What is your point? |
This is one of my reasons why I've refused to listen to this hopeless, dirty and greedy administration. They are sloppy and extremely unprofessional. It is so sad that this administration continues to brainwash Nigerians that they are fighting corruption. How can a dirty man judge a Garbage man? Impossible! EFCC: I will start respecting EFCC as soon as OBJ is heavily probed. Imagine Atiku getting the same opportunity to develop his own EFCC to investigate OBJ? what will happen? |
The issue with Nigerian Electricity distribution should be resolved, by using the same strategy that was implemented few years ago to develop our Telecommunication. Telecommunication in Nigeria today continues to be more reliable year after year; most people can now reach their families in the village at any time. It is a great accomplishment. This is one of the advantages of privatization in Nigeria. A smart president will study and follow the same steps. |
You never know, and I will not be surprised if the current administration has something to do with this mess. |
As we all know, it is very imperative for the next president not to follow the foot steps of the previous leaders. If our country will be back to the top, this next president will have to be on top of his game and be ready to play a major part. My advise for the next Nigerian president: He should introduce “the new beginning, the new Nigeria ” And his first move should be confidentially cracking a deal with all the former/ current leaders, all politicians and all top government officials. The content of the deal should be: Encouraging all government money looters to give up some of the looted funds. Politically disabling all former leaders. And Introduction of national forgiveness It may sound ridiculous, but believe me, this is the only way we can move forward and be productive faster as a nation. The damage is done and it was done by many, may be too many; and we will be wasting time, energy and resources to find and prosecute all these folks. Furthermore, we can never move forward if we continue to look back. This is the time, let’s make the changes and move forward together. Believe me, it will be difficult, but it could be done. He should also implement new strict corruption law that will hold any corrupt individual accountable under any circumstances. [b]He should spend more or make citizens security the number one priority. A nation with no security for her citizens is like a bird with disabled wings. In most cases, a bird with disabled wings will suffer and eventually will die. [b]He should introduce Quarterly Assessment Process: Together all Governors must meet with newly developed committee to present new development in their states, future development, evaluate budget dispersal process in each state and forecast the next major accomplishment. Moreover, an authenticated Governor Award should been given out every year to the most effective/ efficient governor. And Federal Government should make a big deal out of this award; in-fact, this award should be part of the requirements to be a qualified candidate for presidential position. He should re-introduce this policy: Under all circumstances, all government officials and their families must utilize Nigerian education (schools) and medical (hospital) resources. This will only strengthen our resources, by forcing the people that control these resources and their families to utilize them (believe me; these resources will be properly distributed once top government officials and their families start to use them). He should also re-introduce privatization that is encircled with strict conditions or laws: This will only motivate or encourage investors from everywhere to contribute heavily and positively toward the restructuring of our nation. I’m pretty sure there are many more, hence list yours or criticize/ support the ones that have already been listed. You just never know who is reading. |
FYI: @MAMAJAMA: Arrogance, pride, sensitivity, integrity, dedication, determination, kindness, respect and mistakes make a great leader. Think about it. |
I do not know why you continue to refer to IBB as my father. This is far from the truth. |
@MAMAJAMA: By the way, I've noticed that you've spent almost too much time bashing IBB day after day; something tells me that you might indirectly admire this man, but too scared to admit it. I've heard and seen many (big wigs or regular Nigerians) that claim IBB to be a devil, but when they see the man they start to dance. Are you one of these folks? |
Have you noticed that out of all the leaders or previous leaders, IBB is the only one who is bold enough to be willing to come and correct things. It is a message and people need to start realizing this message. When someone is willing to come back to correct things; it means this individual knows and understands his mistakes. It also means this individual is willing to redeem himself, which is the same as wanting to repent. The most effective and efficient way to do this is by being in control; it may sound ridiculous, but if you understand politics you will understand this strategy. This man is focused and has a surprise for Nigeria. I'm sure, whether he becomes the next president or not, he will find a suitable way to accomplish his goals (returning Nigeria back to the top). May God bless Nigeria. |
It is amusing how folks in general blame IBB for their personal failure. This reminds me of a black man in America, blaming white man for everything. IBB has been out of the picture for over 10 years and nothing has changed; you mean we do not have anyone out there who is competent enough to make things happen within these 10 years? it's unbelievable. IBB is not as bad as you people portrait him to be; infact he's still one of the best leaders available today in Nigeria. Yes, he made few mistakes and he's ready to correct them. He's an honest man with great intention for Nigeria. I can assure you that even if he happens not to be the next president, he will still find a way to redeem himself by contributing heavily toward developing our nation and returning it back to the top. Let's simmer down and allow GOD to do the judging. May God bless Nigeria. |
@ladyT: What is your point? Just because I support IBB doesn't mean I do not have common sense. FYI: I have my reasons for supporting IBB; and I still think, at this point in Nigeria, he's the most effective and efficient presidential candidate available. @McKren: In regards to your comment about IBB and French government : It is clear that you do not understand politics; hence continue to ready the Nigerian newspaper. |
@McKren: There is absolutely nothing bad in recommending or supporting a sensible strategy that will produce a successful election outcome. But how can you support "getting FBI and other international agencies involved in stopping corrupt Nigerian politicians from contesting; but you're totally against introducing a neutral body to assist us during the coming election"? This is unreasonable way of thinking; it is totally stupid and senseless. To me, the 2 steps are similar in everyway; the end result is totally the same. But the problem here is the fact that one of the 2 steps is introduced by OBJ, while Atiku introduces the other. It is sad that, instead of us to focus unitedly on what will be effective to move our nation forward, the dead heads continue to pick sides among these 2 men (OBJ and Atiku). If we continue to think or do things this way, Nigeria, as a country will never never progress. It is time to look past these 2 folks and focus on what will truly provide security to the citizens and establish a bright future for our nation. Ghana, South Africa and even Kenya are starting to leave us behind. We need to join hands and wake up fast. Trust me, stopping corrupt politicians will never never solve our problems; as we all know, there are numbers of saint politicians (Politicians with excellent record) who can not wait to have their chance to follow the same foot steps of the previous leaders. Hence, nothing is guarantee, but our number one priority should be implementing security strategy to prevent innocent citizens from being the election casualties and protect the future of our nation. Conclusion: Definitely, we should get assistance from FBI and other international agents to stop corrupt Nigerians from contesting the April election and we should also get the same assistance to play a part during the election process. It is not about Atiku or OBJ; these strategies will only protect the future of our land. |
@Seun: No If these "corrupt Nigerians" were all prosecuted and convicted, there wouldn't be anyone left to contest. They are all corrupt; and that is the problem. |
I have nothing against this move. It will definitely help our nation. But my problem is with Mkren Mr Mckren: Could you please let us know the different between inviting a neutral body to assist us during the coming presidential election and inviting FBI and other international help to stop corrupt Nigerians from contesting the April election? I will reserve my comment till I hear from you. |
OBJ represents total failure and an extremely bad example of a leader. My questions are: 1.Who approved this loan for OBJ? 2.What is the different between OBJ's loan and loan by Atiku to his friends? 3.Has OBJ paid back any of these loans and what is the persentage of the interest? 4. When was the loan taken and when is it scheduled to be paid back in full? |
It is confirmed that Atiku has requested OBJ to present his business strategy, the one he used to turn a 20,000 Naira business into a vast empire with-in 8 years. I think this request is serious and it will be fair for Nigerians to know. |
Fact: The school is not designed for just only 157 students. The 157 students represent the first set. The school is expandable and it will eventually be developed into a full blown educational institution; may be the best of it's kind. The next set of students will be introduced sometimes this year. Hence the implementation of Oprah Winfield's strategy is an excellent one and we should all embrace her generosity, sincerity and kindness. Sorry for my ignorance. |
@Stranger12: One of the reasons why the 1993 election was so successful and still the most credible election that ever took place in Nigeria till today, was the fact that United States representatives played a major part before and during the process. It is clear and simple that Nigerians and Nigeria as a nation will never be successful in many ways if a neutral body (to monitor and coordinate the coming election) is not immediately introduced. We should be smart, we shouldn't allow ego, pride and ignorance to jeopardize the security of the citizens and the future of our country. |
@EASYY: You need to read the topic and the subject of this discussion. The topic has nothing to do with IBB or Big B1. It will be civilized to focus on the topic. We all know how I feel and there is absolutely no need to divert from the main issue. We shall go back to IBB's mission and vision profoundly when the time is right. For now, let's stay focused on Atiku and his estrange boss. I can assure you that my love for sweet Nigeria is ineffable; trust me, you do not care about this country as much as I do. If you think deeply, you will quickly realize that my recommendation to give IBB a chance to redeem himself is bright and sincere. Believe me, we will return back to IBB and his incredible ambition. |
@MAMAJAMA: You really do not need a degree to figure this out. The man is a dirty thug, who capitalizes on this type of strategy during every election. |
Nigerians are labelled as being crooks, while Nigeria as a nation is being labelled as being unstable, uncivilized and very dangerous. Let's face the fact, Nigeria at the moment is not enticing or attractive enough to pull any positive attention. We need to get our shiiiit together first, before pointing fingers at the celebrities. By the way, @MAMAJAMA; you do not need to be a celebrity to contribute towards developing your country; believe me, you can make it happen from out there in Chitown. |
Speaking of celebrities coming to Nigeria to perform wonder. Don't you guys think that people in general are starting to stay away from Nigeria little by little. Lately, even Ghana and Kenya are starting to get more positive or constructive attention much more than Nigeria, in-terms of tourism and foreign investors. Nigerians are labelled as being crooks, while Nigeria as a country is being labelled as uncivilized, unstable and dangerous. It's time to get our shiiiiiit together, folks. Imagine Oprah coming to implement the same idea in Nigeria? I wonder what would have happened to the 40m? |
@LadyT: Please calm down. You're a lady and let's leave it that way. I do not like to insult a lady, please do not insult me. Thank you very much and go back to the kitchen. |
Back to the topic. Nigerians and Nigeria as a nation are not ready to handle this coming election without getting a neutral body involved. |
I'm trying my best to calm down, but you folks continue to stick me. Do you really think OBJ stopped IBB in any way? If your answer is yes, then you're a lost soul. Very very soon OBJ will be running back to IBB like a little baby. IBB is the only sincere friend that OBJ has at the moment; FYI, if not for IBB, trust me, there is not OBJ. Guys, just chill and let's focus on Atiku for now. |
@LADYT: What's up with the curve balls? |
@MKREN: If you get the chance and get to know this man for a moment, believe me, you will have no choice but to fall in love. He's very loving, very funny, full of wisdom, very focused, very playful, but very serious as well and his intentions are bright and sincere. Unlike the bulldozer (OBJ), I call him Mr sloppiness. You can never compare the man to any of these clowns. I wish Nigerians wake up on time and see the light before is too late. The man is here to correct things and return Nigeria as a nation back on top for- ever. His next action will be disclosed very soon. |
Regardless of the situation, a true leader doesn't quit. Trial and tribulation is part of the game. As a politician and a leader, one should be totally equipped to deal with haters, losers, hopeless people and other numbers of obstacles. I truly admire Mr Atiku's boldness and strength to deal with the dead heads. |
@Mkren: IBB; damn, don't get me started. Look out, very soon I will be coming out with the true Identity of the man himself, IBB. The man, his quality as a man, a friend, a family man, honest man, his sensational style, state of mind, leadership skill, his firmness, spirituality and his dedication to his country. My man, you can never never compare IBB to any of these leaders (clowns). Believe it or not, they all look up to him. He is a champion at any time and at any day. |
