Once again I teamed up with my good friend Koyejo Sofoluwe(@KINGFISHEREcHo) and a group of tourists for an overnight camping experience at Lufasi Park. This time around it was Lufasi Park. A brief history; Lufasi stands Lekki Urban Forest and Animal Sanctuary Initiative. Lufasi was founded on the 4th January 2013, by Mr. Desmond Majekodunmi as a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to actively participate in the protection and preservation of natural habitats in urban areas as well as to play an active role in the realization of sustainable development programs in Nigeria.

LUFASI has pristine Forest Reserve and Nature Park that sits on 20hectres along the Lekki-Epe Expressway with a nature-themed leisure play-park and animal sanctuary.

Enough of history, now to our camping experience; the team set out for Lufasi from Alagomeji at 3:50pm. The journey was an exciting one; everyone got to introduce themselves and talk about what they do. The journey was smooth and gridlock free.

We got to Lufasi Park within an hour. We started off with a quick tour of the park. We saw the horses, donkeys, tortoise, African civet and wide variety of birds, monkeys and fresh lush vegetation. Honestly we saw a lot of animals but I cannot remember them all. After the tour, we proceeded further into the forest in picking a camp site.

On selecting a camp site, it was now time to set up tents, drop our bags, set up the camp fire and prepare dinner.

After all was said and done, it was time to get down to the business of the day. We played a lot of games, danced, sang, karaoke, ate and networked. Our facilitator also gave us a talk on the importance of spending time in the forest. Here are some of the things He said; camping in the forests helps
- Lower stress levels
- Lower blood pressure
- Increased immunity to sickness
- Increased inner peace and happiness

We all finally slept around 4am but were all up by 8am for a forest walk and forest bathing (shinrin-yoku). Forest bathing simply means taking in the forest atmosphere. After our forest bathing, we returned to our camp site to have our breakfast, played some more games, had a talk on the preservation of the ecotourism and finally decamped at 12noon.

Learning Points
- Forest camping is a fun activity and should be greatly encouraged.
- Other parks in Nigeria should also encourage overnight camping by tourists.
- Stop illicit bush burning.
- Nigeria needs to utilize her forest resources more.

When you are chosen by God, this is the result. To be honest guys, I was almost 90% sure Atiku was going to win this election, until I figured most of his supporters ain't going to vote.. .. (Just look at the numbers of registered voters to the accredited ones) Scaredy and lazy cats, but good for us as I can't imagine the PDP party coming back into power. Congrats Bubu... I hope you don't disappoint us, but then realistically speaking, 4years would have been too short to bring about a significant change in the country now you got the extra 4 years to do that. Goodluck.

This election has proven that the problem with Nigeria is not mainly caused by bad leaders as people always say, but a massive lack of education as the root cause. Every educated person knows that Buhari lacks the knowledge and health fittness to rule a country. But amazingly he is getting a second term. This can only happen when the masses are not educated. Atiku was winning the polls on social media because those who participated in the polls were the more educated Nigerians. Even though Atiku is not the best choice but he is better than Buhari and had the best chance to remove Buhari than the other candidates.

Lack of education is the biggest issue in this country and this country will never go anywhere as long as it remains like that. If Buhari can be reelected then it means rouges like Tinubu and Ameachi can also win an election in Nigeria as long as the masses are this uneducated. I have lost hope in this country.

If the online voters are truly educated as you claimed, they'd have done the necessary thing by going to cast their votes for their preferred candidate, but unfortunately your educated friends do not even know the way to the Polling booth.

op, you are so on point! the Northerners don't go out there to register for PVC just because the bank needs it for identity like most of us do, they get their PVCs just so they could vote.

I knew it was going to get to this as all the PDP supporters I know either do not have PVC or spent the day on their beds e-fighting.

I really don't ignore people, but chatting online isn't my thing, my close ones can testify to this reason I'm always on NL, as I prefer to read without being propelled to reply anyone. I sincerely really do not care.... I don't think one is better than the other...i just wished we all could be wise enough to stop voting in these northerners...but then we could only achieve this if we believed in 1 Nigeria, and not just getting a candidate from the north because we know he is from the tribe with the highest population.
