PoliticsRe: Can Jonathan Goodluck Deliver? by beknown(m): 4:50pm On Feb 11, 2010
As a people, let us be optimistic for once. He will deliver.

Removing Aondoaka is his first successful delivery.

His characteristics are positive - not sick, well educated, experienced, responsible parent/husband and he will not rely 100% on advisers.

All Nigerians must be ready to support him. How?

- Let us quit corruption.
- Let us support him with our conscience and whole heart.
- Let us help each other with open mind and with no strings attached.

If all these happen, Nigeria will develop by force before next election.

Do you know that there are married couples wanting to hear the cry of their own baby for many years without any success?

Would you consider giving your children away for permanent adoption to enable you have time to enjoy your life with your wife?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Are There Jobs In Uk ? by beknown(m): 2:34pm On Feb 09, 2010
@Pafun,

It is not all Nigerians in the UK that are doing shit jobs.

I accept that some Nigerians are not doing the jobs they would really like to do but, at least, they have a job and they are taking care of themselves and family.

Some Nigerians are in good professional jobs, especially those who studied and completed their course in the UK. I know many Nigerians in the UK who are: Solicitors, Barristers, IT Consultant, Doctor, Nurse, Midwife, Civil Servant, Social Workers, etc.

There are still jobs in the UK. But there are less jobs now compared to the time before the recession.

@Poster,

Have you considered a time with your spouse at the beach? You could just run around like children or play beach volley ball. You must be ready to be active together.

If you are not close to a beach, get ready to travel to it. The beach can relief a lot of stress. Try it.

INEC has failed to maintain a good electoral register. Just imagine the number of eligible voters who did not appear in the electoral roll.

This is the evidence of what we will get in 2011 election.

INEC is bad news.

Anambra election: Contestants react to result •Soludo congratulates Obi •Result unacceptable –Ngige •I rest my case with God – Ekwunife

Written by Sam Nwaoko and Leon Usigbe, Awka

CANDIDATES in the governorship election held in Anambra State, on Saturday, have reacted to the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.

In their various reactions, Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Dr Chris Ngige of the Action Congress (AC) and Chief (Mrs) Uche Ekwunife lamented the inability of their supporters to cast their votes in the election, saying this largely contributed to the result the electoral body declared.

In a press conferences in Awka, the state capital, Professor Soludo said “I congratulate my brother, Peter Obi. In spite of the great flaws, INEC has declared you winner. You will have my support. The struggle is not about us but it is about a better Anambra State.”

Soludo said the election meant that “we have to work extremely hard to fix the electoral system,” adding that voters register had become a new way of rigging elections.

Ngige, while addressing journalists, said the AC would not accept the outcome of the election, adding that his party would come out with a position on the election soon.

He said a situation whereby over 80 per cent of the eligible voters in the state were disenfranchised was not acceptable and heaped the blame on the electoral commission, saying that it was working in concert with the government of Governor Obi.

He alleged that most of the agents of the AC in the election were arrested on various flimsy charges by the police on or before the election day, adding it was a grand design to ensure that his supporters did not vote.

In a release she signed and made available to journalists in the state, the candidate of the PPA, Mrs Ekwunife, said she would not challenge the result of the election in court, adding that “I rest my case with God, the final arbiter.”

She said there was no gainsaying that the result did not reflect the true expression of the wishes of the people of Anambra State.
This is another failure in Nigerian politics. What hope have we in 2011?
FamilyRe: For The Married Folks: What Happens When The Novelty Wears Off? by beknown(m): 7:49pm On Feb 07, 2010
@Poster,

The novelty of being boyfriend and girlfriend will surely wear out. The novelty of being married never wears out if you both work towards oneness as God destined marriage.

As for children (whatever their ages), they are the blessings in the marriage. Many married people who do not have children are not happy, even with all other enjoyment.

Plan and organise your children around you and your spouse. That is one of the joy of marriage blessed with children. Remember that you are more matured now with more experience. Allow plenty of time for you and your spouse, very important.

The love of husband and wife is not like the love of parents and their children. Your spouse should be your soul mate and best friend.

Never let your love for your kids or job come between you and your spouse. Always make your spouse feel wanted.

Make time for both you and your spouse to do something that you both like and enjoy. If you like holiday, live the children with grandparents or good friends. If you cannot take a travel holiday, both of you can take a day off work  and take the children to school while both of you can do something you enjoy together. You may also plan something for your weekend for both of you alone.

Never let the novelty to wear off. Let no circumstances or situations or recession cause the novelty to wear off.

Think about all the things you did that made the novelty to blossom.

After thinking about them, put them into active service.

Emeka Okoroji has sold his birthright for a bowl of soup.

No sane human being in the whole of Nigeria will descend so low into protesting in support of a President who does not recognise his own national responsibility - the so called President left the country in confusion.

People like Emeka Okoroji should not be allowed to walk the soil in Nigeria. He is a disgrace to Nigerian youths.

HealthRe: Evil Nurses & Doctors In Nigerian Public Hospitals by beknown(m): 1:43pm On Jan 28, 2010
@Poster,

I fully agree with your findings. I have similar experience of hospitals in Benin city. The situation is nationwide.

It is unfortunate that some Nigerians do not want to agree with these failures among our Doctors and other health care professionals.

arkinses:
ahem! did i just read you say "never in the US"? The woman in this video died in the waiting room of the Kings County Hospital AMAZINGLY in the US (not the acronym of Soviet Union spelt backwards) and 45 minutes later, her corpse was still there. . . unattended to! So quit making it look like the healthcare system in Nigeria is Hell's Kitchen
At least in the USA, failures are few and far between. The US patients have redress when these failures happen. The reverse is the case in Nigeria.

Doctors, Nurses and other medical professionals in Nigeria are not properly trained in ethical standards and professionalism. As a result, many of them fail woefully when they come to the USA and UK to find jobs. They spend many years writing medical exams in the UK and USA before they are allowed to practice. That is a shame.

Why are many of our Nigerian politicians and elites running to USA, UK, Saudi Arabia, etc for their medical treatment? Nigerian medical system has collapsed already.

Let us call the spade a spade and let us stop deceiving ourselves.

Sam Milla:
What depends ?
It was a simple question.
All you need to do is say how often.
And he gave options to chose from up there.

Clear reason why we fail exams,
The question is simple but incomplete. If this was exam, many people would have failed already.

1. It is assumed that the partner is male or female in a loving relationship.
2. It is assumed that they are at different locations otherwise there is no need to 'call.'

As you can see, the location of the partner will determine whether you call and how often.

I hope the simple analogy above has clarified the reason for my previous post.

Do not venture into a territory you know nothing about.

The lady is 26 and obviously older than you. What makes you think you can control a woman older than your big sister?

Before you think of marriage:
1. Go finish your school first and then start working.
2. Seek a woman your own age or younger.

There is no buts, just do it!

That is a very poor result for a populous state like Lagos. What a shame!

i didn't touch her for over 3 months and she finally got the messages.
i initially started with the line that i have some fasting to do(God forgive me abeg)
and it took off from there,
RomanceRe: Your Bf/gf Decided To Go Celibate! by beknown(m): 3:19pm On Jan 21, 2010
@poster,

There is always a reason for any decision. Also, there are different types of celibacy:

1. Fasting celibacy as in some churches (temporary - one day or more depends)

2. Priesthood Celibacy as in the Catholic Church (permanently devoted to religious devotion)

3. Celibacy until marriage (no sex until marriage)

Bf/Gf should consider the points above.

Note:
1. If your bf/gf decides to abstain from sex until marriage, then respect their wish.
2. If your bf/gf decides to abstain from sex to join the Catholic Priesthood, then look for another relationship and move on with your life.
3. If your bf/gf decides to abstain from sex because of fasting, well, be careful. There is a hidden agenda.
FamilyRe: Can Children Be Mentored By Absentee Dads? by beknown(m): 2:34pm On Jan 21, 2010
@Poster,

A father who is temporarily absent from home for work purpose cannot be classified as an absentee dad. Do you expect a responsible dad to be present at home all the time?

A responsible dad can mentor his children from anywhere depending on the arrangement he has made for his family.

Work patterns differ from one dad to another in the present age. A dad who stays at home all the time could be classified as a loafer, unless he is working from home.

A hardworking and responsible dad will pass on the traits to his children, whether he is at home or not.

Physical presence at home does not make a dad a good mentor.
FamilyRe: Can Children Be Mentored By Absentee Dads? by beknown(m): 1:11pm On Jan 21, 2010
This question is not clear because an absentee Dad can take different forms in the modern day:

1. Temporarily absentee Dad who is out to fetch food for the home, cares for his family and pay the bills.

2. A permanently absentee Dad as a result of divorce but provide care for his children through legally agreed arrangement.

3. A permanently absentee Dad who has ran away.

4. A permanently absentee Dad who only donated sperm to facilitate pregnancy.

Etc, Etc.

Please be specific about the absentee Dad.

He is one of the generations of leaders in Nigeria today who have failed woefully. People like Prof Okolo are educated illiterates in our society today. Every Christian in Nigeria must praise the effort of Pastor Bakare in the protest in Abuja. Many other Pastors are afraid.

The Bible clearly show that faith without work is dead.

Christians have prayed and fasted. Praying and fasting are good but there is more that Christians can do. It is time to do some practical work. If people fail to do some simple things for themselves to help civilisation, God is not to blame.

There is no need to fast and pray to attend a protest rally. It is the civic right of every Nigerian.
