If not that Nigeria is a very stupid place, Police job is one of the top paid government jobs in developed countries, atleast in the Middle East. Do you have the slightest idea what the least police rank earns in Dubaihuh The least police rank in Dubai earns about AED35,000 which is presently equivalent to around N9-10million. So maybe you will wonder how a senior police officer in Dubai equivalent to a DSP has even two Rolls Royce’s and a Maybach.

Make una just dey play.
Anyway, na backwardness and poverty mentality dey worry some people shaaa if not…..

Moyo,Why did you allow him to video you while you and him were knacking?Na bluefilm Una dey act?
Asides from the video being consensual and intentional, there are many ladies who sees it as fun video recording their sexual acts and initimacy.

Like, it’s just some kinda wild sexual fantasy for many people. Just like most people especially ladies like being spanked hard while in the act and some love rough and aggressive sex; same way many ladies love pulling the cameras while having sex. They just keep the videos and watch it for fun and sexual stimulation when they desire it, just like any other porn, but a personal homemade porn this time grin

I unfortunately had one of such ladies in the past who loves pulling that camera stunt of recording intimacy with me which I ofcourse always serious rebuke. I pray she’ve changed her ways anyway, otherwise she is the type who falls victims of such sex video leakages when they fall into wrong hands.
PoliticsRe: Group Raises Alarm Over Billion Naira House Linked To Uzodinma’s Aide, Nwaneri by Beniyke1:
If not that we all have a problem in this country which is corruption which has eaten so deep into us, and also the fact that most of us are very criminally minded even from birth that we don’t even see any evil in some things anymore. How can someone painstakingly investigate and come up with such weighty claims and allegations which am sure he is ready to prove cos he’s got his facts and possible evidences; and all people could do here is arguing about the house being worth a billion or not. Like a grown-ass man like you couldn’t even say any other thing or make any input other than arguing that the house is not N1b. You don go there beforehuh

Ok! Let’s even say he exaggerated the cost of the building, then so what if it’s actually worth N100m and not the said N1billion. So we shouldn’t talk because the house is 50million and not N1b? A property worth over N50m owned by Someone who probably doesn’t have any other job other than being a stvpid aide to one ineffectual and equally corrupt politician in power.

When I keep saying everyday that kids have invaded this forum it keep sounding like mere rants.

It’s just surprising how this once great forum of years back has suddenly gone to the dogs. You recently come to wonder if there are still existence of moderators like it used to be in the past, especially on this particular politics section.

Just like someone rightly said, “it’s surprising how a simple thread that could have elicited rational debate on governance was automatically converted to tribalism because of debased minds litters in this forum.”

Suddenly every dissenting voice that speaks up against bad government or tries to hold the government accountable is termed an Igbo out of all the tribes and ethnic groups in this country. Quite pitiable this is the level we’ve descended into. One deluded fellow from no where immediately started arguing about a certain ‘Ben’ and Christianity/Islam in Bauchi. Next he started posting pictures from wherever to argue that there are also slumps and dirty undeveloped streets in USA🤦🏾‍♂️So because there are also slumps and underdeveloped areas in US we shouldn’t hold our government accountable for their failures? Like for real? This is the only areas you hear/see them comparing. You won’t ever hear them compare with others in development, rather you will only see them comparing in areas of backwardness. Seriously some humans are just so despicable.

Gosh! How did we get to this level.

TravelRe: Remilekun Toyosi: Family Demands Justice Over Death Of Nigerian Aboard Egyptair by Beniyke1:
Luckysbab:
So why were they avoiding communications when the family reached out to them? Is that how they would have handled it if she were American?
first of all, let’s leave all these “…if she was an American, if she was British” everything is not about that please.

Emotions and sentiments aside; from the statements of the airline and even the family, I think due process and protocol was followed here, atleast reasonably. You have to understand how such emergency cases works, especially when it involves casualties resulting in death it becomes more complicated and everyone is trying to be careful to avoid more complexities. The family for example can’t be bombarding the airline with calls, probably calling the call center and customer service who might not even have known about the incident nor have been briefed about it. Even if they might have known about the incident they clearly might not be authorized to speak on it for obvious reasons, and to avoid further complications especially when the matter is already between the aviation police, the immigration and the embassy. We have lots of such situations even here in Nigeria.

With the process and protocol already in existence, all the family have to do is to liaise with the embassy to investigate the situation leading to death, carry out an autopsy and work towards repatriation of the corpse. That’s all. Having reported to the aviation police and immigration at arrival, down to the embassy, the airline has done and cleared its part. Meanwhile from the account of the airline the lady got ill after her arrival at Cairo while waiting for her outbound flight to London, and died when attempts were being made to get her full medical attention. Not as if she actually died in the flight. Let’s also try to understand the circumstances around an incident before some kinda judgement.

Let’s leave all these “…Arabs are wicked; EGYPTAIR should be banned; if she was an American” and all that. Nigerians we too get victim mentality abeg. We too sabi rant and complain without properly understanding and analyzing a situation critically.
TravelRe: Remilekun Toyosi: Family Demands Justice Over Death Of Nigerian Aboard Egyptair by Beniyke1:
Am I the only one here who seem not to actually understand the Justice they are seeking for?🤷🏾‍♂️ Na EGYPTAIR kill am? Instead of carrying out an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death then make arrangements to repatriate the corpse back home for burial they are seeking for Justice where there clearly seem to be no wrong.

The only question to ask here is why was the family not contacted first. Then again, did she fully provide adequate ‘Emergency Contact’ details as required for all ticket reservation and itinerary. To the best of my knowledge most Nigerians don’t! -just like Passenger Manifests on road transport services- Many will outrightly refuse to fill, while others will reluctantly fill in non existent numbers. I have seen it severally in the aviation industry as well. Also most travel agencies and ticketing agents don’t even bother to ask their customers for proper emergency contact details. They just fill in obscure details there.

For the airline to have contacted the consulate which is the next line of action shows that they’ve first tried contacting her emergency contacts. Infact from my experience in the aviation industry, the first thing the airline does in this situation is involving the aviation police and immigration services and handing over all the passenger details available. It is now the duty of the police to contact her family depending on the nature of the emergency, and in the case where the family could not be reached the next step is contacting the embassy which is clearly the case here. There is no way the embassy would’ve been contacted without attempts to contact her family first.

So, based on the communication with the consulate her body was deposited somewhere pending when the consulate is able to contact and locate her family for arrangements on the repatriation of the corpse.

What Justice are they seeking here please?🤷🏾‍♂️
I also don’t even understand the insults, bashing and dragging of EGYPTAIR and even Egypt government here🤦🏾‍♂️

TravelRe: London-bound Nigerian Passenger Dies Aboard Egypt Air, Corpse ‘dumped In Cairo' by Beniyke1:
yewit37486:
In my opinion, the expectation is that they should follow whatever laid out process they have. Every airline has processes defined for different scenarios.
the first laid down process or action here is contacting her ‘Emergency Contacts’ that is if she filled in or submitted any and if the contacts she submitted is even valid or exists. You can trust Nigerians on that. They don’t ever like filling in Passenger Manifests or Emergency Contact Details. Many will outrightly refuse to fill while others will reluctantly fill in non existent numbers. I have seen it severally in the aviation industry as well.

So for the airline to have contacted the Consulate which is the next line of action and infact the next point of call shows that they’ve first tried reaching out to her emergency contacts. So based on the communication with the Consulate her body must have been deposited somewhere pending when the consulate is able to contact and locate her family. The airline can’t carry her body to London.

The headline of the news or post is very wrong and misleading using that word ‘dumped’

Good development!
Although this, just like Innoson can not be called manufacturing, instead they are called assembly plants. The major parts and components like engine, interior and electrical and electronics hardware are imported from China. I know some people will say there is no 100% manufacturer of vehicle as parts are sourced, but let the sourcing be within Nigeria, then we can say this is "Nigeria Made"
Indians and South American countries like Brazil that makes Macopolo are a good example.
Anyway, Kudos to the business men and women that make Nigeria proud.

Abeg, let this not be reduced to tribal bigotry and hatred. If you have to criticise then be constructive.

PEACE!
Good enough you already responded yourself by yourself🤷🏾‍♂️ So there is actually no need adding much to that. Manufacturing is manufacturing, though anyone can decide to call it whatever they wish, assembling or whatever. Even the almighty iPhones owned by Apple, California is manufactured and assembled in China as clearly and undeniably shown on all their products. Does it change the fact that iPhones and Apple is an American product and company respectively. Why don’t you say U.S don’t manufacture or own iPhones because they are manufactured and assembled in China.

So it simply means that innoson or whoever can even manufacture or assemble his cars or whatever product completely in china and bring them into Nigeria. As long as it’s his brand then it’s a Nigerian company and product. So we should rather encourage him and be proud of him that he is doing it all here and creating jobs and paying taxes to the government even if it’s mere assembling as you all call it.

Meanwhile Airbus an American aircraft manufacturer has most of its aircraft engines manufactured by Rolls Royce. Most of the Airbus A380 engines are manufactured by Rolls Royce a British company. So it’s nothing if Innoson a Nigerian local car manufacturer source it’s engines from China and assemble them in Nigeria.

Even if it is, or could be; have you ever asked yourself why all your billionaires, the dangotes, Otedolas and lot others of their class don’t permanently live abroad in these wonderfully developed countries where they have expensive house, mansions, penthouses and even estates, but rather go on visits and vacation there.

Simply because people will hardly notice you with your affluence and expensive cars. It’s almost a classless society and These people can’t survive there. Have you seen Atikus estates in Dubai? Why is he not living in the almighty Dubai? Because no one will notice him even with a limo Rolls Royce Cullinan; no alamajiri to line up at his gate to beg for food. Same as lot others of his class. Use your brain bro.

Only in Nairaland you will see people who’ve lived all their lives in, and only around the South-West from birth to adulthood -from Osun to Ibadan, Ogun, Ondo and back to Lagos- come to Nairaland shouting ‘Lagos this!’ ‘Lagos that!’ ‘Our Lagos!’ and all that.

When you come to think about it sometimes you really see that these people actually think others live on trees and bushes in the different states they come from. Seriously

Who takes train to Abuja airport?

Why leave my house and take an Über to the train station, then take a train to the airport when I can take the Über straight to the airport?

Why will I arrive from Lagos or overseas and start boarding train to a station, only to start looking for another vehicle to take me to my destination, when I can take a car straight there?
These people in government don't know how to source for data to use in developing infrastructure.

To please the people, first find out what the people want.
Nigerians and some kinda reasoning shaaa. First of all lots of people will take the trains to the airport if it’s functional.

The metro red line in Dubai runs through and connects the Arrivals and Departures of the three terminals of the airport, and thousands of people make use of it while traveling and when back from their travels.

For instance, If Uber from your house to the airport costs you N5,000 and same Uber from your house to the nearest metro station costs you N500, then a metro ticket from there to the Departures Terminal of the airport costs you around N200, making a total of N700, tell me why you won’t take the metro please.

People here take their cars to the metro stations in the morning, park it somewhere and take the train to work; then back with the trains in the evening, pick up their cars and go home. That’s an organized and functional society. Keeps the city less congested.
