Politics › Re: Why Is Nigeria Not Working? by BigB11(m): 6:33am On Jan 04, 2007
Currently, Nigeria is not working because of OBJ.

We have the biggest opportunity to effectively fight corruption in Nigeria, but our mighty leader (OBJ) is dirty as a farm pig. This is making it difficult for organization like EFCC to function productively.

Baba continues to divide the country and indirectly disabling major federal government day to day activities.

No need to waste time writing story; corruption is our main issue.

Once corruption issue is dissolved, sky is the limit, folks.

Hell No!

It's not going to happen; Na shakara

Baba's balls are not big enough.

Atiku will be the Nigerian VP till May 2007.

@alabiyemmy

Excellent!

You will never never see this on CNN.

I still believe that people like Saddam might just be the answer to the current situation in Iraq.

Do you guys know how many people tortured or killed every year by CIA?

Believe me there will never be a perfect leader through out the world; Saddam just happened to be a perfect scape goat for Mr BUSH.

May God bring peace to the world.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Saddam Hussein Is Dead by BigB11(op): 2:24am On Jan 04, 2007
@TAYOD

Who overthrown Saddam's regime?

Who captured Saddam?

Who designed the election in Iraq?

Who Kept Saddam in jail for over 2 years?

Who brought Saddam to the Gallow for the execution?

Do you truly think Saddam was killed by the people of Iraq?

Please, give me a break.

The killing was done by US.

@MAMAJAMA

Dude, you keep going off line; what does Chief Alex Akinyele's married life or his mustache got to do with IBB contesting for 2007 presidential election?
Please, let's don't turn this forum into a day care play ground.

You really don't have to type anything if you've got nothing to say.

Stay focused, my friend.

Off the record, are you related to ODEKU?

@MAMAJAMA

Why do people love to twist and change topic from blue to purple?

What does this topic have to do with Adenuga?

Is Adenuga a government official or elected leader? No.

MAMAJAMA, no disrespect, but let's stay focused on one topic.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Saddam Hussein Is Dead by BigB11(op): 7:52pm On Jan 03, 2007
@TAYOD

Believe me, things should have been done differently.
Saddam should have been left in power with close monitoring; and then eventually systematically delete or take him out of the picture.

US and UK have enough resources and intelligence to carry out this operation successfully; but we have super man and his boy friend (BUSH and BLAIR) who want to make name for themselves by flexing muscle; even with the objection of UN.

As per KOFI, history and culture can not be defeated.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Saddam Hussein Is Dead by BigB11(op): 7:28pm On Jan 03, 2007
@TAYOD So far, how many dead bodies and how many more to go? All because we want to change these people's history and culture.

My friend, at the end of the day, it doesn't worth it.
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 7:18pm On Jan 03, 2007
@AFAM:
First, the purpose of this topic is not to solve corruption problem in Nigeria; The purpose of this topic is finding a better way to empower the standard of living in Nigeria.
By enforcing the leaders and their families to live in Nigeria and utilize our resources will indirectly bring major improvement.

Second, do you really believe that you and Mr Nzeribe's proposal will solve corruption in Nigeria?
Quote by AFAM:
His suggestion? Ask any Nigerian the source of his wealth for example Mr A has a mansion, all that he needs to explain is how he came about the money to build the mansion, Mr B buys a private jet, he should tell us where the money came from, simple and practical ways of fighting this monster called corruption.
Go and study more; believe me, this will never solve anything. Big boys already figured out a way to beat this strategy.

Finally, stay focused and no need to get personal.

Excellent state of mind.
It feels so good to know that at least one person is alive around here.

Count me in.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Saddam Hussein Is Dead by BigB11(op): 6:56pm On Jan 03, 2007
@Reverend

You're absolutely correct.
During Saddam's regime, things weren't sweet and dandy, but things were very calm.

This is why I believe that DEMOCRACY is not for every country. It is sad, but it's the fact.
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 6:38pm On Jan 03, 2007
Unbelievable and Amazing.

It is sad that we can't discuss and share ideas like brothers without getting personal.

@ AFAM and @ McKren respectively, that was uncalled- for.

I'm not related to IBB, it's not even close and I don't work for him; but he has my 100% support because at this point in Nigeria, he's the only one that can bring changes effectively, efficiently and unitedly.

Is that a crime?
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 5:32pm On Jan 03, 2007
We need a serious dedicated leader who can make all these wonderful ideas happen.

I still feel that at this point in time, IBB will be perfect.
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 5:21pm On Jan 03, 2007

@ MAMAJAMA

You don't get it.

What is your point? You mean living outside Nigeria is better? I don't know where you're from, but for me there is no place like Nigeria.
With a-little bit of improvement, sky is the limit.

My strategy is not to take anything away from anybody, but to force politicians to produce or dance to their own music.

But I'm not sure if you're ever going to get it; no offence, my man

@ Ynot:
I could just tell that you are one of those folks that disrelish changes. Well, don't be scared; in order for our lovely country to move forward effectively and efficiently we need changes; and we have to start from somewhere.

To answer your question:

All it takes is modifying our constitution. Hopefully people like OBJ (that loves to change constitution for self benefit like changing underwear) will be gone soon for ever.

Keep hope alive.
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 3:56pm On Jan 03, 2007
It will also weed out politicians that want to take us for a ride.

We must limit the privilege of the politicians on-till they've done a great job and retired from service.

United States Military uses the same strategy and this is one of the reasons why the program has been successful for many years.

We must make it clear to the politicians that their positions are not honorary positions. These are serious positions that require competency and any dishonest pot belly thief will not be tolerated.
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 3:37pm On Jan 03, 2007
Well, too bad.
If that is the case, then stay the mess away from contesting for any office in Nigeria.

It is that simple.

Are you not tired of that same story "I was a rich man before I became the governor"?

How can you be working for NIKE, but your entire family wears ADIDAS?

It doesn't make sense.

If you want to be part of leading a nation, then you must be proud of all the resources of that nation (medical, education, Igbo made stuff and so on); hence it will also make sense to have your family utilize all  these resources.

And believe me folks, this is the only way special attention will be paid to these resources, which will also lead to enormous improvement.

This is a win win strategy and it should be implemented immediately.

IBB will contest 2007 presidential election

By OLA AGBAJE
Tuesday, January 2, 2007

Former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida (rted) will soon bounce back to contest for this year’s presidential election under a political party which identity is still being kept secret.

Babangida’s close confidant and former Minister of Information, Chief Alex Akinyele disclosed this while speaking to Daily Sun in Lagos.

According to Akinyele, Babangida merely made a tactical retreat when he opted out of the PDP presidential primaries.
“He will still contest this year’s presidential election under a new party which I cannot disclose to you now.

“I was not surprised, neither was I shocked nor disappointed when he withdrew from the PDP primaries. I told you before that IBB will come out to contest and he confirmed that by picking the party’s form.

“But you saw the way some gentlemen were rubbished in the party primaries. IBB is too decent, too exposed and well experienced to allow himself to be rubbished under the guise of a guided democracy,” he said.

The Ondo high chief who decried the way the ruling party’s primaries were conducted said opting out of the race at that stage was the best decision for Babangida since according to him, “there are several avenues through which he can realise his presidential ambition outside PDP.”

“He is a great leader, loved by the people irrespective of creed and tribal affinity. You saw the unprecedented crowd that heralded his entrance into the race the day he went to pick the form. That tells you a lot about his popularity rating and general acceptability.

So he will come out under another platform. And if God so desires, he would be there,” he said.
The former minister who has just married a new wife also took time to warn his kinsman, Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN) to stop harassing Babangida over the murder of the late editor in-chief of Newswatch magazine, Dele Giwa killed with a parcel bomb in October 1986.

He noted that Fawehinmi has explored all avenues available to pursue Babangida over the matter. “Gani has pursued Babangida for so long because IBB is what he is. He has tolerated Gani for long. There is no level Gani did not go to achieve justice. If you pursue a man and you cannot get him, you leave him alone.

“He should leave IBB alone. And I want to tell you one million Gani Fawehinmi cannot stop IBB from being the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, if God so desires.
“IBB is a complete gentleman and for Gani to continue to harrass him, rubbish him, molest him and blackmail him is because IBB is a gentleman. Let him do that to another person, the story would be different. We are appealing to millions of Babangida’s sympathisers to ignore Gani,” he said.

Akinyele however agreed with Fawehinmi that both President Olusegun Obasanjo and his vice Atiku Abubarkar are embarrassing Nigerians, especially, those in the diaspora over their conduct and deserve to be impeached.

He lamented that no Nigerian in the United States will be proud to identify with their fatherland because of the shameful conduct of their leaders.

“If you say you’re a Nigerian, they will tell you straight away that your president and are rogues. So tell me how can one be proud in such a situation,” he stated.
He called on the nation’s stakeholders to intervene and resolve the dispute between Obasanjo and Atiku in the interest of the nation.
Politics › Re: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by BigB11(m): 3:09am On Jan 02, 2007
Definitely, they shouldn't be allowed to live outside Nigeria; infact, they should be forced to use Nigerian medical system and all their kids should also attend Nigerian schools.

Trust me, folks, this is the only way special attention would be paid to our medical system and standard of education in Nigeria.

Most of these folks (leaders) are selfish or greedy; you guys will see how quick our medical system and standard of education will improve if their families have to use these resources.

You are not allowed to run for any office in Nigeria if your family is too special to live in Nigeria or to utilize the Nigerian public medical system and attend Nigerian public schools.

This system will weed out the bad fruits from the real or dedicated politicians who understand their role and care about the citizens of Nigeria.

Questions:Have you ever seen Saddam killing anyone?
Have you ever seen Saddam releasing MDW (gas) to killing anyone at any time?
Have you ever seen Saddam torturing anyone at any time?
Have you ever discovered any MDW at anytime in Iraq?

Even Donald Runsfed visited Saddam's palace several times during the 1980s after the genocide
without any regards to the people of Iraq; up on-till  the middle of 1980s Saddam was still one of American's friends; how come America didn't probe him during this period?

Regardless of who you are, America will get you if they want you!
Saddam happened to be a perfect scape goat by being Mr Bush's worst enemy.
If Saddam had welcomed America to take over the oil drilling in Iraq, trust me, Saddam Hussein would have still been American number 1 friend and none of this free the people of Iraq propaganda would have occurred.

Yes, Saddam was an evil man, but who am I to judge another man?

May God bring peace to the world.

@ layifioren:

Dude, may God bless you and your pictures.

There is no need for me to entertain you, because you've deviated from the topic to something else you've made up in your head.
You need to go back, take your time and read my comments again. There is nobody praising or condoning Saddam's evil ways.

You totally got it wrong, my man.

You also need to go study how many more leaders walking around with blood in their hands. Start from South Africa to North Korea, my friend.

Also find out why it took America several months before dispatching just 32 soldiers to Liberia to rescue innocents Liberian citizens during the civil war. Keep in mind that Liberia happens to be the only African country colonized by America. (was it because Liberia didn't have enough oil)?
But America was so quick to dispatch 200,000 soldiers to Iraq to free the people of Iraq. Why? What makes people in Iraq so special for America to be spending so much money and man power to free these people?

You need to go back to history and find out how many years Mandela spent in Jail and how many years South African people spent suffering in the hands of the Europeans.

My point: For many years Americans pick and choose fight and I'm not sure if that is right. It is also known all over the world that when you refuse to kiss America's ass, they will find a way to turn your own people against you. Saddam just happened to be a perfect scape goat in this case.

There were many other folks in Iraq that admired Saddam, but CNN wouldn't show you that side of the country, they rather only focused on folks who were against him.

Saddam was an evil man just like many other leaders and deserved to be punished, but who am I to judge another man?

May God bring peace to the world.

Happy NEW YEAR, my friends.
