Would I be correct to assume there is no infrastructure in the area?

Is it an estate?

What other estates or developments are in the area?

My idea of reasonable price is less than N500,000.
PoliticsRe: Picture Of Governor Oshiomho In Voting Queue by beknown(m): 7:00pm On Apr 10, 2011
There is no need to hate someone without any valid evidence.

I was in Benin City in June 2010 (10 months ago) and I was surprised at the construction on roads in the streets in Benin City. I can confirm that there was massive road construction in the streets in Benin city. The roads, drainage and pavement were being constructed at that time. All street roads cannot be completed in a short time.

The development of Edo state cannot be completed in a short time, it is an ongoing exercise. At least I saw the evidence of Gov Oshiomole's work. There is no evidence of former Gov Lucky Igbinedion after 8 years.

Gov Osunbor of PDP stole the political mandate in Edo state during last election. He ruled the state for sometime before the law removed him. The rightful candidate, Gov Oshiomole, was then sworn in.

People should look at the evidence.

The Benin - Ore - Lagos road is a federal road and many contracts have been given out by the PDP federal government. All the money for the contract are corruptly eaten and nobody raises any question.

PDP government is bad for any political position in Nigeria.

Edo state university in Ekpoma was already neglected before Gov Oshiomole came to power. He cannot do magic in the short time he came.

University of Benin is a federal university and it is the responsibility of the federal government to look after it.
FamilyRe: Modern Marriages Vs Oldern Days(those Days) Marriages, Which Do U Prefer & Why? by beknown(m): 12:02am On Apr 09, 2011
True marriage is not for children.

Most modern marriage today is formed like children playing. When the reality comes, the modern couple drive themselves apart. Besides, most modern women have lost their identity and now crave the identity of a man only when it suits her.

God made them man and woman for a purpose. They are not the same in physical structure, God knows why and let women not kid themselves.

Olden days marriages are far better. I wish I had the opportunity of those days.

The example of my Mum and Dad is exemplary.
PoliticsRe: Reuters----80% Lagosians Will Vote Jonathan. How True? by beknown(m): 11:31am On Apr 07, 2011
This shows the level of ignorance in Lagos. Yet, Lagos is one of the most enlightened place in Nigeria and with high population density.

Just imagine that 80% of Lagosians are classified as 'mumu'.

Lagosians and indeed all Nigerians must wake-up from their sleep because the next election will determine how Nigerians value their life and the life of future generations.

We cannot continue to live a life of ignorance in Nigeria.

Ignorance is worse than 'mumu'.

Admittedly, nobody want to be called 'mumu'.

NTA is the campaign machine of the PDP.

Just watch NTA and the evidence is clear in all the news stories.

All NTA news appears to be about only PDP and Jonathan political campaign.

HABA! Even the blind can see the unfairness.

If you do not believe me and you live in the UK, watch Sky Channel 204 from 9pm to 10pm.
Christianity EtcBiblical Tithing Or No Tithing? by beknown(op): 9:57pm On Apr 05, 2011
People must be open-minded. This topic is a simple debate and a learning process for all Christians.

Should christians dwell on tithing? Should churches use their biblical knowledge to make christians pay tithe? Is tithing biblical?

If you think there is epileptic power supply now, well, you have not seen anything yet. Just vote PDP for good measure of darkness.

This is the evidence that PDP + GEJ will lead Nigeria to perpetual darkness in the next 4 years.

Don't give them the chance.

I hope Taiwo Egbon has a good lawyer. Etisalat can afford the best lawyer money can buy.

Tell Taiwo Egbon that he has a big fight in his hand.

For a start, you must provide a valid proof of your damages. You will need expert witness conversant with mobile telephone business.

Taiwo and his lawyer should prepare well oh.

PoliticsRe: High Profile Nigerians Registered Twice – Jega ! by beknown(m): 1:46pm On Mar 03, 2011
@Shagaman,

Software has the capacity to remove corruption from Nigeria by catching criminals using their fingerprints and biometric data. Many other countries are enjoying the dividends of AFIS software.

For Example, read this report from Australia Police:
http://www.policensw.com/info/fingerprints/finger15.html

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF TECHNOLOGY

Read more about AFIS software:

1. http://www.swiftbiometrics.com/en/fingerprint-software/expressid-afis-software

2. http://www.neurotechnology.com/mm_sdk.html

shagaman:
Jega should stop all the holla ballo of the software nonsense, even a secondary school graduate can write programmes.
Excel is too small to compare with AFIS software. Excel is a general spreadsheet software but AFIS is a specialised software for managing identity.

Programming is not for children, it requires high analytical skill and logic. Do not be deceived by people who do not know the value of software.

What other crisis does GEJ want for the youths?

The Nigerian youths are already marginalised, they have no jobs, they are hungry and abandoned. Is that not unimaginable crisis already?

It shows that GEJ does not know what he is talking about.

I dont see how a revolution gonna take place i n Nigeria, for starters we dont even speak one language or have one tradition unlike the arab states and besides, we dont like ourselves.
One language or tradition is not needed. You do not need to like yourselves. You may not physically know one another in a revolution. You only know and have one identity - Nigeria.

Information technology (IT) will bridge all the communication gap.

Check the following questions:
What is the language of blackberry?
What is the language of facebook?
What is the language of GSM?
What is the language of internet?
What is the language of e-mail?

The questions cannot be answered because IT has bridged the language gap.

That is the problem with you guys- once there is a divergent view, you turn into an animal and begin to use name calling to make a point. I care not where you live, I care not what you think, you can not douse me with your name calling. The same right to free speech which you have here is the same others have. So, shut the f up. If you are sad that people dont agree with your thoughts and opinions, thats your problem. But to say others should shut up because you think you are making a better point, smacks off silliness.

If you want a revolution, come and start it - period. Whats the name calling for? You stay far away and call for others to come out and protest. Come back home. Or do you think the entire Nigeria reads these crap on NairaLand?
@againstGEJ,

You are my brother. There is no need to pick a fight. It is a lively debate. The views of everyone is important.

With thousands or millions touting revolution via their comfort zones in the West?

some people are not at per with realities in Nigeria. Go to a place like Lagos, do a research, ask the market man/woman if he will join a revolution, do so for all the cities in Nigeria, you will then know what reality is on ground.
@againstGEJ,

You surprised me. You have forgotten that there is information technology revolution already. Our location is not relevant in a modern day revolution. I guess you know facebook, blackberry, twitter, internet, email, etc. These are the tools of revolution. Revolution depends on efficient communication.

The Egypt scenario did not happen with a few people running from house to house. Information technology provided a quick and efficient means of communication to help the people in Egypt to reach each other.

Technology is the bedrock of any modern day revolution. Do not expect people to physically knock on your door in Nigeria.

Do not be deceived by the word 'revolution'. True revolution will not mention the name.

As you now know, information technology revolution sweep through the whole world daily.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Bakare Manifesto - The Best Ever! by beknown(m): 1:41pm On Feb 24, 2011
This is an impressive manifesto.

People must understand that a plan of action does not need to be complete at once.

The manifesto show that there is room for improvement.

If 50% of the manifesto is implemented successfully, Nigeria will be one of the best nation in the whole world.

Oil money is available in Nigeria in abundance to help put all the correct structures in place.

Arab nations depend on their oil wealth and they are enjoying. Why not Nigeria? Imagine Saudi Arabia recruiting Nigerian professionals and doctors and paying international salary rates. Nigeria need our professionals at home, not abroad.

Nigeria can then use the oil wealth to diversify the revenue base of the country after building and developing the infrastructure.

The best plan of action so far.
PoliticsRe: Egyptian-type Revolution Impossible In Nigeria – Fg by beknown(m): 1:11pm On Feb 24, 2011
I am surprised that many Nigerians forget too quickly.

The FG is a joker. A revolution can happen in Nigeria, it may not take the same form as in Egypt.

A hungry man is an angry man. Many people would participate in a revolution without knowing. Before they even know it, a revolution has happened.

It may surprise you that many Egyptians are still in shock in their accomplishment. And some Egyptians do not consider their effort to be revolutionary at all. But see the result.

The FG should be careful when making patronising utterances.

The FG should try to change the hopeless situation of our people now.

Revolution does not ring bell, it will come when it will.

When it start, it will not stop; that is revolution.

Protest is good. Let us start from our own homes - brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, aunts, cousin, nephew and friends.

The coming election is an opportunity to change things for good. Let all Nigerians abandon PDP and their agents, they cannot come to power by force. If they do, we will adopt the Egypt style.

Vote for change.

Vote for any party but not PDP.
PoliticsA Message For All Nigerian Youths by beknown(op): 10:06am On Feb 22, 2011
A Message to Nigerian Youths,

Stability is the only hallmark of the PDP 12 years at the federal level. But stability at what cost? To the masses, stability means stagnation, as the economy prospered so the number of people living in poverty increased. It may interest you to know that:
1. Despite our huge resources, in the 12 years of PDP rule more than 70% of our over 140million people live on $1 (N150) daily
2. The richest black nation does not have a functional refinery,
3. A major oil producing nation imports petroleum products from non oil producing nations,
4. Our international airports have never been upgraded not to talk of building new ones,
5. Our hospitals are worse than veterinary hospitals in less wealthy countries,
6. Our educational system produces educated illiterates,
7. While South Africa gave a contract for 5,000MW at just $3b for electricity, PDP spent over $17b in 11years on power to generate less than 2,000MW yet we do not have electricity.

The future continues to look bleak but we can use our votes, our phones, our blackberry, our twitter, our facebook, our email to effect the type of change that the youths in Egypt effected in 18 days. Remember, the youths of Egypt made sacrifice, they were resolute, they abandoned ethnic differences, they influenced and mobilised their parents and their friends because they wanted to salvage their future. The future does not belong to the parents, it belongs to the youths.

The objective is simple, to have a clean break from the past, issue PDP a red card and restore hope for the future. The task is simple, inform anyone close to you who are young, young at heart and/or desire a brighter rewarding future for Nigeria. You are reading this message because another youth made the effort towards changing Nigeria for good. Let us continue to dream of a great Nigeria. Remember, our kıds need a better lıfe and ıf we act now, we can go to sleep knowıng that our generatıons wıll not suffer. As you all know, poverty lımıts your thınkıng, ıncreases anger, breaks you down and can cause broken homes.

Please act now.
