You only need to create a profile on the CGi before emailing for SURGE Appointment.

Fill a new DS-160 and submit before applying for surge. You were denied recently so can't really make much changes on the Ds form (except you switching schools). The old DS form is already saved on their database and the new one you want to fill MUST be consistent.

I updated my ds160 number on the cgi portal but cannot see the icon to email new appointment confirmation to reflect my new ds160 number.

just click the 'Appointment confirmation ' the page would come up with your new DS-160 number.

Print out the email. That's your appointment confirmation.

Please how do I change my appointment location from Abuja to Lagos embassy. Please I need the steps, am I supposed to cancel my current visa appointment date and start all over again. If so, is my GTB visa fee still valid?

Dont stress. You can go to the Embassy with your DS-160. They'd pull up your file and switch your location before interviewing you.

Please someone should clarify, I paid for the study visa fee with Gtbank app, and I was able to use the transfer reference number on the online appointment portal before to see dates, I sent an email to Lagos surge email address on Thursday but yet to get a response m. I tried to book an appointment on the online portal again to request for emergency appointment and used the transfer reference again, it’s now saying “no valid records for this receipt number bla bla” did someone experience this? Or what does this mean? I’ve not yet gotten a date

You'd get a response for the surge dates within 3/5 Business days. You'd print out that email, take all other docs and go for your interview.

Follow the link in the email, download your sevis receipts. Apply for the EA and attach all necessary docs.

Good morning everyone, I’ve been given admission to study in USA but didn’t collect the is-20 form because I needed a scholarship because I couldn’t afford the fee, woke up yesterday to see 2 scholarships awarded to me with $18k off my tuition. Now I’m to apply for the is-20 form but my fear is the date for interview. It’s just so close. Can I book interview date down or wait till the form is out. Confusion wan wound me right now because I don’t know how long it will take for the I-20 form to be out with processing and all. I’m to resume Jan 18 for spring. It’s just too close!!! Please anyone with any advise....

Hi. Congrats on the scholarship. You can still meet up with spring session. Apply for the i20 form. Choose Lagos and request for emergency appointment, you'd still get a date in December.
