Not as young as you think brother.

Three decades is young?
Not young then. Marriage scares me too and I'm over three decade.. I feel I can't put up with a woman at home for a long time.

That makes no difference. It is democracy and the law allows for anyone to vote anywhere for any candidate. Those arent threats. I am wondering why people who slaughter ur people arent a threat. It is people who make online noise. How? How? Both Igbos and Yorubas throw shades online but never for decades have u heard igbos and yorubas fight in real life. That should tell u a lot. U all are wasting ur energy on something irrelevant while those who are determined to take over ur communities continue their havok, u dey dey fight online banters and people saying they want to vote for a particular party in a democracy. In a democracy, where u reside and pay tax, u hold such leader accountable. In the US, if I reside in New York, and from another state, I will hold New York leaders accountable becus that is where I pay tax grin
U all want to develop like US but never ready to practise the democracy how the US does it
A population of about 50 million are being controlled and commanded by a 38 years old man who lives in luxury in Finland to sit at home every Monday yet no one questions him everyone obeys, that one no concern you na past events that happens in other region una carry for head.

You HATE a state so much and you gloat whenever any negative news emerge from the state, those who migrate to a developed state or country and their pay taxes in those developed countries don't label the place a no man's land or celebrate any bad news about the state.

And Is it forbidden if the development starts from your side? Or is it forbidden for you to allow non indigene of your state to hold any position in your state/region.

You are demanding for what you can't give as if you even practice what you preached. When it suits you mention the US and when it's time to practice what you preach you give excuses.

Bianca whose husband image is what APGA have been using to hold onto the governorship in Anambra for over decade was prevented from contesting in the same Anambra just a senatorial seat. Yet you are quick to quote what's obtainable in in the US

Those arent issue, they are mere say. U never ask people who are slaughtering ur villagers, raping them and chasing them out of their lands and destroying their farm lands, u never prove to them who owns the land, na people wey dey brag online be ur headache? Hahahaaha, an average black man shaa no get calculation shaa.
All the bragging some of these people made online, some of them arent even based in lagos, did any of them carry out any attack on any Yoruba person? Have u heard that Igbos and Yorubas ever fought anywhere or had misunderstanding ever before? But one countless times, Hausas have fought yorubas right inside yoruba lands and destroyed and killed yorubas, u never asked them to leave or prove to them who own Yoruba lands, na noise makers be ur headache? Fulani herdsmen are doing more deadly stuff but na one Okafo who bragged online be ur headache. No wonder the black race is backward. Always chasing shadows grin
You don change topic.
There's nothing like online bant it's reality. People in Abia were holding stakeholders meeting about the Lagos governorship election. Lagos LP Twitter page being run from Nnewi.

And why should criticism about good governance be limited to Lagos State only by people from the east? Why the obsession with one state out of 36 state. Why make excuses for your leaders poor performance back home but hold the Lagos State government to a very high standard?
85% of Nigeria's total population live outside Lagos State. Those States have governors who collect monthly allocation from the FG and tax the residents living their, some of them even collect 13% derivative accrued from oil and yet have nothing to show for it but when they commit infractions you makes excuses for them.

Oga, to fix all these, let Nigeria stop running unitary system of govt. For instance, u want to move national assets like CBN which is funded with all tax payers money to Lagos which would add up revenue generated by Lagos state. Then tomorrow, u want non Yorubas out of Lagos and u want them not to vote any candidate of their choice? Can u all sit down and talk senses to una heads?
The best thing is try as much as possible to decentralize Nigeria so that every region will be free from lagos, so that the general tax of Nigerians wont be going to lagos again rather the tax of yoruabs can be in lagos. This way, no body go follow u drag lagos. And as long as Nigeria runs a centralized system, people will always call BAT name or whoever is in power.
Even America that does not run a unitry system of govt, her citizens are constantly abusing their president even though their president has sense more than all Nigerian leaders.
Nobody wants non Yoruba out of Lagos except for those who have chosen to call their host land a no man's land and tagged them dirty and lazy. And whose secret plan is to upstage their host because they covet the state, those set of people deserve to be told about who owns the state.

Have the Hausas the other major tribe in the country complained about being chased out of Lagos or any other ethnic groups complained?

And why should criticism about good governance be limited to Lagos State only by people from the east? Why the obsession with one state out of 36 state. Why make excuses for your leaders poor performance back home but hold the Lagos State government to a very high standard?

I am 6'3 in height and I am 19 yrs of age. I usually feel too tall when I walk around my age mates and what makes me feel insecure the most is when people start saying that I am long.

Tall people out there, how do you survive? I also hate it when people stare at my height when I am walking in the street because I am the kind of person that likes being conspicuous and unseen.

At times I just wish I wasn't so tall, so I would like to know at what age does one stop growing in height?
Lol I understand how you feel, you will get over to that feeling as you age, at 6'3 I used to feel that way too in my early 20s I was very tall and lanky. You will always be seen and noticed wherever you find yourself and some people will always want to mock you or make silly remarks about your height.
But as you grow older you will begin to appreciate yourself and feel more confident.

Before Lagos state would demolish structures, they should first demolish their archaic systems that are not working.

Go to office of the State Surveyor General, they’re still sorting their files manually.

They’ll give you tracking numbers that you can’t track from the comfort of your house without meeting or interfacing government officials.

The last time I went to track a file, I was told that the fire incident that happened in the OSSG office affected them hence the reason they’re sorting millions of records manually.

I ask if they haven’t digitize their records in 2023 and if they don’t know what they call backup in this age and time.

Attached below is how it’s done in a sane society. They make land information easily accessible to their citizens to prevent people from building on committed lands.

But here, govt deliberately keep the records away from the people. Instead of fighting tooth and nail to fix those systems that are not working, they’re celebrating their mediocrity on the social media.
It’s even more worrisome that the educated and those who have lived in sane societies find it so comfortable to cuddle up this mediocrity than to question it.

Lagos the biggest economy in Africa still sorting their land records manually in 2023 - SHAME!

Is this how difficult it is to obtain land information ion developed societies?

The energy they exert on social media to throw tantrums like overgrown babies should be spent in their offices building systems to prevent this issues from reoccurring.

But then, you can’t give what you don’t have!

Mediocres and opportunists in power
Chinedu is coming don't worry.

Guyman01:
Philip is a good politician but his problem is that Obaseki wants power to rotate along tribal/Senatorial Zones bases just like in Delta, Enugu, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Abia States unlike in Benue and Kogi states where Tiv and Igala sees the office of the governor as a birthright until Ebira decided to collect it by force using mass rigging as per Kogi state.

Power rotation brings calm and tranquility in the states practicing it, during election everyone in the mentioned states knows the zone to produce the governor and all the major parties will feature only candidates from that zone.

Yes Philip Shaibu has every constitutional right to contest but Obaseki also has valid reasons for not supporting him
And what has been the output of zoning in those states? Has it led to massive development? Meanwhile as regards the igala and Tiv domination they hold the key because they are the majority and they have the voting numbers.

Ogun state would have been richer than Lagos but they lack visionary leaders. Investors come to them uninvited, to build and invest in their state yet, they're doing nothing to enhance this opportunity. Most of these industries were in place as a result of individual efforts. Why is Mr governor not hosting economic summit both home and abroad to woo investors? They leave all to the FG to handle. I won't stop talking about kogi state especially, lokoja where bello had performed woefully. I guess one of the mods on nairaland is related to bello cos each time I mentioned his name, I received a ban. This is one of the psycophants who hate the truth. I'd never keep quiet over this because kogi has the potentials of being one of the prosperous states in Nigeria, given its tourist endowment.

If I were the governor, I'd have collaborated with private investors and built a power plant in the various industrial zones. Industries and housing estates springing up would have just been paying for consumption, without even considering hooking up to the national grid.

I'd have also constructed standard highways that would connect places. Lagos-ota-abeokuta expressway is an eyesore. The governor really messed up big time. All of them just want to steal as much as they can and leave. No visionary leaders among our governors. They keep saying wike is building roads but they don't know good roads bring about development. Anyone in doubt should go to alimosho and see wonders of ambode on road construction. As soon as those roads were completed, land appreciated from 14m naira to 27m naira a plot. Today, it has risen to 42m naira with begging sef. Malls, schools and estates too have sprung up. Most of our governors spend the loans they collected on elephant projects, parts of which they'd massively embezzle. Some would be left half done while others would be abandoned and they'd share the money and leave the loan for their successors to service. The masses are always at the receiving end. We'd be wise someday.

I know the road I mentioned above is a federal road but for the sake of the development of Ogun and ease of transportation, the governor should have done the rehabilitation work and passed the bill to the federal government. Wike did this, ambode and Fashola also did this and they were reimbursed by the FG.

I hope someday, Nigerians would begin to hold leaders accountable and chase them off their positions if they live below expectations. We're mainly psycophants rather than hold them to account. We're an obsequious people and that's why we've found ourselves in this terrible situation where our youths who are supposed to develop Nigeria are leaving in droves . Same leaders caused the mess and we are still praising them. Their juju still dey work because we allowed it to.
Very good, this is constructive criticism this is more like it and not those who criticize everything and anything based on jealousy.

How many of these industries are owned by Ogun indigenes so that we can know what group economics is

Like Anambra 95% of industrial activities there are owned by Anambra folks making the money stay in the state

But in Ogun there is what is called capital flight! Investors pay indigenous folks peanuts ,declare anything as profit then oay paltry tax and repatriate the rest money back to home

So once again how many Ogun people owns industry in Ogun state or are they just workers ?
