If I were the Minister of Sports , this is what I would do: 1. Notify FIFA of the problems that NFF has caused Nigerian football(so that they will support my next decision), and seek the support of FIFA and the Presidency to disband the NFF first, and re-select a new group of young, passionate, enterprising soccer enthusiasts from ex-professional players, to marketers, to analysts and astute soccer administrators from across Nigeria that are ready to make NFF a highly organised and credible organisation, and a strong brand in the corporate sector, so that many companies will be fighting one another to sponsor the new Super Eagles in the nearest future. 2. Disband the Super Eagles, and retain only 3 players among them(Enyeama, Haruna, and Osaze) 3. Sack Lagerback( a lot of Nairalanders may not like this, but for somebody to have played a clueless Etuhu for 3 matches without trying Ideye, it shows lack of initiative) 4. Give Samson Siasia a five year contract as Super Eagles coach, and ask him to select a fresh team of young players from the local league and foreign players who have never played for the national team before, and sponsor his attendance of coaching courses with 5 of the best coaches in the world. The new Super Eagles will play at least 6 international firendlies annually, to master their cohesiveness and understand one another. For me, this is a good way forward for the team.
Nice one! |
Nice girl! May God bless her the more. Amen. ![]()
This is a very bad idea. Governments are not known to run businesses efficiently. Power distribution should be handled by profit motivated corporations who will safeguard the assets and run the system efficiently. What GJ needs to do is to sell the distribution assets to corporations (preferably joint ventures - proven US/UK/China distribution companies with Nigerian partners) and let them run the distribution system.Governments, whether state of federal are incapable of running the distribution system efficiently.
true talk. |

Well, 2011 is just nearby. IBB will lose woefully. I know I'm going to get a share of that money and he's still going to lose terriblyMaga must pay. LOl. I love Naija. |
PapaBrowne, thanks for your analysis and the figures. KnowAll, thanks for providing the idea that Odua Investments could fund this project. Another way that a project such as this one could be funded is through the Federal Government. On completion of the project, they could sell shares to the Nigerian diaspora, thereby solving the problem of how to finance this project. Also, this way the Nigerian diaspora would be part of the board of trustees, as well as be involved in management, which could help ensure that the project does not fail and is maintained as well. I, for one, would be ready to buy shares in a project such as this one if this helps ensure that it is carried out appropriately. Furthermore, this could also be a great investment opportunity for Nigerians back home. Overall, I think it can be done. |
IBB will not win any presidential election. mark my word. ![]() |
The question we should be asking is what is this meeting about. I think it's very important for Naija to attend. I think it has something to do with our energy need. Naija is been initiated into nuclear energy comunity. Or don't we want electricity anymore. ![]() |
Lol ![]() |
“agaracha must come back”! |
NICE! Musiwa how much will this beautiful dream cost? |
There is no question about Naija being richer than Ghana, but I think the bottom line here is that 70% of Nigerians still live below the global poverty line, while in Ghana it's 50%. It's sad, because in the Western nations an average dog lives better than 70% of Nigerians. |
We should give Ribadu a hero's welcome. |
18 platoon:Buhari has changed, I use to thing he was our only hope but not anymore. he should be more vocal if he wants his image redeemed. I wish him good luck! |

felele:Felele, I can't help but to have noticed that you suffer from Tourette's syndrome. May I recommend an antipsychotic drug, such as Haloperidol, to be taken three times daily with your meals. Next time you have the compulsive urge to insult someone, try and turn it into a compliment. This will prevent people around you from assuming you are antisocial, when, in fact, you have a psychiatric condition. Get well soon! |
felele:So you would like Lagos to be like Kaduna, not center of excellence? Naija should move forward and not backward. |
A person is indigenous to where he or she was born. period. |
