Employer sponsored visa... If you get a job in Australia and the employer is willing to sponsor you, this is the class of visa you will apply for.

You can't apply for it without a job offer and/or commitment of an employer to sponsor you.

@Eboziem,

Your write up shows that you have done a bit of good research yourself.

Going forward, you should consider your current job descriptions against the occupation. For some occupations, you only need at least 5 years to get positive assessment in lieu of the right qualification. .

If your job descriptions match that of the occupation, the questions you should ask yourself now is, can you get 75 points to meet SA' s requirements for nomination?
Secondly, are you able to get a job in that field to satisfy WA's requirements for nomination?

These are the two questions you should answer before considering the occupation.

For an occupation to be on CSOL list doesn't mean it gets sponsored by all states. A state nomination requirements must be satisfied before being invited.

I will advice that you check your job descriptions and look for a closely related occupation sponsored by any state which has no complexity for nomination.

thank you belong for the response,

she said she would opt for Public Relations Professional since she hadn't even worked for up to 3 years in her present employment as a Pension Officer.
Does her job descriptions fit in the Occupation? Only ACT sponsors it and she needs to read their website first for requirements before going ahead with the assessment.

@Nanlop55,

I will let you know if and when I have possible answers to your question.

Congrats again bro. I am just getting to know now that IOM offers discounted travel services for new immigrants to Australia. Please how does one go about it?
Even though we are still waiting for ITA, its not a bad idea to have some upfront knowledge. wink
Google IOM, send them email when you are ready. They will ask for your passport details and visa reference number I believe.

Dear friends,

I have finally made payment for my flight to Adel aide but I have question, IOM mentioned in their mail that what they gave me is an "estimated quite", so does it mean they would refund me if final amount is less than what I paid?
When are you arriving Adelaide and what visa are you on?

dearest belong, I have answered your question
Tell your sister to consider these duties and choose one occupation on the list that closely align with them. She alone can decide on occupation by comparing her duties. She will not have issue with qualification as she already bagged a Master's degree but she needs to carefully choose her occupation.

@Chidike,

Congratulations.. The journey is close to an end.

@Bnimz,

Hopefully no one jump in your front. We expect the good news next round. It is your turn.

I missed this..

With what you have described, you may not get a positive assessment from VETASSES as a specialist manager because none of all what you described can fit in to the occupation.

Look for one occupation that can fit into one of the jobs you have done.

and please, can I apply for this occupation at any time of the year?
Yes, you need to write an English test first.

Yes, you can apply anytime but the earlier the better. Delay can be dangerous.

^^^^^ I believe the opening page (page 0) has all the important information anybody needs to push through.

The problem is most people want to be spoon-fed. It is like someone who prayed for food and when God provided the food is asking that God put the food in his mouth when he is not physically challenged.

Is your PGDE in Education?

What subjects have you been teaching?

Teaching is a good profession and you have a good chance of getting job quickly especially if you teach science subjects.

The instructions on AiTSL are pretty straightforward. Follow it and get your assessment done provided your PGDE is in Education.

Thank you very much Super boss Bellong , I appreciate the response greatly .

He has 10 years experience . He can get a letter rom his employer to match the stated job functions . He doesn't have and other qualification apart from his HND from Kwara State Polytechnic .
Do you mean he has an HND in addition to a bachelor degree?

@Afope,

Write your IELTS, there's nothing stopping you from getting a positive assessment.

Start the process now...

Happy Sunday to you all good people , I would like to know if there is anyone who has tried skill evaluation through vetasses for Internal Auditor . My hubby has a degree in business administration and happens to be a resident internal controller in a financial institution and would like to explore this option .

Internal Auditor is on the updated SOL list

In anticipation of a response o ...... thanks in advance .
How many years of experience does he have?

Does his duties align with that of ANZSCO descriptions?

Does he have any other finance related qualification?

Which school did he finish from?

@Omambala,

There's nothing like claiming work experience with VETASSES except for the point test advice.

Your fee will be $810 for full assessment which is the standard.

I will be very happy if anyone can help me out with these issues.
1. You will have to submit all the qualifications include your bachelors so you can get the maximum 20points from qualification. I can imagine how difficult it is getting transcript from some schools. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than getting ordinary transcript. However, you have to try all you can to get it.

2. You can't use the assessment of one occupation for another even if they look similar. Your assessment must be from the Occupation you are applying for. You just need to read the ANZSCO descriptions of the two occupations well and go with the one that closely align with your duties. With VETASSES, you should be very meticulous and careful in writing your job descriptions. It must align with ANZSCO description for positive assessment.

Goodluck.

@Mamajaz,

The race is not to the swift..... Time and chance happens to them all..

Wait, your time will come madam. I understand the feeling, you are not alone.....

It shall soon become a story...

@40manlappy,

Way around is to look for job in another regional areas after trying for so long in your region and then initiate the release process.

Ask your region to release you. They will ask proof of jobs you have applied to and how many months you have tried to live in the area. If they are convinced you have done your best, they issue you a release letter. After which you can pick up the job.

The clause is, you must live in a regional area even if you get released in your old region. You can't look for job in a city, it must be a regional area.

That being said, the whole of South Australia including Adelaide is classified as a regional area.

Sorry, never done any search on regional area with employment prospects, so I don't know. However, if Newcastle, NSW and Bendigo, Victoria are classified as regional areas, they look promising.

@Segunwamiri,

As explained by both Bnimz and Utcheylee, 489 is good when it is the only cheap option you have left. I only discourage it for people who because of rewriting English test wants to switch to 489.

489 costs same in terms of finance and stress as 189 and 190 but it doesn't come with any government benefits. If you have to study, you pay same fee as International students etc.

You must have professional job for at least 12 months before applying for permanent resident, though you can get around this.

It has the condition of living in your nominated region spelt out unlike 190 that is a moral obligation. On 489, it is a lawful obligation, if you don't get job in the region, you will have to go through process to get released.

Yes, people get jobs on 489 and are doing very well. However, things can be a lot easier on a 189 and 190 especially for married people with kids or those who still want to go to school.

On 489, employer can only offer you contract terms and not permanent employment until you change your visa.

Like I said, I will not discourage anybody whose only option is a 489 or student visa. It is still a better choice provided you have a backup plan to mitigate situations if things don't go as planned especially in the early stage of arrival.

All the best bro.

I'm tying to buy a ticket and I wanted to ask if one can enter Australia with a One way ticket without problems at the Point of Entry.
If you are going for a course that last for more than a year, you don't need a return ticket.

Yes, you wouldn't have problem at the point of entry.

What is her occupation?

You can only practise medicine after being registered by AHPRA. Meaning, after the exam which I believe you know. However, you can get some other things to do while preparing for the exam.

Travel? Travel what? And which threads, threads in Nairaland? Come on men, that's just giving me abstract. I wouldn't dwell much on that.

I rarely trust and commit anything I read or see here without perusing it and coming to my own conclusion.

You saying there's one guy is still you dealing in abstracts, because there's always 'one guy'. I'm sure you know what abstract is.

Beside, I've asked my friends in the U.S. They said they've never heard of anything like that. One attended Stony Brook University, the other, Lehman College, and another University of Southern California. So I'm wondering....
If you graduate with a first class, you can be admitted directly to PhD. She is right about direct entry to PhD for exceptional students.
