Good day everyone, am really new here and have been reading
Repeating this question shows you don't read nor follow the thread. I already asked you some questions you have not responded to.

Go back and read, then answer the questions.

@Keleto,

A read of TRA's website will answer your question.

@Iceberg54,

Start packing your stuff. Congratulations

@40manlappy,

Way to go. Good to hear she decided without pressure. She should hold the test by its jugular this time.

Thanks so much bellong for the response.
My area is economic research development and management (I have all degrees in Economics). So, you mean this does not qualify for Victoria state nomination? The detailed description of this job classification appears to be broader as long as it is research management (so I thought). I am begining to see your point, anyway.

Bellong, do you see any other chance for me? I haven't seen any state requesting for Economist.
Thanks.
@bold,

Yes it is that is why they want science based researcher. You should read details on Victoria's website.

South Australia sponsors economist but you must have 75 points to be sponsored as it is on special conditions.

I know I shouldn't get involved but what kind of people are you connecting people to?

Must you guys always take advantage of others' helplessness?

The person cannot help without collecting 260k? That is very very ridiculous and you all are the same people complaining about the country when it is your actions and that of others destroying it. Case note is someone requesting 260k to facilitate a legal payment.

Hello house. I have been following this interesting discussion. Good job all. I need some clarifications.

1. Is one year job experience after PhD ok for for 20 points under qualification? All my degrees are related to the occupation (Research and Development Manager).

2. Would 60 points for state nomination be a good idea for Victoria state?
Thanks
Do you have experience in the field prior to your PhD?

PhD in itself is 20 points. Points for experience is different.

You only need at least 55 points for state nomination. For R&grin, Victoria requires that it is strictly science oriented research.

Good day everyone, am really new here and have been reading up on the general guides, the major challenge am having now is that my qualification does not tally with my work experience and on the VETASSESS site, it says your qualification has to be close to your work experience for it to be assessed. i studied a language and am working in the financial sector. please is there a way around this glitch? thank you.
What occupation are you looking at nominating?

How many years of experience do you have in the Occupation?

I actually taught that maybe she was not satisfied with the provided info but then again, what is there not to be satisfied about? That is the true info of what was requested.
Reply and send to the email it was sent to you. There should be a number in the person's signature.

@doghorp,

Check the ANZSCO description if your experience can align with a small engine mechanic?

Small engine mechanic is on both SOL and CSOL lists. Mechanical technician and draftsperson which you are qualified for are only on CSOL list sponsored by two states.

Small engine mechanic is assessed by TRA.

As regards form 80,

Does it matter to have personal contact in Australia (Question 47 & 48). Does having contact add value to onces application?
NO, it doesn't matter. A NO is good enough.

Can one give a NO answer to Question 31 "Do you know any details of the places you will stay during your time in Australia (eg. hotel, friends, relatives)?". What is the effect of a NO answer.
Yes... Or simply put the city you intend settling eg. Sydney, Melbourne, Onkaparinga.

@fabulousfinite,

The body to assess you depends on your nominated occupation. You will see it in front of the occupation you intend to nominate.

@Kikiade,

Sir, I can't place my hand on it now as it is somewhere on my system. Anytime I have the luxury of time to do it, I will.

Regards.

@Bigfido

Your wife only need English test if she can't get a letter from her university in support of language competence.

If you have the required points, you don't need any point from her.

@yody,

Yes you can nominate PHM or Medical Administrator. However, you need to read VETASSES' instructions for the two occupations. I once attached a document from VETASSES here which has further information about all occupations assessed by the body.

I am very sure, your degree will be assessed positively, where you may need to work on is how to convince them on the experience.

Once you land, waste no time in passing the AMC exam. Practising as a doctor is a gold mine. Unfortunately, my brain is too active to go back and study medicine.. cheesy

@bolaobby,

In the form 80 and 1221, you must fill in the information of all your siblings. You wouldn't have to do their medicals except you want to add them as dependents.

When I submitted my application, I added some family members as dependents not traveling with me but DIBP crossed them all out themselves. No medicals requested for any of them.

She has been working as a Customer Service Representative those five years with one of the Telecommunications firms in Nigeria until she got promoted recently to be one of the Quality Assurance officers.
South Australia currently sponsors Customer service manager for 489 visa and it is low availability already. It has been for the past 6 months though.

Abeg let those that have paid their visa fees and did their biometric tell us how they went about the payment. This info is critical
I believe he applied for student visa when teleperformance was still handling the application processing to Pretoria.

Teleperformance does only biometrics now for temporary visa applicants and no longer involved in the application. So your friend only told you part of the story.

PR applicants don't do biometrics... Teleperformance don't handle any of the PR process. In essence, paying in Naira is not possible at this stage.

@Canadianboy,

If the occupantion is assessed by VETASSES, don't disturb yourself. Look for a similar Occupation assessed by another body and jettison VETASSES.
Maybe external auditor with CA

@Desxter,

Start from page 0, read it and follow the steps. It is very easy.

I don't know the best way to simplify it than it already is. To give it a try, summary is

Write English test... IELTS or TOEFL

Check Engineer Australia's website for template on writing a CDR. Write yours for assessment..

If you get positive assessment, fill the Expression of interest on DIBP website and wait for invitation.

This should simplify whatever you read on front page.

What is your specificationshuh cheesy cheesy

I get them plenty, can dash you one.

@Damoche64,

If you have the experience, to avoid complicating issues, just assess it. Though it is possible to assess without assessing your experience but you wouldn't declare you have no experience.

As per your wife and children, the best bet is to look for the money and get it done with. Spouse visa takes time and you may end up regretting not applying together.

In addition, I don't support leaving family behind. Where the snail goes, the shell must follow. What God has joined together, let no DIBP or application fee put a temporary separation.

May financial doors be opened unto you.

Goodluck not Jonathan ooo.. cheesy

@Bumpypat,

How old are you? You can't go with her as a dependent even when it was permitted as you are now an adult.. cheesy

Engineers have it very easy compared to other occupations. Start your own process now and let your sister carry her own cross.

Please do read the letter issued by the university. Some staff in the university write nonsense that you wouldn't believe it was written by a university staff. Proofread it.

Thanks for the feedback bellong. I nominated Public Relations Professional(state nomination), a much need field in ACT. Would you advise I appeal the assessment?
Appealing it may not yield any positive result. Someone I know from UNIBEN got the same thing.

Do you have any additional qualification?

Are you able to find an occupation that requires a diploma or associate degree?

Friends, please I need your advice on a situation. My bachelor's degree in Business Admin(2.1) from UNIBEN was assessed as an associate degree by VETASSESS, so my question, Is Nigerian bachelor degree equivalent to Australian associate degree? Or was my qualifications wrongly assessed. Your thoughts please.
Which occupation did you nominate?

VETASSES is a funny body that assess differently from others. It doesn't mean your degree is lower than Australian bachelor degree, only that VETASSES think it is. They have some selected universities they assess equal to Australia bachelor degree.

@ALL

Please I will appreciate if no one add oga to my name. Bellong is fine by me and I like it that way... Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

@Cecegal,

1. He should find time and complete the CDR. Once it is done, I believe he will get a positive assessment.

2. The documents you have should do. Add payslip, offer letter, promotion letter (if any), bank statement and the publication for sale. They are all convincing documents.

3. No need racking your brains to fill gaps. Put he was in between jobs and searching for job. If he did any training or course during the time, add it or tell them he was doing a self study to keep trend of the market. NO offense or penalty for being unemployed for a period of time. Everybody gets to experience it at a point in his/her life.

4. If EA approves his work experience and it is enough for points, claim it. Don't run away from claiming work experience. WHy stress yourself paying thousands of Naira when you can make up for the points in experience.

May 2017 open doors for you and yours and to everybody...

I wish you all the best.

well, my friend re-converted him to christ 6months ago
No man can convert anyone really. 6 months is still way too short to know what's up his sleeves. I have heard and seen people who pretended to be changed for long before showing their true colour when they got what they want.

The only constant in life is change. A very bad person can turn out to be a really good person in the long run. The fact that this person has changed completely for better cannot be overruled as I cannot read his heart nor do I know him. However, some questions to ponder and deep thinking that requires your friend/you to think about.

Bible says "though hand join in hand, a sinner cannot go unpunished". Every man will face the consequences of the evil seed down in the past whether converted or not. This guy is 34, he already put three ladies in life time emotional turmoil, do you think there wouldn't be consequences?

He claimed the ladies are bad but we don't know the story of the other ladies. If they are truly bad, then his sense of character judgement needs serious questioning.

Left to me, no matter how changed such a man is, I will not put myself in a position of regret in future when I have to deal with too many baggage he comes with and consequences of his decisions.

Nevertheless, when it comes to relationship, I believe He that created the institution of marriage should have the final say. Scratch whatever Pastor tells you. You must be able to hear God yourself. Whatever Pastor says should be a confirmation of what you know. If you don't have that depth to identify God's leading on this issue, you probably have to be patient, get people of character, honest, godly and spirit filled to pray together while baring your heart sincerely to God. I trust God to answer you.

But going by what you wrote, I sense trouble lingers for your friend in the future when he gets what he wants.

My one cent, tell her to zip up and if possible put an iron and steel gate in between her legs.
