Ehindero should be probed. He's dirty like a farm pig! |
@Mckren: On a serious note, I saw the same report this morning, but it has not been confirmed. |
Oga Mkren, how come you come bring something to cover our face like this? Can't you see that Colonial is dropping knowledge? Abeg, be careful ooo! |
Colonia: Please ignore MAMAJAMA; he's allergic to logical thinking. He usually gets sick when he thinks; so, pardon him for talking rubbish. |
Bravo, Major General Colonia. This is why Africans should accept this policy as a motivation to come together and make things right. We are one, too smart and too tough not to make it happen at home. Together, let us bring Africa back and show these Oyinbos that there is life after Europe and Yankee. This move will also wake leaders up and place them under pressure., because citizens' expectations will double up. |
You're absolutely wrong, my friend. It will be fair to the rest to refocus back to the topic. |
This is another problem facing Africans "SPECULATION" @MAMAJAMA: You're not even close. Give me a break and let's focus on the topic. |
Blemish, dishonor, degradation, decadence, ridiculous, humiliation, incognizant, hollowness, uninformed and absolutely nothing to write home about. Praise God it is finally about to be over. |
Posted by Frosbel After all the west siphons our wealth in connivance with the elite and nobody talks.Look, that is old story. We can't move forward if we continue to dwell on the past. If leadership role in Africa is solid, Africans wouldn't be treated like this all over the world. I feel like we've given them the approval to treat us like animals; therefore blame us, not them. I remember as a kid, travelling to Europe and United States for vacation and feeling very proud to be a Nigerian; during these days, believe it or not, these same oyinbo folks used to kiss our ass, because we had it all. But lack of strong dedicated leaders has messed things up for us. Now, it's time to deal with it and regroup. Stop crying folks, let's rise up and make it right again. |
@MAMAJAMA: How long are you willing to sweep your neighbor's floor to watch their TV? When are you going to finally make the difficult decision to work harder and get your own TV? Do you want your kids, your grand kids and great grand kids to follow your foot step (sweep neighbor's floor to watch their TV)? How long do you plan to depend and look-up to your neighbor? Do you have any plans at-all to look into getting your own TV? Dude, in my eyes, I think this is a great opportunity and Africans should use it as a motivation to change things in Africa for better. And please stop comparing Mexicans/ Mexico (country) to Africans/ Africa (continent). The difference is crystal clear, my friend. |
First, different country, different policy; please don't compare United States to France. It is their country and they have the right to do what is best for the country. And FYI: We, Nigerians did something similar to folks from Ghana in the past. Second, Just because you sweep your neighbor's floor everyday to get to watch their TV for 2 hours doesn't mean your neighbor is obligated to the deal. He could ask you not to come back and cancel the deal at anytime for the sake of his family. It is now the duty of your parents and yourself to work harder and get a TV, this way you wouldn't have to depend or look up to your neighbor for the sake of their TV. Neighbor: France You: African Immigrant TV: Better standard of living Your Parents: African leaders Your House: Africa Finally, let's look at this policy as a positive move for Africa and Africans! It is time for us to work harder and get our own TV. |
Back in the days, folks from Africa never used to run to Europe or United States for shelter, it used to be just for education with the intention to return back home and download knowledge; but today, this is not so and this is killing Africa in general. Nobody cares, just sell me a VISA and let me get the hell out of this jungle. And this is one of the reasons why leaders are not committed and citizens' expectations are very low. I think United States and England should follow the same foot steps of France, May be this will wake us up, bring us together and push us to work harder toward making Africa a better place to live; because it is obvious that 98% of our problems are home made. If we have no other choice, but to stay in Africa, believe me, folks will rise up and make it their business to do what is right. Let's look at this policy as a positive move for Africa and Africans |
As long as they are not forcing these immigrants, I truly do not see anything wrong with the policy. Sometimes you have to do whatever is best for your country. Do you guys remember Ghana must go era? The only problem I have with French is why Africans? If they can give sensible reason, I absolutely have no problem with the policy. This policy might also be a positive thing for the Africans. May be it will wake our leaders up and motivate them to work together as one and make Africa a better place to live. |
Hey, I'm cool and it is OK, if you guys see nothing wrong; but I must tell you that your image around the world continues to get darker and darker every single day. Very soon Nigerian businesses around the world will be affected negatively and may be that will wake us up as citizens of Nigeria. One love! |
Yes, this is clear to everybody. we definitely need to make changes and change direction, but I don't need a stranger to negatively write about my country. When American media starts exposing the bad and the ugly of a country, the result is never a favorable one. |
It is OK, if you guys see nothing wrong; but I must tell you that your image around the world continues to get darker and darker every single day. Very soon Nigerian businesses around the world will be affected negatively and may be that will wake us up as citizens of Nigeria. Enough Nigerians are now starting to use their middle English names to cover up their Nigerian identities because of the image the media is painting to the world. We must stop this nonsense, but I'm cool, if you guys think there is nothing wrong with this picture. FYI: American media doesn't leave things alone till they see the down fall; therefore watch out, guys. |
Posted by Spoilt did he lie? lagos is rotten. and everyone has piled into abuja. abuja will soon experience the same rot. we definitely don't have maintenance culture.Like I've said; we know what we have and we also know what we need to do to fix it. Instead of giving this writer air time, we just need to step up and improve the standard of living in Nigeria. |
It is always better to be criticized by your own. I prefer my father, mother, brother or sister to let me know that I have a smelly ass, rather than hearing the same thing from Mr Smith who lives down the road. It is even worst to condone the stupidity of the writer. The writer needs to focus more on Iraq war; I'm sure there is a lot to write about. |
Posted by Jakumo Lagos is by far the foulest, smelliest, most litter-strewn, most randomly violent cauldron of sardine-crammed humanity that I have EVER had the misfortune of visiting, and I would be perfectly content if the place simply ceased to exist. It is extremely disappointing to read the comment posted by a fellow Nigerian. It is amazing. Are you a Nigerian or what? How can you support a stranger to bring down your mother's land just like that? Believe me, you will never never get a star for stepping all over your country, Nigeria. I could take the same writer to Alabama, deep down Chicago, Gary Indiana, deep down Brooklyn NY, dirty Detroit, New Orleans and many many more American cities. Guys, these areas are horrible, you will not believe your eyes, infact you wouldn't believe that these areas are parts of United States. Hence, this writer can bend down and kiss my As#. It doesn't matter where you come from, forks, every country has the good, the bad and the ugly. It makes me sick that writers like this only focuses on the bad and the ugly when it comes to writting about African countries. They never show us the crack heads, prostitutes, murderers, robbers, fat rats, dirty/smelly streets, homeless folks and beggars everywhere, when they talk or write about the holy land (America). Give me a break! Nigeria is my country; yes, things are currently not organized and it's very tough out there, but it will never stay this way forever; I guarantee you that tomorrow will be much better. And Nigerians from everywhere will return back home. We know what we have and we also know what we need to fix it. Please, don't be a fool; never allow or encourage a stranger to expose your dirty laundry |
@Aunty Angel101: The topic will be posted soon. I hope sensible Nigerian new generation from everywhere will have a lot to contribute and share. By the way, I like your energy; it is very titillative. |
Excellent point. Bravo! |
Moreover, don't let us forget that Bola Ige was his best friend. The lost of his friend during OBJ's regime may have a lot to do with his latest action. You just never know. |
Eventhough I'm for peace and moving on together, but Wole Shoyinka has my support. He's free to say what ever he wants. He's been fighting for the poor and the improvement of standard of living in Nigeria for so many years and he still lives in Nigeria. He represents one of the best in Nigeria and he has my full Support. |
@angel0000111 Believe it or not, I'm already working on a very exciting project that might change some of these nightmares for better and forever. A new topic will be posted in few days or weeks, asking Nigerians to list projects each and everyone is working on to make Nigeria as a country a better place to live. We also encourage folks not to be ashame to ask for assistance or support or advise from others. We will also get a chance to positively criticize or praise projects from everywhere. It is also OK to find a way to patent your project before displaying it. But we absolutely discourage folks with big talk and zero action to participate; It is only OK for these people to just read. So, look out! |
Kudos to Colonial. Aunty Angel, when is your arrival date and time. I want to see you lead this crusade! Wole Shoyinka is already warming up and can't wait to make it happen. |
@MAMAJAM: First, you need to calm down; that was just a joke. Second, I look at people's point and never scared to give kudos when it is required. And finally, a good government still plays an important role when it comes to running a successful business effectively or creating jobs for the citizens. MAMAJAM, smile, it's not that serious. |
@Mamajama: You partially missed the point too; hey, but it's only MAMAJAMA and one shouldn't expect much. lol |
You totally missed the point. So, what is the responsibility of the government in regard to jobs and businesses? Without a solid foundation and economy stability I'm not sure if many businesses will succeed. I don't care how much you have, it is still the responsibility of the government to lay the foundation and establish an economy environment that embraces business owners and business activity. Example: if there is a deadly election riot that government resfuses to control for about 9 months straight, inflation for about 9 years, kidnapping for about 2 years, universities close down for about 15 months, importation and exportation subside for about 15 years because of embargo and finally murderers and robbers walking around the country freely; Could you please tell me how a business owner could effectively function in this kind of environment? What will happen to investors? You need a government or leader who is clearly competent to prevent such calamities from happening. And this why Politicians will continue to promise "job creation" and "security for the citizens" during their campaigns for elections. It is very very important, make no mistake about it. My man, you're a good man and a bright businessman, but business is much deeper than what you think, government's support or assistance is absolutely required for many businesses to be profitable enormously. |
Posted by Seun: In the same way, I believe that it is a duty of every individual to create a job for himself by making himself useful to others. This may involve applying for a job, or it may involve starting your own tiny business. It is absurd make this the duty of the government. It is like asking the government to create products for businessmen. How absurd!First, this is a very good point, but at the same time you must realize that fingers are not the same. Some people just don't have creativity sense, while others just don't have the opportunity and the rest just don't have the skill to put business together, it doesn't matter how tiny the business may be. And just because these people don't have this token doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid. This is why it is still one of the most important duty of the government to create job opportunities; either by assisting potential business owners or by creating an economy environment that is business friendly. Hence, don't let us get carried away just because some of us have the skill, the support and the opportunity to take it to the next level. Government's responsibility is to serve the citizens of the country. |
You know what? you're right; if it wasn't because of the quarrel between the two, one of them would have been our new president. So, I second your point, McKren. |

It is amazing, but I can't blame you. It is true that a man's belief is as strong as his identity. Hence keep on hidding; you can hide from everybody, but you can't hide from yourself. I know who you are and till your balls are big enough to disclose your true Identity, please give me a break. |
I will say, it is too early to make that judgment at this point. Both of them are still running around with the immunity protection, let us wait for about 6 months and see what happens. |
