Romance / Re: 10 Signs That Shows You Are Pregnant. by BecaciaBarbie(f): 1:20pm On Jan 07, 2020
Allsingles:

Pregnancy, also known as gestation, is the time during which one or more offspring develops inside a woman. A multiple pregnancy involves more than one offspring, such as with twins. An embryo is the developing offspring during the first eight weeks following fertilization, after which, the term fetus is used until birth.
Symptoms of early pregnancy may include missed periods, tender breasts, nausea and vomiting, hunger, and frequent urination. Pregnancy may be confirmed with a pregnancy test.

You may have an inkling that you are pregnant soon after you have conceived, when the fertilised egg attaches itself to the wall of your uterus (womb). This usually happens within about 10 days of conception.

Or you may be unaware of any changes for weeks, only wondering if you are pregnant when you miss your period.

Here are the signs that shows you are pregnant.

1) Prickling, tingling nipples
As pregnancy hormones increase the blood supply to your breasts, you may feel a tingling sensation around your nipples. This can be one of the earliest signs of pregnancy, and is sometimes noticeable within a week or so of conception.

Once your body gets used to the hormone surge, this sensation will subside.

2) Spotting and cramping.
It's common to have some spotting at the time when you'd usually have your period. You may notice a slight pink or brown-coloured stain in your knickers, or when you wee, or feel slight cramping. Experts aren't sure why spotting in very early pregnancy happens, but it's thought to either be caused by the egg implanting in your uterus, or more likely, the hormones that control your periods kicking in.

3) Feeling sick.
If you are lucky, you will escape this completely. However, morning sickness is a common symptom of early pregnancy. It often starts when you're about six weeks pregnant, though it can start as early as four weeks. You may feel sick and queasy, or even vomit. Despite the name, morning sickness can affect you at any time of the day, or night.

4) Tender, swollen breasts.
Once you are about six weeks pregnant, your breasts may become increasingly tender to the touch. It’s similar to how they feel before you have a period, but more so.

You may notice that your breasts are larger and swollen, with blue veins visible just below the skin. Tenderness tends to be most common in the first trimester, easing as pregnancy progresses.

5) Feeling tired and
Exhausted.
You may find yourself diving for your duvet as your body cranks up to support your baby, right from the early stages of pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones in your body are to blame, as these can make you feel tired, upset and emotional.

Though fatigue is not a sure-fire symptom on its own, it's a common pregnancy symptom. You may find that tiredness wipes you out the most in your first trimester and third trimester.

6) Needing to urinate frequently.
From about six weeks of pregnancy, you may notice that you ..

Romance / Re: Need An Advice On My Relationship by BecaciaBarbie(f): 12:37am On Dec 09, 2019
Ladykiss:
Good afternoon nairaland fam, i need an advice on my relationship.

I met this man 6yrs back and we started dating, he has divorced with his wife like 7yrs back in UK before i met him and he based in UK. Now to the main gist. To be straight forward i love this man deeply but i refused to show it to him based on my past relationship experience. He kept disturbing me to settle down with him but i told him to give me some time because i don't want to be a liability on him.

Fast forward to last year this man got married to another lady he just met not up to a 6months, it really break my heart but what will i do? I had no option than to congratulate him and wish him well. I decided to move on. His wife gave birth this year, i wonder if he got married to her probably because she got pregnant for him or something, well i won't go deep into that.

All of a sudden the new wife sent me a message mocking me, calling me an ex. This a woman i don't know physical, this a girl that just appear from no where and got married to him, yet i sincerely wished them well. So why mocking me by calling me ex is what i don't understand? I wonder if this woman know how hurt i felt when she sent me that message. To be sincere with you, i parked on the road side and cried my eyes out, 6yrs of relationship gone just like that.

To the husband part he still want us dating but i refused, not that i don't love him but I felt disappointed in him. This was the man that showed me genuine love for the first time in my life, not by money because i don't request money from him, i have my own money. But you know when we talk about true love, am deeply in love with him, and am regretting not saying yes when he was disturbing me to settle down with him.

Note this man has taken the lady and the new born baby to UK since they married legally but he kept disturbing me to be his second wife and promised to do British paper for kids i will have for him. My replied to him was if i was actually dating you because i want to be a British citizen i would have settle down with u for long and become a UK citizen before u met that lady u married. I only told u to wait let me hustle for myself and not be a liability on you but u went ahead to marry another lady.

This man refused to let me go but to be honest i still love him too, he came to Nigeria last month (Nov) and we are together all through. My nairaland family, please am i doing the right thing?

Please put yourself in my shoe before judging me, 6yrs relationship just like that is not easy. Am confused.
I think I know him....you schooled in the U.K

OPay is actually taking over Nigeria! I have been enjoying their awoof from on set lol now I order for Ocar anyhow because it is just #250 from my home to my place of work and same goes to most destinations too. I also invested my money in Owealth, and I have gained about 100% what I invested shocked
Please how are they making money because these awoofs are too good to be true as they also don't charge for bank transfers and on airtime they give you 10 naira interest on it and so many more. Really, I believe OPay would really take over Nigeria really soon and maybe Africa too.

OP, you funny! Tbh, one can never be too safe.

For me, I don't know how but I always have the courage and strength to go for HIV Tests every 3months.

My last check was last week and its Negative as usual.

The girl I'm currently seeing now, I met her a virgin. And even at that, I still took her for a test at a private hospital to know her status before any bedroom activity.. And she tested negative to HIV and other std.

Y'all won't believe that the day I deflowered her, I still wore a fiesta condom. Lolzzz

When I went for my normal HIV test, I narrated everything to the doctor, the man laughed like "You already know her status, why use condom again?" I answered "One can never be too safe" He then said since I met her a virgin, that the likelihood of a virgin having HIV or any std whatsoever is practically low, so she could pose no threat to me. He even said, she's even the one at risk of contracting something from me.

I said "Sir, one can never be too careful" which is true and he also concurred to that.

Unless you know your partner's health status, never do raw sex.

That's the motto I live by and its working for me.

People are getting infected with this virus everyday. May the good Lord save us.
Wow! So I hope you are going to marry her? Don’t come here in few years time screaming “no virgins in Nigeria” because you just deflowered one!

Your doctor is actually right, it is nothing and should stop on it’s own. I had same issue many years ago and it started with me takin Malta Guinness on the 4th day of my period, naa so I bleed for almost 3 weeks! Ran for tests and results came out clean. It is hormonal imbalance and would definitely stop. It was a scary experience and since then my high cravings for Malta Guinness reduced lol

You're just very wise, like a professor. If everyone could read this, its a summary of wisdom to live an ideal life. Don't forget that people that mostly stay online a lot to comment are useless, wayward, condemned, lazy, fraudulent, slay queens, etc It's like going to beer parlour to preach about honesty, hardwork etc, they would surely lambast you because of the category of people that are there. ,Most right thinking people are offline and would praise you for your virginity. those online wouldn't even comment to your post at all. It's very weird to see some people condemn virginity, they're the most rotten of all kinds of people. I'm not a saint,i am not an SU or Alfa, I'm no born again, I'm not religious but I respect virgins a lot and see them as the most beautiful of all girls that refuse to give their body to people anyhow. Virgins are the high class brand new Rolls Royce of girls while non virgins are the old dilapidated Datsun of girls.
Never ever judge people's opinion with online comments, it's mostly rubbish said by lazy fools that sleep online all day to get sugar daddy, sugar mummy, scam people, etc.
Also, virgin girls are much more than people think, I also used to think there are no more virgin girls due to generalisation and stereotype, but there are so so many virgins everywhere in the world and they're the special types of girls with pure clean blood, clean everything unlike non virgins that may have STDs they don't even know they have and anyone that marries them would be having different diseases because he tested wife for HIV alone not knowing she has some other STDs and it isn't possible to test for all.
Most men love virgins as wife and that's why virgins are hotcakes. Anybody that rejects a virgin for being a virgin only wants to Bleep her and leave her and would have bleeped her and leave her if she wasn't virgin, we men always want to marry virgins and respect her virginity by abstaining from sex with her till wedding night. some men that marry non virgins are only settling for less and would condemn a virgin because they wish their wife was one when they met her but can't reverse time. Just keep it up bae till wedding night when you will really enjoy it legal with that prince charming. Those that are having sex before marriage face different kinds of hell. Am I pregnant? people must not see me, condom busting and thinking they already contacted hiv, fear of kiss and tell, many different problems are attached to premarital sex. Keeping oneself is pure rest of mind and great love life with future hubby
Sincerely you have typed out my mind ! Absolutely everything!!!! It still baffles me how ladies easily give out their bodies to men, because sex to me is a very very very big deal! I’m no saint and won’t judge anyone, but I pray and hope our young ladies realize this and keep themselves till their wedding nights.

Wow! I could remember opening a thread here many years ago as a new member here, telling everyone about my virginity status...I was bashed so much, I quickly begged the mods to delete the thread of over 30 pages filled with insults. People are scared to talk about their status today, to avoid being mocked or making the other person feel bad...which I understand really, but the truth is keeping yourself till your wedding night is the wisest thing to do. Forget all the stories you read online, God is the ultimate and you shouldn't please man to displease God, neither should you please your flesh. Just imagine how it would feel like, having sex for the first time on your wedding night....you know the excitement to have sex without being scared of all those things that comes with pre-marital sex is out of this world. This life would be a much better place, if ladies closed their legs.

Very typical of them. They know me as being quiet and reserved, so they don't mind wasting my time...but last month or 3 weeks ago, I showed them the other side of me, shouted at them all for wasting my time! Imagine, the man there was just parading, using me to do other things...I gave him a very hot piece of my mind as I was running late for work too, they were all shocked and attended to me fast.

The best part? It doesn't cost you a dime.
