@ alabiyemmy: What is your point? Money wasted? what are you talking about? |
My man, SEGOYE2: Why are you wasting your time educating this fool (LEWA)? It is clear that the cat has no common sense and he's lacking wisdom as well. His main specialization is using 4 or 6 insulting big words to continuously disrespect his elders. By the way, I think it's a perfect idea for SEUN to start charging folks per click; I bet you, this move will drive powerless fools like LEWA away for ever. SEGOYE, please continue to discuss Nigerian politics and effective ways to move our lovely country forward unitedly. And please, please disregard this looser's comments; he has absolutely nothing to contribute, he's nobody but an attention seeker who needs to grow up and learn how to respect others. |
After Mr Odili spent millions for Muyiwa's wedding, I don't think OBJ will allow him to be impeached. Show me the money and show me some respect= OBJ's protection. |
It is amusing how you put in the effort and time to dig out nothing but the negative elements; boy, you're truly a looser. You need to go back and double check again; my friend, I stand for nothing but positivity and advancement. |
Posted by SEGOYE2 The only person that can audit this present government by mid next year is IBB. Because he's a straight forward man and fears no one. The greatest mistake our federation will make is entrusting the government in the hands of OBJ's babiesExcellent point. |
@ segoye2 No need to waste your time. Most of these folks can't even come home; they get their political information through Nigeriaworld.com, which is fine. But don't come here acting like you're somebody, talking rubbish. They can't do nothing, but make impotent noise from far away. |
Certainly, this could be prevented if our priority is restructured. Instead of spending so much money on building OBJ's Library, instead of unnecessarily spending heavily to refurnish state houses and so on, may be some of these funds should be designated for this type of project. We definitely do not need any loan from the world bank; moreover if the world bank truly cares, then they shouldn't give out the loan. I wonder if the money is truly being spent on Malaria prevention program or OBJ's OTA farm, who knows? Anything is possible in Nigeria. |
As usual, this is another puerile annotation coming from my man, LEWA; it is totally uncouth and uncalled for, but it also shows individual background and level of thinking. Believe me my man, you can make your point clearly and still get all the attention you're obviously seeking for without exhibiting contemptuous rudeness character. It is very important not to allow things to get into our heads or get carried away. This is simply a forum and a mere discussion of ideas and dissimilarities among fellow Nigerians. It is also important to note that even if Awolowo or Zik comes back and becomes Nigerian next president, it is indubitable that without fellow Nigerians respecting one another and developing sense of unity, Nigeria as a country will never never progress effectively as we all desire. Instead of promoting substandard behavior, please let's show a cogent home training, self respect and utilize this incredible site productively. May God bless my lovely country, Nigeria. |
Simmer down Folks; there is no need to be paranoid and definitely no need to display an affront behavior towards one another. Let's embrace the quality of being worthy of esteem. At the right time a felicitous party will be elected as the next Nigerian president and we will all jubilate together as one. I am confident that the great people of Nigeria will make the right choice. May God bless Nigeria. |

Let's sit back and watch. The one that laughs last laughs best and forever. We will all jubilate together as one when the time is right. As per segoye2's suggestion: " if you think IBB is corrupt and a murderer, please point out the saint" I am curious to know the saint, hence IBB haters, please point the saint out. May God bless Nigeria. |
@Backslider I truly admire and respect your positive spirit, but your agenda reminds me of IRAQ war agenda. It looks good and sounds good on the paper, but the execution is the deadly challenging part. How to move Nigeria to greatness in 2 years effectively and efficiently will be cleaning up the corrupt system and corrupt culture. If we are successful in accomplishing these two goals (in-corruptness of the system and culture), 90% of our problem will be solved immediately. FYI: corruption problem in Nigeria is not only encircled by the politicians, but everyone is involved; starting from the police men to airport officials; even an ordinary gate man is corrupt. Hence, corruption in Nigeria is much bigger than the politicians. Our problems must be attacked from the root and then all other good recommendation you've listed will follow. This is one of my reasons why I think IBB will be perfect to come back and correct things. He's desperate for success and can not afford to mess up. He's under the eyes of the world. He can not steal, he will not steal and other big wig officials will think twice before stealing as well. Nigeria needs an iron man, a tough and highly respected character to stop the craziness and move the country forward unitedly. Nigeria is a very very difficult country. At this time, I can not see anyone else who is capable of handling Nigeria effectively and competently; I will continue to do my research, may be there is someone else out there, but for now IBB is the man. May God bless Nigeria. |
@BUCHIO7 It's not over till the fat lady sings. Sit back and watch, my friend. |
I'm not surprised, DUKE is a fine man, but needs more time to develop. Even his supporters know this fact, but refuse to see the light. OBJ will not approve anyone he does not trust. Fact: OBJ doesn't trust Yoruba or Igbo. |
@Loverbwoy Dude, when are you going to wake up? Nobody is prosecuting anybody, period. |
@HAVILA: You're very very smart. Please say no more. It is very clear that none of these folks understands politics. I will sit and watch. I rest my case. May God bless Nigeria. |
"the one that laughs last laughs best and forever" |
Any IBB hater that rejoices because he stepped aside for now, truly does not understand politics. FYI: From day one, IBB anticipated this action and reaction; and believe me, he's fully prepared. "A given position has no value like the one you worked and fought hard to procure"; IBB is focused and determined to fight to the end. May God bless Nigeria. |
This letter to me is a sign of a true leader, a sign of loyalty, a sign of upstandingness, a sign of honor, a sign of dignity, a sign of high standard, a sign of high respect. Bravo to IBB. I'm proud to commend IBB for exhibiting such a superior high class It is obvious and confirmed by many that most Nigerian leaders are lacking any of these qualities. And the dead heads wonder why 76% of the nation are utterly behind IBB. Don't get it twisted folks; I can assure you that this is only the beginning; let's sit and watch. I stand upright by my belief; My support for IBB remains incompressible. May God bless Nigeria. |
Gen. Babangida in his letter to President Obasanjo said: “I wish to convey to you my decision to withdraw from the PDP nomination process. The reason grows out of a moral dilemma I faced as soon as Alhaji Umar Yar’Adua and Gen. Aliu Mohammed Gusau entered the race. I have been wrestling with this for quite some time and now came to this decision. “Those who know me know my relationship with Yar’Adua family. The patriarch, Alhaji Musa Yar’Adua took me as his adopted son with his son, the late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’Adua and instilled in late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’Adua and me that nothing should be done by either of us that would give the impression that there is a strain in our relationship. “To me, this extends to his younger brother, Alhaji Umar Yar’Adua who I take as my younger brother. Whenever I see him, I see the late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’Adua and I am always reminded of what his late father told us about our relationship. “As soon as he collected the form, he came to me to solicit my support as an elder brother and I freely gave him. I still stand by that. What this means is that I will not be in competition with him. This is what he would expect from his late elder brother, Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’Adua. “As for Gen. Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, by March 2007, it will be 40 years of close, intense, harmonious relationship extending to our immediate and extended families. He, too, came to see me to ask for my support as soon as he collected his form even though he knew I had already collected mine. Out of abiding loyalty, he knew when I said, ‘you have my support,’ that I wanted it to be so. “So on personal, moral grounds, I would rather allow these two gentlemen to continue their ambition in the PDP. I value many years of harmonious relationship to unnecessary and avoidable strain. “Mr. President, I wish to inform you that I shall be exploring other options in due course to advance my commitment to democracy and the Nigerian nation.” And replying, President Obasanjo said: “ I am at once surprised and pleased at your letter intimating me of your desire to withdraw from contesting the presidential primaries of our party, the PDP. “You attribute your decision to due consideration of your adoptive sonship to late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua which is transferred to his younger brother, Umaru. You also refer to your 40 years of friendship with Aliyu Gusau. “You affirm that you will find it morally difficult to compete or contest against both Aliyu Gusau and Umaru Yar’Adua since both of them sought your support for their presidential ambitions. “I do understand and appreciate your dilemma at having to give your support to two close people at the same time for the same office. This is even easier handled than having to compete with both of them at the same time. “Knowing you as I have known you over the years, this decision of yours which must be appreciated and commended by all well-meaning friends of yours and those who might not be so friendly, is a clear indication of your good-naturedness and your character of loyalty to a cause and to friends, dead or alive. “This is one attribute I have found to be quite uncommon in some quarters within the political arena in these days. It, therefore, must be applauded by one and all whenever it is found. I so applaud you. Together with other elder statesmen, you can join hands to continue to build as a non-partisan contributor. “I crave your indulgence to forward a copy of your letter and my response to the National Chairman of our party, the PDP, who I am sure will be equally delighted at the nobility of your action and may choose to use it as he deems fit. “I have written this acknowledgment in a hurry as I am on my way to Syria on a state visit. When I return, I will be able to talk to you |
You guys should quit attacking COCO29. We have nobody else to blame, but ourselves. What do you expect from an outsider when we (Nigerians) can not even respect our own country? I mean, read through the thread and see how difficult it is for some folks to say something positive about their own country, Nigeria. It is unbelievable. Hence, leave the poor lady (COCO29) alone, we've placed ourselves in that vulnerable position. So, let's deal with it. |
Thank you very much, Mr. Jakumo. Peace. |
@otokx I haven't seen it yet. Do you have the site info? |
@MR ME TOO No, you got it wrong again, my friend. The one that thinks slowest doesn't necessarily represent failure; in this case it represents experience, intelligence and patience. Do you play chess or golf? Trust me, IBB or IBB's camp is not dull like others; this camp is focused, ready and will execute at the right time. Hence, do not slumber, my brother. |
This is one of the reasons why EFCC has no credibility in my book. This also reminds me of an adage one of old friends used to say back in the days, this adage states: "what ever you're looking for in SOKOTO is inside your trouser's pocket" Does that make any sense? |
@LoverBwoy: Dude, you totally missed the point, but that is fine; after all, fingers are not the same. |
@JAKUMO But still you didn't have to be that negative about your mother land. Trust me, all countries have bad fruits. I still feel that you should have focused more on nice things rather than bringing out the dirty laundries. The topic says, Tell me some positive things about Nigeria. That is the different between Americans and some Nigerians; Americans will never tell you about the crack heads or homeless folks or jobless situation or robbers or getting killed. They will tell you more about timesquare, night clubs, nice restaurant and so on. If we continue to walk around with negativity, our lovely country will not move forward. Please, please say something nice about my country, NIGERIA. May God bless Nigeria |
@buchio7: I truly respect and appreciate your sincerity on this matter, but you're totally wrong. So far, I haven't discovered any other candidate that is better than IBB. IBB may be older, but he has the fire to make things happen effectively and efficiently in Nigeria; he has more than what it takes, my friend. The man is focused and calm. His platform will be introduced at the right time. Remember that "the one that laughs last laughs the best and laughs forever" May God bless Nigeria |
Nigerians are not bad. The incredible Nigerians over shadow the bad ones. And keep in mind that every single society or country has bad fruits on the counter, hence don't you let anyone lie to you. Keep your head up, stay strong and be proud. May God bless Nigeria. |
Let me put it this way: Nigerians are well educated, intelligent, don't like to settle for less, not scared of huge accomplishments, always find a way to make it happen, very creative in many ways, have sense of style, want nothing but the best and finally, always strive for more at all levels. Please, my friends, do not pay these haters any attention. They love Nigerians more than anything, infact on a regular basis, some of them enjoy presenting selves as Nigerians to get positive attention from various societies. Regardless of what may be going on in Nigeria or with Nigerians, none of them could touch Nigeria or Nigerians at any given time. I love Being a Nigerian; that's all I know how to be; I'm very privileged to be one and proud of it. Pretty soon, folks from all over the world will be craving and begging to live in Nigeria. May God bless Nigeria. |
@ADCONLINE: Yes, I feel you. I've noticed that myself too, when a posted topic doesn't give uncivilized folks a chance to display their contemptuous rudeness character, they usually don't bother to touch the subject. Why? This is because some folks are very shallow and allergic to using their common sense effectively. It is difficult for this peculiar group of people to function well if there isn't reason to be disrespectful. They usually shy away from interesting topics. They remind me of this adage, that states: "When the cage is clean the pigs normally get bored, get sick and die". Believe it or not, these folks know who they are! Back to the topic: We've heard and seen OBJ's administration advocating anti corruption crusade. May be now is the time to ask BABA himself to present us with his assets declaration forms for 1999 and 2003. It will only be fair and decent to be known openly that OBJ does what he preaches. |
Feel free to open up a topic for IBB's declaration forms; this topic is posted for OBJ's forms. |
