PoliticsRe: “May It Not Be True”. Joe Igbokwe Reacts To Tinubu’s Transition Team With No Ibo by Bede2u(m): 4:17am On Apr 26, 2023
lhordspy:
Lol. Just look at you using 'to mention a few' at the end of the the 5 man list like there are millions of others. grin

Please tell me. Asides these guys mentioned above; bolded, which other igbo political bigwig supported Tinubu?

Chimaroke Nnammani in the list is not of his party. Orji uzor kalu couldnt deliver his senatorial district to Tinubu, but won same senatorial district election for himself; in an election conducted same day, same time... Only ballot papers separated them. Funny isnt it? Yet you talk about about support.

In Enugu , the state with the highest former Governor, senate president, serving ministers: Ken nnammani, Sulivan, Godfrey onyeama and the others bigwigs all in APC. Tinubu polled only 4900 votes. Not even upto 5k votes. undecided And you are here Preaching support?

Asiwaju got less than 1.5% of his vote from Southeast.Infact take away Tinubu's total vote in SE, he will still be the winner. If election is conducted 3million times, the number of voters for him in the SE will not increase instead it will keep decreasing.

By the way, who should he have included? The people on the committee are mostly youths and middle-aged. Igbo youths are all on social media photoshopping PICCs line into Tinubu's arm for propaganda, while the rest are cooking up fake news about imaginary Guinean, called Tinubu.

Even this Joe igbokwe lamenting, as a commissioner in lagos, asides his social media chochocho , can he solemnly swear that he was able to deliver 10votes from his igbo brothers for Tinubu or sanwo olu in Lagos?

Igbos antagonised him before the election.
Opposed him during the election.
And are still running campaign of calumnies against him after the election.

The reality of these new Nigeria's political setting now is that; No one is going to placate anyone with any political post. Everyone must work for it. Time of pity-party is over.

What you sow is what you reap. Welcome to the new dispensation.
so non of the 4900 people that voted him in Enugu could be included in his committee?
Before 2014 when APC Nigerian government and politicians were not this tribalistic. All these started with apc
TravelRe: How Much Will It Cost Nigeria To Build Cities Like These? by Bede2u(m): 11:15am On Apr 24, 2023
Iamgrey5:
Those cities were built by the Boers not blacks.

Those cities were built over several decades from proceeds of daimond, Gold and platinum found in South Africa.
You need to stick to a narrative.
First you said we don't have the money, when he pointed at South Africa having less gdp than us, you now started talking about the boers. Are boers not South Africans? Are the natural resources you said here more profitable than 60 years of selling oil? Is a country with Nigeria's GDP and population not supposed to have at least one city that looks like one of these?

The population of Nigeria should be 100 million at most.

Every independent Data released always point to that direction.

It is also clear that Lagos is the most populated with estimation of over 7 to 10 million people.

Kano should be 5 to 7 million people.
kano isn't larger than 3 million. The population of Cape Town is 4 million, check capetown and kano on Google earth

PoliticsRe: 25% In FCT - A Simple Explanation On Why APC And INEC Have Erred (my Opinion) by Bede2u(m): 11:33am On Mar 24, 2023
dat9jaguy:
Hypothetically, let us assume the candidate that won FCT lost other states without getting 25% in them but the opponent won the remaining 36 states without getting 25% in FCT, then you will call for rerun huh It just doesn't make sense.
This example is hypothetical and just for this argument.
the reason why lawyers get paid is to play with words. A good lawyer can successfully argue that fct is different from the states in this context. I just wish we all could move on though. Cos Tinubu will not put every yoruba person on payroll. All these are just the I pass my neighbour mentality of Africans. A Tinubu presidency shouldn't mean a 'yoruba' presidency.
PoliticsRe: 25% In FCT - A Simple Explanation On Why APC And INEC Have Erred (my Opinion) by Bede2u(m): 5:55am On Mar 24, 2023
dat9jaguy:
From your own statement you have contradicted yourself.

The reason those who wrote the constitution had to still write FCT, Abuja is because they knew it was not a state and so did not count Abuja as a state but a capital, if not they would have stopped the statement at "have not less than 25% of total votes cast in at least two-third of all the States in the Federation".

But they had to stress FCT,Abuja in it to make sure that whoever will interpret the law will know that Abuja was not considered a state when they were referring to "states".

Since FCT is not a state it has to be emphasized along with the other states as part of the federation. So 25% of the states and FCT.
If your argument is correct that means I can win FCT and my opponent wins the remaining 36 states then you will call for rerun huh
winning 36 states doesn't mean your opponent didn't get 25% in those states and they also won fct too

PoliticsRe: Why Lp Lost In Enugu. by Bede2u(m): 8:33am On Mar 23, 2023
domDva:
Without prejudice to any possible rigging by pdp, there are three key factors that gave PDP victory in Enugu.

There is no doubt that A LOT of people in Enugu are tired of PDP and would easily vote for any other popular candidate.
However, Mr Okey Ezea, an LP senator elect from Nsukka in that infamous video circulated online was seen shouting that the governorship election is a Do or Die affair for Nsukka people, that Nsukka is more populated than Nkanu and should use their alleged voting strength to elect Edeoga who most people from Enugu East see as an Nsukka man. That outburst re-enforced that feeling.
Every Nkanu man and woman took that outburst as a direct challenge,

Frank Nweke factor: The Apga candidate got support from a lot of independent minded Obidients who felt that voting along party line is not the right thing to do, they prefer a candidate regarded as more competent notwithstanding the party. Most of them chose Nweke of Apga, Aisha Yesufu pushed hard for Nweke. This ultimately ate deep into Obidient votes that naturally would have gone to LP.

Thirdly, a lot of people in Enugu consider Edeoga as incompetent, he has been in government since 1999 but it is hard to point out to his achievements. He was the immediate past commissioner for environment in Enugu at a time that Enugu became filthy. Though, he claimed that the parastatal in charge of keeping the city clean was taken away from his office and placed in the office of the Governor. A lot of people didn’t buy this excuse.

Mba is no saint but people believe that since he has succeeded in the private sector as the owner of Pinnacle Oil, he will be a better choice than a career politician who has nothin to show for his years in government.

In summary: Nkanu and Nsukka “fight”, emergence of Obidient Frank Nweke of Apga and the alleged incompetence of Edeoga worked against him
remove that first reason. Most enugu people didn't care about nsuka vs nkanu factor. LP failed because of other reasons you mentioned and because Peter Obi did not endorse Edeoga

You succeeded despite that the zombies tried to prevent you from using the same Priests and Bishops to get support for your campaign as they had already used for their own presidential campaign.

The stinking hypocrites who have no integrity or character like their desperate leader who emerged as a result of political prostitution and ticket hunting without party ideology, claim they want to give us a new Nigeria, yet all they have provided is chaos and mass delusion.

Do your best to provide sound leadership with character and integrity that they do not have.

Ensure you secure your state from those terrorists.

You made some points no doubt. However, I hope you guys are prepared to tame the monster you helped create in Tinubu?

Tinubu hates both Hausas and Igbos in equal measure. Dude is coming to promote a dangerous Yoruba agenda. 80% of the economy has been cornered by them, they're partly in control of the media and now they have political power...

North should have backed Obi but due to religious intolerance since he is a Christian and Igbophobia, you guys backed a monster...

At this point, only a North/East alliance will stop him and his evil agenda. If Tinubu occupies Aso rock, he is going to promote Oduduwa agenda.
unfortunately only a few leaders have ran a 'Nigerian agenda'
Those few leaders in my opinion were Gowon, Obasanjo, shagari and yaradua. The rest have ran a regional agenda. The northern leaders currently are not national leaders. Their intention is to sideline the SS, SE and NC completely.
The plan is to make el rufai president after tinubu...you know what that means already. More ethno-religious strife.
Sad days ahead

How dare obi, an ibo man think he can contest election as president in this country? He has set ibos back for doing this

How dare obi an ibo man think he can win the votes of Lagos in the presidential election? He has set ibos back for a million years

How dare obi, an ibo man think he can join a party and start a political movement in this country? Doesn't he know the place of ibos? Ibos will be put in their place for this.

How dare obi go to court to challenge the elections as an ibo man? Does he now equate himself to buhari who went to court 3 times. Ibos will suffer for this for a billion years.

How dare ibos? The audacity of ibos to demand to vote and be voted for in Nigeria!!

You are the most foolish and dullardly Igbo on Nairaland so I am not surprised, like a toddler, you are not aware of the impending consequences of what Igbos have unleashed on themselves.

You have now seriously provoked and embarrassed the Yorubas who are your biggest accommodates and benefactors on earth, before other Nigerians and the whole world, by taking our kindness for weakness.

You cannot even find a decent Yoruba to field as Labour candidate. Instead it is an openly proud IPOB tout who says he is now learning Yoruba at age 40.

Lagos is not the only cosmopolitan State in Nigeria your IPOB touts can attempt to govern but you would dare not try it because the indigenes will always put you in your place before you overstep your mark.

Most Yorubas now realize we have allowed you overstep your make dangerously from when you began calling Lagos "no man's land" unchecked. I pity Igbos especially the most cretinous of them like you.
all these petty noise will not stop us from voting Eluu p. It will also not stop igbos from moving to lagos.

I've no problem with you apart from calling Lagos a Yorubaland no man's land, got many good Igbo friends whom I can't trade for a price of rubble..

Yoruba is the most civilized and has the most developed region in Nigeria, this is not bragging but facts..💯 So reason before you spill rubbish next time...
First of all is that no igbo leader has called lagos a no man's land. I only hear it here from yorubas. Secondly, the issue now is not that but that LP won in the presidential election and may possibly win the governorship. Again stop shifting goal post and tackle the issue.
Is the igbos in lagos within their right as Nigerians to vote LP? Yes or no?
Is the yorubas within their right to burn down shops and threaten to kill igbos? Yes or no?
The most developed region is North. If you visit Abuja, you will prefer it to lagos. Kano is more developed than ibadan. Kaduna is more developed than ogun. You know this.
