An eye opener, I would have used my previous admission. Instead, I had to wait for a new one..Anyway, u still have to get a new one for winter. I hope u av re-applied or differed. What if the deadline to re-apply is passed?

I thank God for His mercies. I finally got TRV at 3rd attempt in one year.

First Application April 2015 via online but Refused May 2015

Second Application June 2015 online Refused July 2015

3rd Application September 2015 online TRV November 2015.

Reasons for refusal were insufficient funds. I Was working with the proof of funds requirement on CIC website. My admission was for fall 2015.

I did not submit SOP nor police check in any of the applications.

Did u use fall admission Letter of acceptance for your 3rd application when u applied by september? Congrats!

It's really not funny o. My wife just delivered in the state(United state) so I hv to travel. However, I was given 30days to complete my medical. Called a centre in chicago but the fee is high. It about $400. What do u think?

I have read situations here where they gave 30days and didn't even wait for 14days to be over before refusing sb..Some medical call carry diff periods bt I like to go with the lowest which is 14days. If its possible to do it there, then why not? $400 is the price u have to pay then pay it bt if u wanna wait till 9th dec, its still fine. Bt be ready for any outcome.

1st application -May 2015 denied in July,2015 on grounds of insufficient funds,personal assests and purpose of study.
2nd application- 17th Aug, biometrics 21st Aug, Medical mail 2 Nov. Medical passed and pp request 11th Nov, submitted 13th, approval and pick up 18th Nov.

How come you earlier said your two sisters got medical b4 you and later got Trv without medicals. Or they didnt submit medicals when they were called and yet they got? Please enlighten us.

From what I understood after I asked him was that the sisters did medicals bt didn't get an medical update passed...I will still stand by the fact that a medical is required to get TRV for more than 6 months stay becos that's CIC procedure. Anything short of that is error and shouldn't be expected. That a minute percent got in without it means its not a norm. So rather than peeps expecting miracles, they shud expect the worst and if u happen to sail, then fine and nice. But never bank on it.

This ur case ehn..U knew u wud travel why complicate things for ursef? U need to confirm if doing medicals away from ur country of residence will be accepted. Maybe we can learn something from ur case..Try to visit the Frequently asked questions(faq) and answers section on CIC site, ur answer might be there. Medical has abt 14days period within which it must be done, so waiting to come back on the 9th dec is not an option.

It might be difficult convincing the VO abt returning to the country when u r going to study a course like this necessary for practise in Canada. Those in the health sector should give an input to this...Its late to re-apply for winter tho bt if u can submit by weekend who knows, u might resume late...Bt u must tackle the reasons highlighted..

Wow, this professor is a very nice person. That he/she took the time to read your SOP and nicely offer suggestions on how to improve it is a sign that he/she would likely be a very patient and kind advisor to work with.

Also, based on my reading of the email, the professor is still interested in funding you but doesn't want to over-promise and under-deliver (this is very normal in North American culture). He/she wants you to understand that you need to have your own funds for living expenses so that you can get a visa. But if you read the email closely, the professor is implicitly saying he/she would do his/her best to pay you a stipend should his/her grant application be successful.

I would recommend you make the recommended changes to the SOP and apply sharp sharp. Also, do respond to the professor thanking him/her for the email, and reiterating your interest in working with him/her. Do tell him/her that you will be able to show proof of funds to the embassy but that obtaining funding from him/her (or the department) would go a long way in enabling you to attend and contribute maximally to their program. Gbam!

But also try to get funding from another school in case this one doesn't pan out. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Seconded!!! He should hold that Professor tight.. And do just what you have said here..Even with scholarship grant, it is imperative to show that you can support your self because at some stage in the program the grant might not be forth coming depending on situation unforseen. @JLakeside Pray for this Prof and dot miss this opportunity...

See question...100%. Why u may be experiencing some delays maybe due to dispatch..There are fewer pple applying for visa these days. So they might tend to wait some more so as to request some more passports and issue visas. So be rest assured..

To God be the glory. My wife was refused second time after medical passed. Applied on Sep 14th, medical passed Oct 24 and refused 15th November.
Paid half school fees. One year study with 7.2million. My pop is the sponsor with proterties document since we are married with her name changed to mine.Only purpose of visit was ticked during the first application which we try to make a good SOP for the the 2nd application. Travel history, purpose of visit and personal assets with financial status was ticked for this second application. Writing the school to refund my money. Thank you all for the advice . cheers.

I already answered that..Wait till 20th,u shud get the dispatched date changed and an email to notify u to pickup ur documents..If u don't by this time, give VFS a call.. There are helplines on their site. Same site u used when tracking. They will confirm to you if ur documents have truly arrived there. Don't go to lekki if u av not been told to come and pickup, most likely it has not reached there..

U didn't do medical..That's a sure way to know...So its a denial..In the next 2 weeks, you will get over it. Try to be calm and don't be emotional disturbed..You can give it another shot after calming down. Peace!!!

If that's the first time u are seeing that, then it means ur document has just left accra..Give it another 5 working days to see if it changess to another date plus u receive a mail for pickup at Lagos office

Contact various profs and assistant profs with similar area of interests..Look at other schools too.. Don't put all ur eggs in 1 basket.. You are a first Class Student, use that to ur advantage!

Hello God is at work my sister got her visa today without medical mail, no upfront medical with virgin passport. The only mail gotten is ur document has been dispatched thinking she was denied but God did it am having hope on my God show ur self. Pls did it mean she will do medical when she get to canada.

This is a typical case of human error. There was probably a mix-up somewhere. I hope this doesn't become an issue at POE later on. While u celebrate and thank God, the VO could lose his job here. So my guy,until u set ur feet on canadian soil before u can be rest assured..
U better start ur prayer and fasting now..lol

Ur establishment needs to show their letter stating their support and also their bank statement showing that they have more than enuf funds. Are u a graduate going for an undergraduate course?

I have a huge problem at hand.
I applied for the student visa and did the biometrics.
We applied through the online route
While we were trying to track the application on the cic portal we couldn't log in. My dad said he might have forgotten the password.
But after the biometrics, VFS sent me an email with the tracking number and there website.
Is this enough to track the entire application?
Would I be contacted for both medicals or passport through the CIC portal or through email?
What I'm saying is that can my application still go on as normal without being able to log into CIC but with the tracking number. Thank you house.

No u will not be able to check for updates even after u receive a mail of such becos u don't av the password, hence u won't be able to successfully track what's going on.

My advice will be for u to try to retrieve ur password via the security questions u wrote and answered ursef. Tracking via VFS won't update u about changes..

This ur question get as e be..Pls structure it well. Is the company sponsoring u by way of a scholarship letter stating what they will pay or presenting a bank statement showing that?

Did ur sponsor transfer the said sum to you or it is just what will be written on ur SOP after presenting his bank statement..

Do you have a ersonal statement of account showing u have the said sum?

See all the possibility of questions u generated. Please try and breakdown ur questions well so u can get prompt answers. I intentionally ignored it all the while..
