How did you plant the lettuce? Did u just cut small holes in styrofoam for the seeds and drop the styrofoam in ur fish ponds?

50 - 70 full grown adults. Can be pushed to 100 fishes if u are ready to do regular flow through.

Make sure u pay on delivery and check all d bags. Dont send any money to anybody even if they take u to see a warehouse. Those pictures are online pictures.

The four major things that determine success in fish farming are WATER GOOD FEED MANAGEMENT AND GOOD SEED . Take one out of this four things and am afraid it will be disaster at harvest ...ALL ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT .....Make sure you have a ph tester its as cheap as 5k n the market ....everyday you should know your water ph ....Infact its an operation show your ph meter either liquid or pen type before doing your next fish farming ...it determins a lot.....
Good feed do not mean must be very expensive because too much costly feed will only lead to spending all your profit on feed ...The magnet gelatin feed has taken care of feed completely ...cheap and quality....
Management ...i will put up a write up immediately cutting off all the big grammar and calculations that makes fish farming difficult ...i will further break it down to the level that even a new fish farmer can easily manage his or her farm without no external help .
Good seed is also very important in getting low fcr .......Thank you

It is impossible to attain such weight in 5 months. What you will likely have is few 1% or 2% of your total stock get to 2kg at the end of 5 months

Exactly... Plz tell them. Some pple will stock from jumbo and will attain weights in that range but they wont tell you it was jumbo stocked. Some will keep the fish longer than 5months but wont tell u. Before even attaining such weight, one needs very good fast growing seeds wt very good feeding wt quality feed.

Lesson learnt.
1)don't expect much profit as a starter,if u make a loss nofin spoil.
2) don't cut cost when it comes to feeding. Also do not waste ur feed.
3) feeds that dissolve quickly gives little yield
4) constant water supply is very very important.
5) start small(500 pieces), start strong, be optimistic and be focused. Do it itself.(the secret is dat if it is not lucrative people will not still be doing the business)

There is no business on earth that is not lucrative. Even if its to sell gutter water, it will be lucrative if u put in ur best and create a viable market for the product. It takes hard work, dedication, perseverance and continous learning . You also have to be business minded.

Brother, its not a get-rich-quick business. Dont expect to put in 100K and reap 500K in 4 months. Its very lucrative but you need to understand what u are doing and know that farming is a business and thus business factors also affect it. I will advise/suggest u visit some fish farmers around you just to have d basic ideas of what it entails.

@robonski I did call them yesterday and the woman said 100k for 10 by 10. I think if its not too expensive. can I get it somewhere else cheaper or a cheaper alternative. I don't want to use concrete pond cos the land I want to use is not mine so want something movable. please let me know if I can get better option

yes and no as you will discover later on. Can one even start with zero budget ? yes.
can one start small ? yes as you will discover later on. what about feeding issue any ways around this without big budget? yes .
shelter and security ? yes serious issues but there are ways around them.
need for training ? yes formal or informal , on the job or otherwise
Risk ? yes. moderate to high but can be mitigated .
profitable ? sure , profitable with ready market year round without religious, cultural or medical limitation s

please let us focus on issues of goat business. let us leave marketing out for now, you will always get market for your product. later you can discuss market.

1.i used geepee tank 2000 Ltr to stock my fish. I changed d water on a daily basis cos am feeding them with local.does it av any adverse effects on them due to stress?
2.i observed that every 2days I found 1 dead. Is it normal or something is wrong.

Hope they are not over-stocked in the 2000ltrs tank? There shouldn't be need to change water daily even if u use local feed.
