I planned to fund my education myself but the school admitted me with full tuition waiver and monthly stipends, total package valued at 47,000 USD and deficit is 3500 as my COA is 50,500 USD. The organization I work for here in Nigeria is supporting me with 5000 USD. Now, the Funding section on my I-20 reads:
Graduate Assistantship: 47,000 USD
ABC Organization sponsorship:
3,500 USD
Total: 50,500 USD.

Please, who do I feel as my sponsor on my 1-20? Me, the school or my employer? Don't forget, I planned to sponsor myself. THANKS

Congrats. Use the School. You're filling DS-160, not I-20.

Its not a red flag but its still better to use someone here. She can send the money to your parents then use them as sponsor.

My questions are:
1. What is the process to apply for DS-160 and interview appointment for the 3 of them?
2. Does she have to fill DS-160 for the 3 of them separately or Is She just going to fill hers and include her children information in hers?

3. For the interview appointment, is she going to book just one Visa appointment for the 3 of them and pay 3 visa appointment fees Or have to book 3 different visa appointments for the 3 of them separately?

Finally, few years ago when I filled my DS-160, passport photo was not attached during the application, does the recent DS-160 application requires passport photograph to be attached at the end of the application?

I just want to get accurate information regarding this matter before she proceeds.

To your concerns, Your spouse, and children can apply via the F2 visa. They'd be allowed to visit throughout the duration of your program. You can search more on it.

Please any suggestions on how best to convince the V.O on plans to take care of the kids? What are the things I'm expected to have in place tobe able to travel with them.. I have not been able to find anyone in my shoe on this thread.

I feel its just best to be honest about your response. There's no 'perfect' answer, just let your story add up. Search through the thread, I've seen someone that got visa approved with her dependents.

No one can determine when they'd reply. Lagos embassy are often delay in responding to emergency appointments. You can use the 'Provide Feedback' tab on your dashboard to send a reminder.

Try and locate optima hotel. It's around area 10. 5mins ride to the Embassy.

Hello. Personally I feel there's nothing to worry about. At the right time you'd get an update on your application. You can also call the school to know what's happening.

Don't pick the date yet, there's usually a timeline they give for you to reschedule. So keep checking, a closer date should pop up.

1. He needs to receive the form I-20 before any further actions can be taken.

2. SEVIS FEE is to be paid after receiving the I-20 from school. He can schedule appointment without paying for SEVIS, but he can't interview without making the payment. SEVIS must be paid 'latest' 3 Business days to the appointment date.
