Mamas pls i have some questions o.

- What brand of breast pump do you recommend? The one that wont hurt my nipples. I'm thinking of getting Tomme Tippee manual pump. I want sth not more than 9k. If there is anyone way cheaper and effective, the better for me.

- How soon can someone travel by air locally after a c-section? And how soon i can travel by air locally with baby?

- If i'm travelling with baby by air, do i need to carrier? Anyone has any idea what kind of carrier is approved?

Sorry for my plenty questions. Pls senior mamas, help me with answers kiss kiss kiss
1. I have an Avent manual pump and it works fine..but you might want to get an electric pump if you're going to pump often.
2. As soon as your comfortable and can sit up without any discomfort and your stitches have healed.
3. Babies can travel as early as two weeks old.
4. By carrier do you mean the baby carrier or a car seat. Anyway you'll be carrying you baby on your lap except you plan on purchasing a seat for him, you'll have to use a car seat.
A carrier to use around the airport is fine and no specifications.
Hope I answered your questions.

That is the main koko she is asking about. Her bill was already sent to debt collectors.
Yes @ aye88 my bill was sent to collections already but I paid to the hospital regardless.
When I called the hospital I was told my bill has been sent to collection but I can still pay the hospital directly. You get?
I even renewed my visa before paying the bill.

Hello all, pls I have a question on behalf of a friend who had her baby December last year. She paid all bills but left without paying the epidural which was billed separately. So she said she called them last week to pay up the bill amounting to about 1500dollars. They told her they no longer have the bill as it's been sent to the debt collectors. She called the debt collectors and was able to pay uo on that day. They said they will send a receipt to her via email. Now her worry is that, she doesn't know if the fact that the bill was sent to d debt collectors will cause problems for her at poe or when ever she wants to renewher visa despite the fact that she has paid it off. I told her I will seek for opinions here
No, I had the same issue and even renewed my visa before paying the bill. I realized I had an unpaid bill when a friend brought mails from the US.
Although I was able to pay the hospital directly not debt collectors.
Also no questions asked at POE.

Experienced mums please help o ooo.....am home alone with a sick nursing friend of mine whose 6months old baby is having serious catarrh and breathing with extreme difficulty. ....he is SO restless. ..We have given him Vit C since yersterday. What other home remedies can I do for the boy to open his nostrils fasthuh The mother is so sick and can't do much for him.
Please you people should help me ooo
Get hot water in a bowl or bucket, carry him then cover both of you with a towel and let him inhale the steam. If you have eucalyptus oil ( you'll get it at a pharmacy) add a few drop to the water or any other balm e.g Robb.
OR
Suck the mucus with you mouth or a bulb syringe if you have one.

Long time mamas, I've not be here in a while o and I'm sure no one missed me grin

Pls when giving our babies eggs, ensure its the yolk only. I didn't know and gave me DD eggs ( the white plus yolk) three weeks ago and 1 hr later she started vomiting, her eyes were red, big red rashes all over her body and she was itching real bad. We ended up going to the hospital & Dr said it was hives ("Urticaria, also known as hives, is an outbreak of swollen, pale red bumps or plaques (wheals) on the skin that appear suddenly -- either as a result of the body's reaction to certain allergens, or for unknown reasons" )
Anyway, no eggs here till she turns one.

Hi my fellow nairalander,
Please i need to buy pears or cusson skin care for my kids but every store in Arlington seems to have only Johnson's product.
Kindly help with info on where I can get this stuff around here or online cos my due date is fast approaching.

Please help a sis.
I doubt you'll get it to buy in any amelikan store. ( I might be wrong)
Try eBay or go to any African store, I'm sure you'll find it there.
Congrats on your smooth entry.

Thanks
Ah! Our president ( Ozycy) come 2019 don tie my mouth grin
I think you're good to go but pls submit those forms one week to your travel date & follow it up too. And I forgot to add you'll need fit to fly from port health too.

Hey mama's, please help with a few questions please:

1. Has anyone ever traveled with Qatar airways?
What's your take on it?
Cos I'm about to book Qatar to Atlanta(at 35 weeks) and I'm a bit skeptical, no previous experience.
Kindly help a preggy sister out smiley
If your going to fly Qatar 35 weeks won't work o! They are going to cancel your flight( mine was). According to Qatar 32w+1day =33w and so on.
You'll need to fill and submit the medif form, an indemnity form and get approval from a Dr in Doha to travel one week to your travel date.
So you might want to fly at 34w max.

I do need some informations and guidelines. Myself and my fiancee are planning on relocating to Canada come next year after finishing her Midwifery. She is a Nurse working in Nigeria. I work in an Hospital as well and with a Master degree and a professional certificate in HSE.
I just need to know the required detailed information that will help to facilitate the process as early as possible so that one can start planning towards it from now.
Thanks in anticipation for your response.
Welcome on board. Please try and read the first page of this thread, the steps has been outlined there..when you're done you can come back and ask specific questions.

Dont feel bad about it, and its not your fault! All babies are different my girls learnt by the time they were 3 years old. Continue with what you are doing... I now its expensive but have you tried pull-ups? Mix both potty training with pull-ups during the day, continue to gage with your child by asking her whether she wants to go to the toilet or not. With time she will be able to associate the feeling of going to the toilet with the potty, all this work will eventually pay off! wink
Thanks dear. Actually I've been using pull ups since dec. I guess I'll have to make extra patience smoothies wink but 3years Na long thing o! Ah! Motherhood...thanks again.

Pls mamas I need effective potty training tip before I go crazy( not from Google o). She always wants to sit on the potty but won't go, Not once and it's been over 3months now. She just turned two and anywhere she sees a toilet she'll request to go.
I give her plenty drinks plus water. She can sit on the potty for two hours but as soon as she gets down from the potty she'll pee on the floor or in her diaper. I've run out of diapers and ain't in the mood to buy more.
I blame myself, I should have started earlier.

Pls mamas, my baby's chest is congested. Like mucour is stucked in there, but the nose is dry. I've been using hot water with Silverbird (Eucalyptus oil) on his nose and chest, but it seems not resolving. Pls how do I handle this?
It's going to clear with time dear ( can't remember the medical term for it). My baby had the same issue, we are 6 months now and it has cleared completely. Pele, I know how frustrating it can be.
It might also be due to low humidity. See if you can get a humidifier in the room plus if you use any of those small heaters in your room you might want to turn it off.
When did you notice the congestion?
