If you have a positive assessment already, what is stopping you from applying to the state nominating?

The only way to know if you will be invited is to apply. With 60 points, you should be able to get a 489 or even 190. You can't know until you apply.

Good morning everyone, been a silent (aka ghost) follower. I've learnt a lot. Thank you all who are here selflessly helping... I am a radiographer and my question is somewhat specific, I have done some of the things needed: I wrote TOEFL and passed, Im gathering documents and I just wanted to know from someone who has done the assessment what I should expect as the result. This will determine if my husband should begin his own assessment to give us that extra 5 points.
What is your husband's occupation?

Thanks for the above information.

Please what's about those that worked in the private sector, how can they possibly get the pay slips?
You get payslip from the company or organisation you are working with.

Yes it is. However, the CO may still ask for your tax certificate. Nothing is certain.

@ bellong

Thanks for responding.
In fairness, their website states 8-10 weeks but I have seen lots of people on here get faster responses on their assessments that's why I am worried. The assesment body used to be VETASSES but was recently changed to ACWA.
Assessing authorities are different from another. You can't compare body A with B. In addition to the standard processing time, individual circumstances are also taken into consideration.

My advice is for you to exercise patience. If nothing after 10 weeks, get in touch with them.

What is the guideline for standard processing on their website?

Yes. I am claiming points for work experience.

Got assessed by ACS and had to submit only my employment reference letter on official letter head.
You have to ask your company to provide you with your payslips. Go to inland revenue of your state to pay tax for the years covered. Present offer letter, payslip and tax certificate.

Hello people,

For those who have gotten grant, I beg what did you submit to proof your employment?

I just got my ITA, but now am confused about how to proof employment for two of the companies I worked because they didn't pay regularly and no pension/tax return.

Please help.
Are you claiming points for work experience?

What documents did you submit for assessment?

To get additional 5 points from your spouse, his/her occupation on the same list as you and will do a skills assessment. A positive skills assessment is important to get the points.

Individuals will have to determine the occupation to nominate by him/herself. Occupation to nominate depends on other factors aside course of study largely being what the person is currently doing.

The experience the person has is as important as the course s/he studied. It will be difficult for anybody to 'prescribe' an occupation without knowing what your friend does.

That being said, your friend can help himself by going through the occupation list to identify any that is related or closely related to what he currently does. Going by his course of study, chemist would have been the best option but it is not sponsored by any state neither is it on the 189 list.

Hello guys, kindly help verify if this visa grant notice is legit.
I will advice you to report this fellow to the efcc or any other security agency to put him where he belongs.

1. There is no more subclass 457 visa. It has been replaced with 482.

2. The initial entry date cannot be 01/09/2019 except you did your medicals or police certificate on 01/09/2018.

3. This is very obvious that it was edited from a copy of another visa. So many errors.

4. The officer approved the visa of 2018 in 2019.

5. This agent is not smart and very dull. He has done a very poor job of editing a document. Without looking in detail, it is obvious it is not a genuine document.

6. VEVO did not return any information about this. I actually checked VEVO to confirm if he tried to swap someone else's visa for you. No record on VEVO.

7. Did you at anytime do medicals or submit police certificate during the process?

8. The passport number, does it match with your passport?

9. How much did you pay or agreed to pay for this?

10. This person wanted to put you in more trouble.

Rather than seek agent that will put you in trouble, you can do this thing by yourself. You still have time as you are not 45 yet. If you have occupation on the skill list, you can get the process started. Check the other thread for more information.

Greetings of The Day,

Please, I want to be enlightened on a Class XB Visa (842) to Australia.... I went online to do some little research and found out it is strictly under Offshore Humanitarian Visa.
What can you say about this? Pros and cons and the rest about it.
Can one go ahead with the process under this package?
To your honour TYOSHO, I have sent you mail via nairaland and to the rest in Australia, please respond as this will help a brother of yours immeasurably.

Thanks
Humanitarian visa is for asylum seekers. You will have to provide convincing evidence and reasons for seeking asylum.

I am not sure you will be approved from Nigeria because the country is not at war not any serious persecution going on against a tribe or people.

The visa processing also takes a very long time.

In other news, I met Jamson in real life and I was thrilled, haha. We met at a mutual friends birthday party and I asked him for Bellong, haha.

That’s the person me I want to meet in this Australia. I hail thee!
Can you help SuzyAllen with his query?

Thanks...

I am miles away from Sydney. Not sure I will get to have holiday in that city again.

Tanx a lot. Airbnb is expensive the ones I got are from $850 and above. Its been mentally exhausting( this too shall pass!!!!)
I think you should look further away from the CBD for now. Accommodation that are 30 minutes in proximity to the CBD are very expensive.

Check further away as a temporary measure. You can check, Liverpool, Blacktown, Paramatta etc

Hello fellow compatriots. Finally landed in Sydney on the 18th of October, 2018. No immigration hassles. Actually have accommodation challenges and I need kind hearted suggestions. Been staying in a motel with my family of 4 for 2 days now($131 per day). Of course expensive and v spent my time looking for affordable alternative on airbnb since my arrival . Got one but unfortunately my host cancelled my booking last minute. Want to start surfing for rented apartment and was wondering the best low cost, safe suburb (300-400 per week) for a family at least 30 mins from Sydney CBD. Also if anyone has contact of a reliable agent, pls help me with it. I need to leave this motel asap. Thank u.
Have you checked through Airbnb again?

It is the best short alternative before you can get a permanent place.

Alternatively, look for backpackers that can accommodate a family. Motel is expensive.

I don't live in Sydney, I have no other alternative idea. Hopefully someone living in Sydney will come to your rescue.
