5 years in office, the governor of Nsukka has not construct 1 kilometer 'standard road' outside Nsukka zone. Meanwhile, over 70% IGR comes from the abandoned Enugu metropolis. A governor who receives billions of naira monthly from the federal government yet nothing to show for it. He is siphoning our money to develop Abuja where he belongs. We are keeping records because he will leave office one day. 1 Like |

[quote author=ChimaAgbalajob post=62794134] That is if our people patronize the airport as they have snubbed enugu airport Funny enough many people in SE and Igbos in diaspora are still unaware that international travels take place originating from Enugu or ending in Enugu. Many SE based business people still take the risk of carrying money to Lagos when flying to China instead of using the nearer Enugu international airport. Our diaspora Igbos are even more hilarious. I have seen too many people using Ethiopian airline from Europe or America fly to Abuja or Lagos. Then board overnight bus with their families to travel to Enugu or somewhere in the SE. imagine the risk they expose those children to with very long road travels. Apart from robbery and bad roads; most of them experience untold abuse when their vehicles break down in the middle of nowhere. Then they make vlogs complaining about rough roads, police harrassment at checkpoints and other funny troubles they brought on themselves for lack of knowledge. The way Igbos home and abroad snubbed Enugu Airport has made not to blame the federal government for lack of infrastructure in Igbos. Since the upgrade of Enugu Airport to international status, I have been using Ethiopian airline from London to Enugu even though I pay little more. It is a decision I took and I am not changing my mind unless the airline closes the route or the so called federal government shuts it down. If the federal government builds Onitsha seaport, the story will still be the same. Igbos will still find a reason why they cannot use it. Everybody complains about high cost of ticket forgetting that it's economy of scale that determines the air ticket prices. If a large number of Igbos start using the airport, the price will definitely crash. It used to 700 pounds from London but it's now 500pounds. I will be booking a ticket in few days and i just realized that travelling to Enugu from London from January is just about 500 pounds. The difference between Lagos and Enugu may just be 100 pounds. What is 100 pounds to all the troubles one goes through sleeping in unsafe hotels in Lagos, paying all the bribes to police check points and and all the bad roads one has to pass through travelling to east. There's one asking Igbos to come back home. He just came back from Germany and guess where he landed, Lagos. While in Lagos he was still preaching reverse migration, asking Igbos in diaspora to relocate their business home, but he cannot patronize the only airline plying Igbo route. Igbos are very foolish and stupid in nature. We are only good at making noise. Like CJrane pointed out, the way Igbos worship Lagos is so embarrassing that sometimes one will look at Lagos and wonder what the heck there is to enjoy there. Many years ago I visited my cousin at Lagos, he was living around Alaba market. The toilet pits in the house they lived were full to the brim because of rain. In the morning, kids will defecate everywhere in the compound. For the few days I spent there, I could barely eat food. They used to have light once or twice a week. There were about 6 of them sharing a single room. I also visited my friend who was living at Ojota area within the premises of one hospital. When it rains, the entire compound will be under water. You have to wade through the water when leaving or coming back to the house. Electricity was non existent. Some of the places Igbos live in Lagos, yet very proud is shocking. The things our people endure in Lagos they can never endure in Igboland. They say Aba is bad but the truth is that Aba is heaven when compared to some Areas Igbos live in Lagos. So whether the federal government builds seaport or not, it does not in anyway influence the attitude towards Igboland. 9 Likes 1 Share |

MXrep: The Fulani/Yoruba people wearing the gab of EFCC under the guise of fighting corruption, have come to Enugu again to destroy businesses that would give jobs to our unemployed youths. The same thing they did to Chimaroke and funny enough, some Igbo people will cheer this because they didn't benefit from the loot. Our people, when are we going to learn? The main goal of these guys is to make sure no viable business succeeds in Igboland, so that our sons and daughters will end up in Lagos and Abuja. I am not in support of embezzling public fund but why don't they return those properties to the state government at the end of the day. Their main goal is to close down those businesses nothing more nothing less. They want our politicians to move the loot to Abuja and Lagos because only then will they be protected. Peter Obi built a shopping mall at Abuja, when are they going to close that one. Ndi Igbo please be wise. 6 Likes |

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a thief who has come to kill, steal and destroy Enugu State. By the time that buffoon finishes with Enugu State, sorry will be our name. Just imagine the sorry of a governor, all we get from the slowpoke and his shameless clannish brothers is only excuses. If Chime were so irresponsible, he would have stolen all the money coming to Enugu treasury and also give excuses of lack of funds. Chime never ever in his administration complained of lack funds. Shame on Ndi Nsukka, Shame on all of you. You people are a disgrace to Enugu State. I wish you people were yanked off Enugu State map so you can join your Fulani slave masters. I just went through a list of 15 top secondary schools in Nigeria and surprisingly Mea Mater Elizabeth High School Agbani was there. The criteria for selecting the schools was according to their respective performances in WASC exams. Never knew the school is good. Please support Chimaroke's school if you can afford it. I am not a fan of Chimaroke but I love good things. 9 Likes

It is located at the right hand of Nyama bridge i.e the bridge after Gariki, Awkunanaw Enugu. If you want to access it, go through the road beside MTD Police Station close to Gariki. henrychubayo: I will advise us to visit Air Peace Facebook page and read people's reviews and feedbacks about the airline. Maybe we may be able to understand all the noise about Air Peace. I wish the airline well though, but they have to improve their service delivery, if theyare serious about resuming international flight. |

MrEverest: I have always been of the opinion that it's counter-productive trying to force an identify on someone. 'Every man has got a right to decide his own destiny', say Bob Marley. I can decide not to identify as an Igbo and so are Ikwerres. When you try to force an adult to identify with something he doesn't like, he is likely to resist it even to death, even when such identity will favour him. The key word is coercion! Let's leave Ikwerres to decide who they are, and only time will tell who really belongs where. Make Igboland what it ought to be, stop developing non core Igbo States, I bet the Ikwerres and their likes will oneday somersault and start claiming Igbos. One of the problems I have with Nnamdi Kanu is calling Efiks and Ibibios, Igbo people. Yet he will deny that Igbos have any ancestral link with the Yorubas even when some Igbo words and syllables have some semblance to the Yorubas. Nobody has the prerogative to assign heritage to anyone. We all know our history, we tell history but it should stop at that. If anyone for whatever reason known to him decides he doesn't belong to any tribe, I think their decision should be respected. I do not like the idea of constantly reminding an adult that he who he says he is not. Psychologically, people tend to rebuff cheap and unsolicited friendly advances. If a beautiful educated girl walks up to a guy and tells him she loves him; it's natural for the guy to feel too important even when he is a nobody, and also perceive the girl as cheap. As long as we Igbos persistently remind the Ikwerres and Aniomas that they are Igbos, a handful of them will continue to feel too important and rebuff our friendly advances. As you just pointed out, the Ikwerres have nothing that other Igbos don't have. There's absolutely nothing they can offer Igbos. However, I feel it's not right to force identity on people. Personally, I don't do that. 6 Likes |
