Though both Educational, my thought is Masters in leadership from reputable institution like Memorial will give me an edge in getting a better job on return to Nigeria o. I didn't meet their requirement for PhD as I got GPA of 3.6 against the 4.0 they require. Is it really wrong to have 2 Masters degrees, though similar but managing and leading are two different things na IMO.

Not wrong to av 2 masterss my dear. Bt in a country where priveleges are abused. U get stringent rules. A proper advice would av been for u to leave out the masters when applying, bt u av applied already..nothing can be done in dat regard again cos they av ur file...

Berex01, thanks once again, so how do you think I should handle this now. To me those 2 courses are thesame..managerial is leadership. Atleast that's how I view it. Your CGPA form naija is 3.6/5? Have u tried evaluating it to Canadian standard? It could be close to 4 if not 4.Plus u cud look at other schools that offer the course, write a good SOP and get an offer.Concerning personal assets, did u submit ur SOA, and property the last time? How much was in ur SOA if u submitted.

Thanks Berex01, I completed a Masters program in Educational Management in 2011, I am going for Educational Leadership now. (same masters). Do you think the fact that I had Masters before, it is now affecting my application? I actually attached my letter of employment then. But I think it was not clear because I had to squeeze in most of the documents. I am using paper route this time to avoid such errors.

Ofcourse ur previous masters in thesame field is affecting ur application now cos the VO would find it hard to understand why u aren't going for a progression from masters to phd and wud tink u are just using the admission to immigrate. With that sorted and everyother loophole closed, u should get ur Visa this time..

I just got a mail from a lawyer friend in Canada, regarding the call for my file. The main queries from CIC are: I completed a course in 2011, why do I want to continue now?, they are not convinced my 3 sponsors will help me financially as stated, my statements of account was not clear enough and that my current appointment letter wasn't included in my application.

Please how do I go about responding to all the queries, especially the first, I have spoken to my sponsors to pay part of what they promised to my account. I also want to avoid on-line application to ward off problem of unclear document(s).

Will it be ideal for me to pay part of the school fees at this stage? Please I need the house to assist me with counsel and advises. I intend to reapply any time from now for January Admission. God bless you all

Graphical, What course did u complete in 2011? Was ur employment letter not included?You are on-track if u ask ur spponsors to transfer the sum to ur account as that will help to clear any doubt and also make payments for ur fees if u can.When did u graduate? U need to show that u have personal assets that will serve as hometie to ur return back to the country. Am assuming u graduated years ago and u have been working. Try produce a clear copy when u apply online or betterstill take the paper route if u choose...What school are u going for this winter btw?

I'm new here. I applied for visa on November 2014, did my Biometrics on 9th of Dec. 2014, did my medicals January 2015, my passport was requested for on April 2015, got my visa August 27th 2015. It was not easy it took serious patience and the grace of God. I just want to know if anyone that applied when I applied experienced the same long proccessing time of more than 8 months. Thank you.

Really? Wat term did u apply for by November 2014? Could this explain why 51weeks is written against Nigeria? Any idea if ur app was processed mainly in accra?

I had my medicals done on Tuesday 25th of August, I went back to the hospital on Firday, to get my own copy of the results. Immediately I got there, I was told the results hasn't been sent to the CIC. That it takes 7 to 10 working days to have it sent cos this is rush hour.
I *fainted* I said, "So CIC hasnt even gotten my medicals yet". SMH.

Well, I was given my test results in an envelope, asides the Xray, which they said Is'nt ready yet.

So, yea I think hospitals give test results to applicants, it now depends on the hospital one uses.

I asked for it at consultant practice during my medicals becos I read from cic website that I could do that. Although I was even willing to pay for the extra report, they said they could not give me...

Someone requested for it at IOM on the day of medicals and he was told that he couldn't get it and it was for CIC's use only. Maybe there's a process for requesting it sha since you say CIC says you can

Lol@41weeks..For wetin na..Its 8weeks normal time. Ur application has exceeded normal processing time. So many pple are in this same condition cos of reasons I can't explain..U might need to bring the attention of CIC to this if u choose. Btw did u apply online or by paper?

For those that have done upfront medicals..What's the procedure? Especially if one is planning to do at IOM by Monday morning. Will one be given the medical sheet same day?

@tkdina's case myt have been ok/good enough, for the minimum requirement to cover for and also God's grace...but not all cases are the same, I guess that's why peep add more documents according to his/her case. I'm sure you know that already. True that...Really depends on how simple or complex ur application can be..For me, the simplest case is for a single applicant, less than 25years with 1st Class at UG completed abt a year ago or less and a scholarship for masters or PhD..

@Dharmie2014...For the fact that you don't know what route to take and u are finding it difficult to view and fill online I suppose, then take the traditional paper route. Print ur forms and fill out with the insteuction guide for paper application..Go to CVAC with ur filled forms and documents and ur cash..

Call up the hospital where he did his medics..They should forward his medical results to CIC.How did he fill his questionaire when asked if he has done a medical exam in the period of 6months?

For those waiting far beyond 8weeks, you are doing ursef so much injustice if u don't propel them for ur visa app outcome. And messaging them doesn't translate to a denial as many have feared this.

Send accra a Case Specific Enquiry and stop waiting in vain. Time is ur most precious asset. Cheers!

It is advisable he travels close to resumption.

Phrancisco, that is not a big deal. i can assure you that if you apply again your visa would be granted. but you need to provide the solution to reason being used to refused you in your last application. we can solve that if i can see your visa application form.

I dont think you read my previous posts closely. The contention is not whether the company belongs to him or not -- it is clear that he is a part owner. I am saying that owning the company doesn't mean he should write his SOP on company letterhead (though he can in the legal sense).

If I were the OP, I would write my SOP on a regular paper, then I would get my aunt to write a letter on company letterhead describing how my education in Canada would help the company. The aunty would also emphasize my part-ownership of said company and whatever else needs to be said about my involvement in the company.

Anyways @Thomby2k12, whatever you decide won't be a deal breaker. Just giving my two cents.

That's why I gave the condition of if he is a partner. If he is, then he can present it as an asset. But I agree with @thesoj that he doesn't need to write his SOP on a company letterhead. It's a personal explanation from him and not the company. + of what essence is that when he's already going to present the CAC docs and SOA to tackle personal assets
