@AFAM I do not know why folks continue to associate the two people together negatively; it is totally wrong and unfair. One is a former leader of our lovely country and the other is a business man who is totally committed or dedicated to investing heavily in Nigeria. What is the crime?. I see why many rich Nigerians do not want anything to do with Nigerians or Nigeria. |
@ ASHIWAJU I truly feel you. It is sad, unbearable and I wish one has an answer to all these mess. Our current leader is not focused and he's in his own little world. Let's hope for the best; it's almost May 2007, solution is on the way. |
Americans are making it very difficult for Mr.Bush to accomplish his latest goal. They've refused to approve Mr. Bush's new Iraq war strategy "sending 20,000 more troops". UK, on the other hand is currently putting plans together to withdraw the UK troops by March of this year; their prime minister has also condemned the way Saddam's execution took place. I'm starting to feel bad for Mr. Bush, the poor guy can not get a break from any where. |
Posted By saintchux: It is true that the decision was made by federal military government then, headed by IBB just like we want to kill OBJ now for any wrong policy made by federal government. so IBB should take the blame and accept it in good faithYou're wrong @ Saintchux It is known and very visible that OBJ's agenda is totally dedicated to OBJ, and 90% of his decision are made by Mr. president himself. It is never his style to consult with anyone (his cabinet) and exhaust all options before making his decision. On the other hand, IBB has never made a decision without consulting with many and without analyzing all other options. His decisions may be wrong or brought negative impact to the nation, but these decision were never intentionally made or singly made by just him. And believe it or not, this is one of the reasons why many still admire him till today. It has also been confirmed that the 1993 election was cancelled due to the forecasting process executed by the top government officials before and after the election, which indicated an irruption of major conflict through out all the premier cities in Nigeria. As we all know, forecasting is one of the major role of any effective and successful leader through out the world; it is also important to know that while forecasting could be advantageous and guards a nation toward progress, it could also be disadvantageous and brings down major negative impact to a nation. And that is the risk one takes as a leader; afterall, no-one knows tomorrow. Hence it is time to let go the 1993 cancellation propaganda and move forward unitedly. |
Cool, I will holla at you few days before my trip. May be I will finally get my chance to smack you around. lol |
Why are you talking as if you were born yesterday? While you were in Nigeria, how many finger pointing did you do? Give me a brake |
Good point. |
FYI: Baba Iyabo is currently busy watching his own back, you know what comes around may eventually stops by. Believe me, as the count down rolls, the pressure becomes more visible for Baba Iyabo |
Dude, I will be in Detroit for few days towards the end of this month. How far is Chi town form Detroit? |
It will be fair to stop bashing the man for something that was done jointly for the purpose of uniting the nation. By the way, don't you slumber, IBB is still pretty much in the picture. |
Dude, just watch your back. I wouldn't be surprised if the same folks you claim working for you on issues that matter to us are really woking towards selling your behind. Watch your back, my man. |
@MAMAJAMA Annulled means void or invalid and also to obliterate the existence of a position. Cancellation means termination of a position with a tracking record. The different between the 2 One shows an existence (record) while the other doesn't. One will be legal while the other will be illegal. |
Here we go again with your "moving my people forward project" Dude, you couldn't even withstand basic pressure in Nigeria while you were there for few days, but you want to move your people forward. From where? From the windy city? Please, give me a break! My man, I think that project is a-little bit too heavy for you; no disrespect. |
Dude, no body is denying IBB's responsibility. That is not the point, the point is the fact that the election was not annulled as being claimed by many. The election was cancelled for a very reasonable reason. And I do not think it's fair to continue to beat up this guy with out getting the fact that encircles their decision to cancel the election. |
@MAMAJAMA You sound like your experience at home during your vacation was gruesome. You need to calm down, things are not that bad at home. |
Insecurity and adjustment issues. |
@MAMAJAMA That was not true, IBB has never at anytime admitted to annulling the election. |
As we all know, it's been stated repeatedly by many Nigerians over the years that the 1993 election was the most successful election that ever took place in Nigeria; and simultaneously many continue to criticize or bash IBB for annulling the election. In-fact, it has been confirmed that the election wasn't annulled, but was cancelled to prevent major conflict within Nigeria during that period. Furthermore, the decision wasn't made by just IBB, but was made by many federal government officials e.g head the executive departments of the government and Federal government official advisers. Also, it seems to me that all these government officials remain invisible while IBB on the other hand continues to get the bashing and thwacking severely alone just about every day in and outside Nigeria. Moreover, it is also important to know and understand the different between ANNULMENT and CANCELLATION. Please share your views on this matter. |
Guys, you can also listen to IBB interview on the same site. |
@JAKUMO I'm just extremely sensitive when it comes to hearing anything negative about sweet Nigeria. I am truly sorry for my ignorance. One love. |
Now that Saddam is dead and things are still not looking good in Iraq, America continues to scramble for solution. Mr. Bush is about to dispatch 20,000 more troops to Iraq; what exactly are they looking for this time around? Saddam is dead, his 2 boys are dead, there is no WMD and definitely there is no peace in the region. So, what is Mr Bush trying to accomplish by sending more troops? Is sending more troops is an answer? |
@ BIOYE Thank you very much. Some people just like to say rubbish just for the sake of speaking. |
@ sista He was praying |
@ JAKUMO: Posted by JAKUMO Big B1 if you travel Nigeria's roads and highways for more than a day or two, then you are bound to have seen human road-kill - unclaimed corpses, lying out in the sun along the roadside in various stages of putrefaction, so I am a bit surprised to hear that you lost your appetite over the sight of a neck injury.I'm sorry to hear that, but I don't get to see such thing. Believe me, you only see what you want to see in Nigeria; it could definitely be avoided if you choose to! |
@ AFAM You are damn too sensitive; you cry about everything, you have a big mouth and you've got an answer to everything. I swear to Allah, if you're not a chick, then you must used to be a chick back in the days. Back to the topic: Bush is about to dispatch 20,000 more troops to Iraq; what exactly are they looking for this time around? Saddam is dead, his 2 boys are dead, there is no WMD and definitely there is no peace in the region. So, what is Mr Bush trying to accomplish by sending more troops? |
The Topic says "Saddam Hussein is dead" Let's focus on the subject. Absolutely no need to treat one another with gross insensitivity or display unwanted rudeness toward one another. We are all adults, show some self-respect, my man. |
@AFAM Believe me, you need to calm down. |
@AFAM: No need to be that way. |
@ REVEREND What you've recommended will only promote a long lasting civil war, which will eventually spill into other region in middle east. I don't think this is an effective solution, especially coming from a "REVEREND". What happen to solidarity among the brothers? I say, get other middle east brothers (countries) involved and let them sort things out among one another. These folks should create a new group among themselves, this group main goal is to unify the Arab brothers by sharing and respecting one another. On the other hand, I'm not sure if America will be happy to see this happen; because when Arab brothers start unifying selves, this will create a strong bond in the middle east, which will eventually eliminate America out of the picture. |
@ segoye Excellent point. It is definitely a can of worms that has become intractable. And killing Saddam in that manner will not solve anything but pour more gasoline into a burning fire. Believe me, Mr. BUSH has no idea and I'm not sure if anyone knows how to deal with this dreadful situation in Iraq; but you know the old adage that says "you break it, you own it". This is why America is desperate to make things right by all manner of means. Let's hope for the best. May God bring peace to the world. |
