SEUN: I see your point, but you're taking this to a different direction. Look at a soccer team for an example, in order for the team to accomplish it's goal, all the players must be willing to contribute, work together and sacrifice personal agendas. Is the same concept. The team will usually disarray as soon as the players start focusing on what they can get from the team instead of doing what it takes to get the objective accomplished together. Imagine, two players playing for endorsement, 5 playing to advertise their skill to other teams scouts, 3 playing just for the old time sake and only 2 playing to win championship for the team. Team like this will never be successfull. NOTE: Players are the citizens, including the leaders Team is the country (Nigeria) I hope you see my point. We must contribute, we must sacrifice and we must work together as one in order for our lovely country to move forward. Talking about what Ojukwu or Bush has done will be looking back; and when we look back, moving forward will be difficult. Let's emulate good examples from other incredible leaders and try to move forward effectively |
Anything is possible in this society. The same retired military big wigs could indirectly support the current active folks and make this possible in a matter of weeks. Let's face the fact, the current administration continues to invite the military regime by their mismanagement actions (corruption from the top to the bottom and constant degrading of the law). And if this coup takes place, as citizens of Nigeria, we wouldn't be able to do anything about it because the military folks will have enough substantial reasons for their action. Think about it. |
SEUN: In order for Nigeria as a country to move forward effectively, the people, the citizens (including all the leaders) must be willing to sacrifice their desires/ positions and also be willing to contribute positively toward the reformation of the country. Without this state of mind, we will be wasting our time. |
You guys must be very careful, the same law that is being abused might affect every one of us in the long run. This is democracy and we must respect the law, period. Abuse or degrading of the law should not be tolerated under any circumstances; and trust me, this is the only way to move a country forward effectively. |
I smell it coming. The current administration continue to give military regime legitimate reasons to come back and take over. |
I smell the return of the military regime. Mark my word, folks. |
Stop asking what your country can do for you and ask yourself, what can you do for your country. by JFK 1960s |

TayoD: Excellent state of mind. You're touching the truth that is currently invisible to many Nigerians. It is always smart to be proactive when you truly care about the future of a country. Democracy should be embraced at all levels all the time. I truly admire EFCC; the only problem I have with them is violating or disregarding human rights and not respecting the law of democracy. EFCC will be on top of their game if only they pay attention to these deficiencies. FYI: Wole Shoyinka represents one of the honorary, loyal, reliable, pure honest Nigerians left. Hence let's be careful when we talk about this man. |
It's either you're very young and still have a lot to learn or you just don't have it, period. I'm done and out. Good luck, my friend. |
ODEKU: I'm done discussing this topic with you. It seems that you just continue to go on and on in a circle; your premise is cloudy and has no stamina; this is because you really don't take the time to understand one's comment before replying. You are starting to give me headache and I can't take it anymore. You are my man at any time and I wish you well with everything. One love. |
ODEKU: Don't listen to people, you are smart enough to continue to do your research. Driving cab was when he was in school and it's was by choice. Selling radio was when he first returned back to Nigeria. He was also involved in many other successful business ventures before the rise of IBB. Trust me, this man has been a serious business man probably before you were born. How many people in your family became millionaires at the age of 26 years? It seems to me that you have personal issue with this cat; you need to stop hating and get yourself together, because haters never never prosper. Note: Show some home training, you need to stop calling him a fool; he's probably older than your father. |
But thanks for the link, most of the content is correct. |
Dude, I'm starting to believe that you can not read. Are you ok? Did you read the story in the link you've posted? I truly believe that couple of screws are missing in your head. It's amusing how you want to be involved and how much you want to contribute, but you just don't have what it takes. Day after day, you continue to prove it. Please let it go and allow others who are informed and purely competent to discuss these topics. |
or should I say you escaped long time ago? |
I will not answer that question, I will allow others to answer you. But I could tell that you've been gone for a very long time ago. |
Lack of effective leadership and the embracement of materialism state of mind, in our society. |
What do you think about this organization and will you change anything if you get the chance? |
Baba is a born again xtian. What an insult to the xtians. |
Kalu blasts OBJ - Says president is corrupt By OLAWALE RASHEED - 13.10.2006 Friday, October 13, 2006 GOVERNOR Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia State has levelled fresh corruption allegations against President Olusegun Obasanjo, declaring that the president was not competent to pursue the anti-corruption war. advertisement Speaking at a news briefing in Lagos, the governor accused the president of using fronts to acquire wealth while in office in contravention of the Constitution. He specifically alleged that the president owned 51 per cent shares of Transcorp a business organisation which he said had been buying up major public enterprises. Transcorp, he said, had five oil blocks in addition to the purchase of NICON Hilton Hotel, Abuja and NITEL against the preferred bidder, Globacom. He also alleged that the president had majority shares in five of the 25 consolidated banks, questioning where the president got the money for such investment. Kalu further questioned the president over where he got the money for Bell University and what he called the multi-billion naira renovation of Obasanjo Farm. Reminded that the president had been making profit in recent times, Kalu debunked that suggestion, insisting that in 1999, the Obasanjo Farm was already on the verge of bankruptcy. He repeated all his previous corruption allegations against the president, accusing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of failing to probe the president and bring him to book. Reminded that he (Kalu) needed to provide evidence of corruption against the president to the EFCC, the Abia State governor said the existence of Bell University and Obasanjo Farm were enough evidence for Ribadu and his men to act upon. “I stand by all the allegations I levelled against the president and at the right time, we will speak more on them,” he said. |

ODEKU: I could just tell that it has been a long time away from home for you. I'm not sure if you still understand how things run at home, but I respect your move and you have the right to do what ever you want to stop IBB; I also hope that you will not be wasting your time; you know how difficult it is to get that "2 weeks vacation" out there in Chi Town? It's up to you, what ever makes you happy. We will be waiting for you, my friend. |
We shall see. |
Dude: My soul is not for sale and will never never be. |
It will be better for me not to comment on this topic; but I can clearly see or tell that many many folks truly do not understand many many things. And it is sad, because they think they do, but they absolutely have no clue. |
Hey, ODEKU: This is not new to anybody anymore; we all know that IBB has done wrong in the past like everyone of us, we also know that he's determined to come back to redeem himself and it is up to God, Nigerian people and Nigerian law to determine whether his new ambition is accomplished or not. Let us stay focused, let us pray together for peace in Nigeria, let us be smart, let us be fair and let us cast our votes for the the most competent candidate. May God continue to bless our lovely motherland, Nigeria. |
I can't wait to see it. |
I think for now, it is fair to allow frenchman to school you while I wait and watch. Be careful, Frenchman hits hard. |
I guess, Frenchman hit the spot. It is true that "truth is extremely difficult to handle" Bravo to you Frenchman |
Buchio: I understand your point and I truly respect your view; but we haven't heard anything from this man (mike Adenuga) regarding his side of the story and why he made this move. The only information you guys are working with are coming directly from his opponents or enemies. What do you expect? With all his accomplishment and dedication to develop our country, I think he deserves to be given a chance to present his side of the story at the right time. Don't rush into any conclusion, there are many things we do not know. Let us be patient and I can assure you that you will hear from him when the time is right. I wish him the best and I hope he doesn't lose his high positive spirit in investing heavily in Nigeria. May God bless Nigeria. |
ODEKU: First of all, the link you've provided is not EFCC website as you've mentioned in one of your baseless comments. Secondly, Nigeriaworld.com happens to be one of the millions websites that relies or depends on other news source from Nigeria. Don't get me wrong, the website is great and a wonderful idea, bravo to the Nigerian world organization. But the information is still from thesame source. It seems to me that we are experiencing thesame old stories ( travelling in a circle way of thinking). Thirdly, this is an article written by someone like ourselves. The information is just how this individual sees things and doesn't speak for all. Finally, why am I wasting my time responding to you? I forgot that It's just ODEKU at his best and one shouldn't expect much. |
Frenchman: Excellent comment. Where have you been all these days? I truly admire your intellectual input on this issue. |
