Christianity Etc › Re: This Is Purely Politics: What Kind Of God Will Produce Nigerian Leaders? by beystwin: 11:43pm On Mar 22, 2010 |
Eziachi: Another myopic twang. Then do not serve any God that is mysterious. As mysterious is never compactible with the word "TRUTH". When discussing God, we need to decide if we believe in Him or not. After establishing this, we need to move on to the next stage, which is, do we understand Him? The truth is, nobody knows God. Everybody thinks they know him, interpreting Him and presenting Him to others. The workings of the world are a mystery. Nobody knows why they were born and what they are here for. Although I am personally unhappy about this, and would like to know God more, I have come to realise that this is like a wild goose chase and I may as well give up. In my quest to know/understand God, I have simply come to accept him as a child would, not questioning him - as the Bible says. If you want to serve a 'God' you know, then you might as well serve another human being with authority, e.g. your boss. Some people worship money. If we knew God, would he still be God? Or, put another way, do we have to know God in order for him to be God? |

cap28: @kobojunkie you are on point - as i have said earlier and will continue to say we deserve the a.s.s.h.o.l.e.s we have as leaders because we are not capable of reasoning properly, this woman is a liar and a thief there is nothing honourable about her or she would have not had anything to do with these criminals, this whole topic is a complete waste of time, if i came to your house and stole your money and despoiled your wife then tomorrow you saw me on the road and i came to preach to you about morality would you not be within your right to attack me physically ? - this post is symptomatic of the moral bankruptcy and retardation of our people, we bow and scrape before people who hate us and wish us ill while we scorn and deride genuine and sincere people, im afraid we are going to have to find out the hard way that justice is something you fight for not something that is handed to you on a plate - ask the south africans. Is there anyone more genuine and sincere than Dora in Naija. |

Politics › Ogun State Empowers Non Indigenes by beystwin(op): 12:10pm On Mar 19, 2010 |
Governor Gbenga Daniels has called a meeting with non indigenes to be at peace with with the locals. He also proposed to allocate two positions in his cabinet to non-indigenous individuals. This is remarkable. Perhaps other states in the federation should follow suit. This might just be the solution to Nigeria's ethnic and religious problems. What is your take on this, Nairalanders? |
