Media trial

This woman Diezani requested to come to Nigeria to prove her innocence last 2 years when she regained strenght after treatment for cancer EFCC refused and prevented her from coming to Nigeria to defend herself.

Now election is near, they now want to use Madam Diezani to score political points.

We will continue to experience hardship as far as we continue to blackmail innocent professionals who served the nation diligently just for political reasons.

Our best professionals will continue to abstain from serving the nation because no one wants to be blackmailed.

Why prevent someone from coming to defend herself then turn back to media trail close to election. Shame on EFCC.

He should better go to the street and engage the people and stop wasting his time here.

Yellow fever vaccine is given at Right upper arm, Check the National Programme on Immunization schedule on vaccination to confirm.

You see

When Jonathan said this borno state governor had a hand in bokoharam many doubted him, the shettima of a guy even denied it. Guess what, truth will always prevail.
With the recent massacre of Nigerian armies by bokoharam due to sabotage by their Chiefs by stealing money meant for arms and given them obsolete and not working instruments, one would expect Shettima to at least condemn the bokoharam group and assist family of the deceased but obviously immortalising his bokoharam hero is more important to him.
To you Mr Shettima you can rejoice now because people are being killed, you are sponsoring bokoharam by funding them in the name of ransome.
But know that the blood of the innocent ones that you have killed directly or indirectly will hunt you, the pains you have caused their families will get back to you Mr Shettima, the problems you have created by making children fatherless and young women widow will get back to you shettima.
Lastly you shall reap what you sow Shettima.

Restroom:
At the end of the day, will the federal government honour any decision mediated by the Industrial Court? This strike, Jones and NMA is all about money money politics!

Johesu don't know how to lobby! They are fighting the minister to increase their pay, but have not shown to the minister what he will get in return for jacking up their pay.In Nigeria nothing goes for nothing!

NMA know how to lobby their way! They tax themselves, by deducting raw cash from doctors salaries, contribute it to one pool and splash the dough on the minister of health and everyone else concerned.

They don't mind collecting 50k from each doctor in federal Government payroll in Nigeria and then splash the minister of health with say 20million or 22million naira, to increase their pay! After collecting 22million from NMA or thereabout, he sign whatever pay increase NMA and ARD demands for!

So what this strike has shown is that, JOHESU does not want to splash money on the minister, to make their own money!

If Johesu leaders give the minister of health say 10million for example has gift, o boy, Adewole will sign that paper sharply and order ministry of health, budget and what have you to increase Johesu pay!

Johesu leaders have not understood this simple effective cunning man die, cunning man bury am logic of Nigerian politicians.

Health / JOHESU Suspends 43-day Strike, Orders Workers To Resume Work On Friday - Punch by Benite: 7:42pm On May 31, 2018
Eniola Akinkuotu, Abuja

The Joint Health Sector Union on Thursday called off its 43-day-old strike, directing its members to resume work on Friday.

The body also lambasted the Federal Government for failing to meet its demands.

The directive was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the National Executive Council meeting of JOHESU and Assembly of Healthcare Professional Associations in Abuja.

The communiqué read in part, “The various gains from the meetings with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, were presented to the NEC of JOHESU.

“After exhaustive deliberations and discussions, the NEC in session approved that the six-week old strike be suspended this day Thursday, May 31, 2018 because of the sympathy the unions have for the suffering Nigerian masses and also to pave way for further negotiations to continue on Monday, June 4, 2018.”

The union maintained that the strike was not political but was based on the principle of fairness and justice.

It, however, had harsh words for the Federal Government for failing to honour its promise of increasing the salaries of health workers.

Health / JOHESU Agrees To Suspend Strike June 1 by Benite: 2:06pm On May 30, 2018
… As NIC takes over mediation process
By Luminous Jannamike

ABUJA – In consideration of the plight of health-seeking public and to give room for an amicable resolution of its dispute with the Federal Government, the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU, on Wednesday agreed to suspend its 44 days old strike on Friday June 1, 2018.

This decision followed the intervention of the National Industrial Court, NIC, which offered to take over the mediation process between the striking health workers and the government.

Before now, an NGO, the Incorporated Trustees of the Kingdom Human Rights Foundation, KHRFI, had obtained a court order against JOHESU; mandating the health workers to suspend their industrial action on the 21st of May, 2018.

But, in pursuit of its constitutional rights to either comply or challenge the Court order, JOHESU filed an appeal at the Appellate Court.

However, the leadership of JOHESU decided to sheath its sword and direct the members of the union to resume duties since the NIC, as a neutral and impartial organ of the Judiciary, has mandated its mediation centre to take over the negotiation and reconciliation processes within the next 24 hrs in the interest of the public.

Health / Isaac Adewole To JOHESU: Resume Or Be Declared As Having Absconded From Duty by Benite: 8:07am On May 30, 2018
Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Adewole, has directed the striking health workers to resume work immediately or be considered to have absconded from duty.

The minister gave the directive to Chief Medical Officers of all federal government owned hospitals late Monday night. This came as the leadership of JOHESU, said it would for a second time in the last 48 hours meet with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, today in efforts to resolve the protracted industrial action.

The leadership had earlier met with the Senate on Monday in a bid to resolve the current impasse that has crippled activities in government health institutions in the past 43 days.

At a briefing, JOHESU President, Biobelemoye Josiah, said: “We shall be meeting with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, again on Wednesday in continuation of our meeting with him on Monday. “JOHESU leaders are hopeful that this intervention will lead to a resolution of the strike soonest and further deliberation or discussion on all outstanding issues.”

Adewole’s riot act Meanwhile, on the resumption directive, Prof Adewole warned that anyone who failed to resume would be considered to have absconded from duty without leave, an act considered a serious misconduct in line with Public Service Rule 030413.

He insisted that everyone who participated in the strike would not be paid for the period of the strike even if the strike was called off. The minister urged chairmen of the boards of health institutions to take charge of their facilities and that any chief executive not willing to keep the services running, should be suspended and be replaced with another officer in acting capacity.

“We want you to go back and restore services in your various institutions immediately. The clinics must run, theatres must be opened. There is no reason why they should lock your theatres. No one has the right to lock up government hospitals,” the minister said.

We may resume, but… —Okara

Reacting to the minister’s directive, National Chairman, Assembly of Healthcare Professional Unions, Dr. Godswill Okara, said the health workers might be coerced to resume but that could not guarantee their commitment to duty. He said: “I am aware of the minister’s directives. We may be forced to resume duties latest by next Monday but that does not guarantee that every worker will put his heart to work and express maximum commitment to meeting the needs of the health-seeking public.

“So, the best solution to the logjam is not threat or coercion but discussions, negotiations and reconciliations. However, we hope for amicable resolution of the dispute.”

Health / JOHESU Summons Emergency Meeting Over Court Order - Guardian by Benite: 7:05am On May 26, 2018
Following an order of interim injunction compelling the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) to immediately resume duties and ostensibly considering the intervention of Senate President Bukola Saraki, the union has summoned an emergency consultation meeting of all state and zonal leaders tomorrow for tomorrow, May 27 and Monday, May 28 to deliberate on the next steps in its ongoing strike action.
JOHESU had on May 21 filed a court processes at the National Industrial Court (NIC) and the Court of Appeal, challenging the locus standi of the non-governmental organisation (NGO) that brought the matter before the NIC and the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suite.
JOHESU again called on the federal government to honour and implement the agreement it freely entered into with it on the September 30, last year for a permanent resolution of the impasse to restore normalcy and end the suffering of innocent Nigerians.
Briefing journalists on behalf of the leadership of JOHESU and Assembly of Healthcare professional Associations (AHPA), National President of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), Dr. Godswill Okara, said a court order was served on JOHESU yesterday (Friday, May 25) at 5.39pm, adding that the union has great respect and regard for the judiciary.
He said: “Following the calculated attempt to demonise JOHESU through sustained misinformation and falsehood by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International, an NGO that is neither our employer nor a party to the agreement JOHESU signed with government, JOHESU had before the receipt of this court order, filed court processes in the National Industrial Court and the Court of Appeal on May 21, challenging the locus standi of the NGO and the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suite.

Okara stated that the NGO has constituted itself into a meddlesome interloper. He said: “We have noted with dismay the persistent attempt by the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) to misinform the public through malicious fabrication of accusation and blatant lies, that JOHESU members had locked up theatres, consulting rooms and wards.  It beats imagination that the NMA will go to any ridiculous length in giving bad names to a dog in order to hang it.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.”
According to him: “The NMA wants the public to believe that hospital authorities lack the power to keep the gates and doors of our health facilities open.  Our members have conducted themselves with the highest degree of restraint and discipline in the face of provocation and double-dealing by the Federal Ministry of Health.”Okara commended the leadership of the senate for their recent intervention aimed at a fully amicable resolution to the crisis.“We also commend all men and women of good conscience who have lent their voices of reason to our struggle for justice, fairness and equity in the health sector,” he added.

Health / Group Asks Court To Jail JOHESU Officials For Failing To Suspend Strike - Punch by Benite: 10:14pm On May 23, 2018
The incorporated trustees of Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International on Wednesday made true its threat to commence contempt suit against top officials of the Joint Health Sector Union for allegedly disobeying an order of the court directing them to suspend their ongoing strike.

A contempt suit prescribes imprisonment as penalty for disobedience to a court order.
The President of the National Industrial Court, Justice Babatunde Adejumo, had in the Abuja Division of the court on May 17, 2018, granted KFHRI’s ex parte application by ordering the principal officers and representatives of JOHESU to suspend the strike within 24 hours.
The strike which commenced on April 17, 2018, paralysing health institutions across the country is now about five weeks.

KFHRI, through its lawyer, Mr. Okere Nnadmi, had on May 18, 2018, a day after the court made the allegedly flouted order, threatened to commence a contempt suit against the union’s officials if the disobedience to the said court order continued.

In making real it’s threat, the group on Wednesday applied to the National Industrial Court in Abuja, for the issuance of Forms 86 and 87, the two notices for the commencement of contempt proceedings against alleged violators of the court order.

Both the Form 86 (notice of consequence to court order) and Form 87 (notice to show cause why the violators should not be jailed) were targeted against JOHESU’s President, Mr. Josiah Biobelemoye, and the union’s vice-president, Mr. Chimele Ogbonna, representing the entire union.

The Form 86 carried a threat of likely imprisonment against Biobelemoye and Ogbonna, should they continue to disobey the court order directing them to suspend their ongoing strike.

“Take notice that unless you obey the direction contained in this order you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison,” the court paper read in part.

The Form 87 stated that KHRFI would at about 9am on June 4 or thereafter “apply for your committal to prison for having disobeyed the court order of interim injunction of this court made on May 17, 2018…"

Our attention has been drawn to news making the round that UBTH JOHESU EXCO members were involved in a road traffic accident today 19.05.2018 on their way to Auchi in Edo state.

While there was indeed a road traffic accident:
** the victims are neither UBTH JOHESU EXCO
NOR MEMBERS**

We understand the desperation of the sponsors of this false news to always seek ways to score cheap points but we are saddened by the fact that they could descend so low as seeing the pain and anguish of the accident victims as something to be celebrated to the extent of uploading the pictures of this NIGERIANS IN PAIN to the whole world.

I want to state here again that this news is not correct as no UBTH JOHESU MEMBERS were involved in any kind of accident today and we shall by the GRACE OF GOD NOT BE INVOLVED IN ANY.

We want to advise ARD/NMA members to always check their facts and avoid rushing into conclusions so as not to continue spreading falsehoods to the general public.

They could have asked questions and get correct answers before painting the social media red with this lies.

I advice the NMA to avoid wishing JOHESU MEMBERS evil as evidenced by the way they celebrated this falsehood on the social media.

WE WISH THE VICTIMS OF THIS R.T.A A VERY QUICK RECOVERY.

WE ALSO APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO PREVAIL ON THE MINISTERS OF HEALTH AND LABOUR TO QUICKLY PUT AN END TO THIS STRIKE BY DOING THE NEEDFUL.

This is very bad that UBTH JOHESU Leader will allow other unions to issue false statements on its behalf due to politics.
It is obvious that nurses dont see other members of the union as part of them and wont allow cleaners to receive equal pay with them but are demanding to receiving almost equal pay and entitlements with doctors.

Health / Re: Doctors At ISTH Irrua Respond To Mass Casualty Involving UBTH JOHESU by Benite: 9:34pm On May 19, 2018
Ochek:
Facebook Post by a JOHESu leader ISTH...

There was an accident of a group transiting to Auchi from Benin. They were rushed to our A/E at Irrua.
There were no deaths, but minor bruises and cuts. But some have mandibular distortions and other degrees of fractures that may need some days in hospital and scans to be done. But they are all stable.
We swung into action trying to call some of our nurses, and store officers and union members to go help out, we didn't really ask who they were initially, and we didn't want to argue while accident victims suffer. They are all there now helping with the treatment of the injured as it was very clear that the Doctors were helpless at a point. I have called the HOD of general stores to help with treatment items. The HOD of Pharmacy has been on ground helping with pharmaceuticals, the Nurses have arrived as their chairperson mandated and we have the situation under great control.
After putting the anxiety to rest, we decided to really find out who the victims were and found out they are cleaners in UBTH not JOHESU members as being erroneously circulated in social media against the striking unions. A call to SSA chair, UBTH confirmed they are cleaners in UBTH & all outsourced staff and belong to no union in UBTH.
Well, we are happy to relax our strike a bit for the injured and we are happy to prove that treatments are difficult without JOHESU members. We are also happy to prove that we have a largely humanitarian mindset.
That's the summary of what happened.
...........JOHESU ISTH

Shame on the so called johesu leader
Playing politics with peoples lives.
For the record no johesu member was there in A&E today to assist in treatment of their members, all interventions were carried out by doctors who declared mass casualty and informed all doctors to come to A&E whether you are on duty or not.
How can a grown up man and so called leader tell lies about what is obvious.
Despite the accident involving johesu members they still locked up everywhere, drug stores, instrument stores and went away with the keys.
Doctors had to break the lock to gain entrance to the already depleted drug stores to treat johesu members however they couldnt gain entrance to the instrument store so they had to suture with their hands, the pictures are everywhere
For your info a doctor had needle prick injury today while suturing johesu members wound with bare hands.
For your Info NTA, ITV Channels TV were at the hospital and they recorded everything.
It is very unfortunate johesu will display this wicked propaganda against their members by denying them all because of politics.
What a show of wickedness and ingratitude by johesu
