mummy1964: i kept wondering that from page one of this part. no one o quote NO ONE applied as a teacher for PR. does that mean nigerians were not qualified or our certificates wete not recognised by AISTL or we couldnt meet up with band in ielts.? very suprising. abi owo lo fa ni? There is no part that says Nigerians are not qualified. There are teachers who have migrated and are not on Nairaland. This thread is a general instruction for all occupations. It was listed there that you should follow the instructions of your assessing authority. Take time to read requirements of AITSL, I guess for teachers. If you can meet their requirements, you are good to go. |

catchdwind4rmkd: These Australian senators and ministers got no chill...
Provisional Visa
So now they're debating over stopping direct Permanent Residency visa, and in place of that issue a provisional visa that will eventually lead to permanent residency.
I envy those that have got theirs done and dusted. Guess it's time to buckle up for me, though I'm sure it won't happen anytime soon.
The Liberals will first have to crack the ALP and Greens to push it through and that is one hard nut to crack. It may never happen under Turnbull. |

@Amanda0.
No one can confidently tell whether you will get a positive assessment or not until you try. However, with VETASSES, nothing like closely related. Your experience must match the description of the occupation you are nominating.
As per Northern territory, it is not a bad place contrary to whatever you may have read. An average Außie doesn't like it because it is hotter than the rest of the country, it has a tropical climate along with parts of Queensland(Northern part).
What you need for POF is clearly explained on their website. Not necessarily liquid cash. Anything that can translate to money.
That being said, I guess you should be more worried about your assessment at this stage than Northern territory. |

LaserFocus: Bellong, kindly help me with this question. My first degree is in Pharmacy and I have an MBA from a UK university. I have been working in Human Resources. How do I go about assessing my credentials since I am not practicing Pharmacy. Also, do they assess professional certifications like CIPM & HIS? If you have experience working in the occupation, yes you can get a positive assessment. Your professional certifications will be an added advantage as they will show you truly had a career change. @Akinnawou, Congratulations bro.. on to the next phase. May God direct your steps and grant you speed. |

I don't understand what you are saying but you can't use payslip of company A to apply for company B. The evidence of payment must be from the experience you are claiming. |

@Yody,
I don't know how else you can show proof of paid employment if you can't provide payslip or bank statement.
In addition, I am not sure if he can lay claim to Primary health care manager as they are not related.
He may want to consider welfare centre manager instead but the Skilled migration assessment is for a paid experience not volunteer job. |

It is not compulsory to show tax documents if you can provide payslip and bank statement. It is only advisable to present at least one third party document. |

jelmusboy: Have asked many questions about Medical Laboratory Scientist in this forum but nobody is answering me. All I can see is about Engineers. Don't we have other occupations here or we can just change the topic to Engineers Migrating to Australia People can only respond to what they know except you want to be misled. You don't have to be frustrated because your questions are not being answered. You already got a response from the assessing authority, no one here can offer a better information than the authority concerned. If there's any part of their response you don't understand, shoot them an eor call them for clarification. For other information people know, I believe you will be responded to. Better for us to be quiet than mislead you. The medical laboratory scientist I know on this forum are still going through the process, I guess they can't answer your question. By the way, there are other occupations aside engineers, at least I am not an engineer. |

lusen: if one meets the required points(60pts). is it automatic one will get the visa. can i get the visa in 6 months if I start the processing now? I'm still weighing my options. I got an offer for a two yr master of architecture prog. My occupation is listed on the SOL list. but I'm thinking the accessing body (AACA) of my occupation might make too many requirements or even need me to write exams when assessing me. The six months timeline was for the guy who studied engineering. You are sure of getting the visa as long as you satisfy your assessing authority's requirements and meets minimum of 60points. |

I have not had any dealings neither do I know any that has dealt with Tasmania but I know Victoria is very picky with Geologists. The state prefer you to have good experience in mining. nelsono: The bolded can be misleading on face value. It's not needed for assessment, but can be assessed (if yu hv relevant experience) by Engineers Australia & if +ve gives u 5pts The way it came off, might be seen by some as if work experience isn't needed. My 2cents
A three (3) yrs work experience in Nig gives yu 5pts whilst a 1yr work experience in Oz gives yu same 5pts. You are saying something different. That's if you need it for point. I added that part because he said he doesn't have work experience. |
