So proud of LP
They took the nation by 'storm' and won 1 state. grin

What a great party.
What an achievement.

LP is very peace-loving. They avoided Anambra where Soludo beat them silly.
Was there a gubernatorial election at anambra state?

Why haven't Festus keyamo sent DSS to arrest Atiku that directly called Tinubu a drug baron on live TV?
Are they afraid of atiku?
Bayo ononuga has made 3 inflammatory tweets that portray outright bigotry and the DSS or police remain silent!
They should send DSS to either pick up or arrest either Obi or Datti!
Let's see if we will still have one Nigeria again!
Nonsense! Smh!

Where in the post did the poster mentioned the region
Its either you are new on nairaland or you don't understand that when someone highlights certain names from a particular region, they are simply doing ethnic profiling!
If you cannot see it,they you are no different from what the OP is trying to portray!
Politics › Re: After Telling Obi To Go To Court, See What Tinubu's Aide Said About The Petition by bentenny(m): 2:11pm On Mar 23, 2023
Bayo Ononuga is a seasoned journalist and knows what he is doing by releasing this benighted and inflammatory tweet!
Unfortunately, he will likely set the country on fire with these continuous ethnic baiting that keeps evading the attention of security operatives!

Back to his insensitive and mindless tweet...Bayo must be reminded that there is a world of difference between the legendary MKO abiola and a Tinubu!

They are miles apart in terms of competence, character and compassion!
Tinubu will never measure up to the standards set by MKO even if he tries to!

The only similarity they share is the Muslim Muslim ticket....aside that, there is absolute nothing!

Bayo should be reminded in case he has joined Tinubu in being stricken by dementia that despite floating an all Muslim ticket,MKO through SDP had a landslide victory from all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria!

Even when Bashir Tofa of NRC tried fruitlessly to attract the votes of the SE region by choosing one of their own from an igbo extraction,Sylvester Ugoh, governor of the now defunct central bank of Biafra,Igbos still voted overwhelmingly for MKO Abiola!
Can Bayo say the same thing about Tinubu whose election results and victory have been tainted by manipulation of results and widespread violence?

Bayo is simply playing a political game using ethnic baiting and I hope Nigerians esp in the SW are wise enough to decipher!
Politics › Re: When The Victory Celebration Of A Single State Is Ten Times The Entire Nation by bentenny(m): 1:14pm On Mar 23, 2023
burp18:
Peter Obi won 10 states in the presidential but managed to win 1 state in the gubernatorial elections. What this means is that he rigged in the presidential election. Where are all those people that voted LP during the presidential election?
Guber elections are different from presidential elections!
Guber elections are local!

Secondly, the presidential election was unique because people voted for the personality and not the party!

Even the PDP governor elect before the Guber elections said even most of the PDP members resolved to vote for LP because of Obi!
Just because Obi won those states doesn't translate into winning those states esp when those candidates are relatively unknown and are trying to ride on the popularity of Obi!

Its also hasty to be making such conclusion esp when most of the victories in those states are questionable with opposition promising to challenge such!

Lastly,we cannot also overlook the fact that there was widespread voters suppression, voter apathy, stealing of ballot boxes in areas of an opposition, changing figures at collation centres, kill and maiming of voters etc which also affected the outcome of the election!

Let me make one thing clear to you,if another general elections were to be held again in the SE in a free and fair atmosphere with the current INEC chairman replaced,LP will get close to 95% in SE!

Are they the only region peddling drugs?
Will such countries tag them based on the region of the country where they come out from?
Have you ever heard any news from the US saying this criminal from Texas or from California?
A Nigerian is a Nigerian no matter the region and every part of this country commit crimes whether inwardly or outside the shores of the country!
Singling out a particular region for condemnation is benighted!

Shutop! Tell your crime loving Igbo folks to stop committing crime, it is getting out of hand.
I wish Igbos could be ostracized from Nigeria, they are giving all of us bad names with their love for crime.
Yes other tribes commit crime but 99% of Igbos love and celebrate criminal and this explains why Igbo Society is a society if criminals.
There are other Africans overseas but why are Nigerians perceived as criminals if not for your criminally minded brothers.
I swear to God I am tired of you criminals. I have Igbo friends and have always been with them but truth be told, an average Igbo person is a criminal, they believe they are very smart and can outsmart everyone.
They should have used that their smartness to develop Igbo land so that the whole world will envy them but the opposite is the case.
Ok Sir

Crime › Re: Nigerian Man And His Girlfriend Arrested With Drugs In South Africa by bentenny(m):
Obviously the Op who brought this news with the highlighting of certain names and the Mod that mischievously pushed it to FP without minding the consequences had an ulterior motive to demonize a certain region that they hate!

OP and the mod must be reminded that other countries do not see Nigeria from their bias lens of ethnicity or based on regions!

Ofcourse, the crime committed is unfortunate, condemnable and a recurring stain on the image of Nigeria by a nigerian...however,singling out a particular region when there are other regions in nigeria who also commit similar acts of criminality both inwardly and outside the country is even worse considering the fact that the one who created the thread and the one who moved it to front page are educated but empty!

Criminality knows no region or an ethnic group or religion.... Anyone whether Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa or Niger delta or efik or whatever tribe can be caught doing something wrong outside the country and will be labelled as a NIGERIAN!

Seun should take note and caution his mods about these consistently intentional, jejune and ridiculous acts or his recent apology to a certain region will just be seen a mere face saving!
Politics › Re: No Healing Without Justice — Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Replies Tinubu by bentenny(m): 9:48am On Mar 23, 2023
Very True!
When justice is denied, impunity persists ad infinitum!
The victims or their family members need to see the perpetrators meted severe punishment for their despicable deeds and not mere rhetorics of healing process which implies calling all the sociopolitical groups to a dinner and pose on camera with smiling faces while the real victims watch in anguish!

Stop saying what you don't know!
If an outage takes place in developed countries without any reasonable excuse or cause, someone is either losing their job or resigning!
Here,we are so used to the ugly norms hence impunity is acceptable!

In a sane environment where the judiciary is devoid of controversy and corruption,a group of competent lawyers and some tech guys can get enough information and prove why there should be a nullification of both the presidential and gubernatorial elections!
The manipulation of results nationwide is so glaring!

I always knew the drug case will catch everyone's attention including that of urchins!
The drug case is simply a mere distraction by Obi lawyers!
The evidence of nationwide rigging and the fact that inec did not even follow their own laid down regulations which is an extension of the amended electoral laws including the outright refusal of inec to permit Obi lawyers and tech experts to inspect the BVAS materials despite a court order is one of the main prayers of the petitioners(Obi)

U are are the funniest human on earth. Ur gas that powers ur electricity comes from south east. The communities in south south, some of them are pure Igbos and oil is gotten from them, in the so called south east, u have Abia, Imo and Anambra and they generate cash for the entire country.

Did u get that?
Also, join us as we demand for Nigeria to breakup, this way, u can manage the Ondo resources very well and allow others manage theirs.
The case of Nigeria is like eating ur cake and wanting it back.
U run a unitary system of govt where the entire FG structures are in Abuja and Lagos including all the HQ of firms who take tax from the rest of Nigerians and u dont want people to migrate to the commercial hub and participate in politics, bro, talk true, e make sense? Let reason, does it make sense?

The solution to all of these is simply breakup or run a regional based system and allow regions manage their resources.
This way, since south east, according to u doesnt contribute anything, Hunger will kill them na. You people should be championing this break up more since you people are so rich. I wonder why u want others to eat from ur wealth. bro, join us and demand for Nigeria to stop the current system.
True!
Three option available...
1. regionalize the country like the 60s
2. Practice true federalism by taking out everything from the exclusive list to the concurrent list
Last option which is not really needed
3. Break up the country
Politics › Re: Tinubu: Time For Politicking Is Over — We Must Begin The Healing Process by bentenny(m):
Amazing!

How thoughtful that this is coming at a time when the 'two targets' have been achieved and acquired though temporarily!

You used the same armoury you are currently condemning on your opponents just to become president and once the aim has been acquired, you then ask for a healing process?
Just like the Nazi general that pulled feathers from a live chicken and left it to run away only for the poor bloody and featherless animal to show up when the wicked general gave it food to eat!

You sent your spokesmen to brutalize your perceived adversaries with ethnic slurs and needless propaganda online while you arranged your army of thugs to do what they know best...destroy and kill anyone in your way while 'grabbing power' by any means necessary to rule the same people you had previously demonized!

Now you are now seeking for peace and healing after achieving your purpose.... grin
Same play,same aim,same pattern every 4 years!
Most Nigerians are poor historians!

Like someone rightly said,'they use ethnicity to divide us during election but still want to rule everyone afterwards!

There can never be a healing process without justice or the dead and the victims of those heinous acts will never rest or find closure!

Politics › Re: You Rigged 2023 Election, Not Tinubu – Asari Dokubo Knocks Peter Obi by bentenny(m): 3:31pm On Mar 21, 2023
What an irony!
Did Obi also rig in abuja?
Did he rig in nassarawa and plateau state that are 'structurally' controlled by APC?
So Obi rigged in SE states that are controlled by APC and PDP states?
One thing is certain,if indeed elections were actually free and fair, the likes of APC and PDP would have been struggling for 3rd and 4th position!
If presidential elections were held in SE again,LP would surpass their previous scores in the last election!
Well,Asari isn't different from the likes of Reno or FFK who speak with disconnected brains and appeal to only urchins!

You are not suspending logic for one of your finest sons. You are not putting your heart over your head for someone who summons emotions of pride in you. You are doing it for Bola Tinubu. Bola Tinubu. Because, make no mistake about it, this is hardly about Sanwo-Olu returning as governor of Lagos. It is about ensuring the survival of the patronage network, the layers of thuggery, the political ‘structure’ and the troughs from which the various snouts feed from in Lagos and which all combine to ensure that any kind of transformative development of Lagos is simply impossible.
Years of delicately balanced ethnic relations. Years of intermarriage and friendships. Years of trading and doing business together. Years of building up Lagos into an economic juggernaut with the help of friends from all across the country, beyond what the state might hope to be running on its own strength alone. Years of raising capital from Igbos and so many other ‘non-Lagosians’.
You sold all this childishly and so very cheaply. You were willing to throw all this away and burn it all down for Bola Tinubu. Bola Tinubu. Igbos are not some random outsiders or nobodies. They are deeply embedded in the fabric of Nigeria and punch far above their economic weight in Lagos. You turned their identity into a slur and in doing so there was no line you were not willing to cross. For Bola Tinubu.
Even going as far as to downgrade the status of Lagos as an economic powerhouse and declare that its just like any other state in Nigeria with none of its advantages or the things that make it a magnet for people from across Nigeria. For Bola Tinubu. What manner of victory have you won?The ability to use Lagos as some kind of example for Nigeria, this you threw away for the man who, more than any other, has debased Yoruba traditions without a care in the world?
Deep! Thought provoking!
