstead High Street. That £650 you were paying won't even get you a studio flat now. Mortgages were easy then but now you need upwards of £60,000 for the cheapest deposits. It's not like one doesn't know what to do its the ability to do it that's difficult.

A younger me used to laugh at people who were in council properties as not smart but an older me now understands that they were actually smarter than me. I'm in private sector rent but would grab public sector housing if I can find it.

My friend bought a 2bed along that abbey wood rd in 2006 for 168k , with all the improvement scheduled in the area, her house value has almost doubled.

it's nothing to do with punishment. It's about jobs there are not alot of jobs outside london, anyway i am ready to move out of london jobs or no jobs as i can not afford to live here anymore. My rent has just gone up from £1000 to £1300 this April I bet your area of 580 mortgage has gone up recently too.

We are now paying £513, interest rate is frozen.

There are jobs everywhere, just seek and ye shall find.

We used stay on the train for over an hour just to get to work. Now it's less than 10mins drive.

Watever money London pays is not worth the stress.

I'm jealous of all my Naija peeps the majority of rent prices except for Abuja and parts of Lagos are quite good. Although when you factor in salary sizes it's not so good.

My rent in London excluding council tax is £1400 per month x 12 months = £16,800 per year. In Naira @ N420 = £1 means my own rent is over 7 Million Naira per year. Bear in mind I live in a normal middle class area. If I lived in central London you will have to multiple this by at least 4 times.

Why una like punishment for dat London.

We were paying 650 in 2004 for a 2bedroom house in Plumstead. We jeje carried our bags and bought a a 3bedhouse with 580 mortgage. And life is gud.

damn these rent prices here, and my bloody cousin keep telling me house rent is not that expensive in Benin city, i have 6 flats 3 bedroom each with fence and bore-hole for drinking water in Benin city and the tenants pay 96,000 per year according to my cousin

My hubby has same in sapele Rd, behind winner chapel. He get's 250k pa.
