To be honest with you, I do not like to discuss things that I'm not familiar with. I truly do not know much about these folks (Utomi and Mike Ahigbe), hence it will be unfair for me to open that pot. But I know Mr. Marwa as an intelligent and experienced individual. He's clean and has potential. It shouldn't matter whether the candidate is yoruba, igbo or Hausa; but there is a group of people in this room that are very desperate to elect one of their kind into the office. And that is not right. We can not move forward with that kind of mentality. |
lol Really? |
Nice site. it's very elegant. |
I don't know why people are so scared of this topic. I mean, the man is decent and popular; even popular much more than DUKE or ODILLI. But for some reasons people refuse to touch this subject. I wonder why? Could it be because Mr. Marwa is not from South or South South? |
ODEKU: you should know by now that kissing ass is not my style. Trust me, the recognition of the quality, value and magnitude of Nairaland is sincere. It's purely from my heart. People in general cry when things are not going their way, but forget to give recognition when things are going smoothly. I refuse to be part of this group. It is what it is, just take it like it is. May God bless Nigeria. |
Yes, I have beef with Seun, no doubt about it. But the fact remains intact. When I look at Nairaland Mansion, I see knowledge, intellectuality, unity, bright idea and progressiveness. No matter what, in my eyes Nairaland is magnificent and has my full sincere support. Thanks for the opportunity to express self and to share knowledge with others. May God Bless Nigeria. |
IYKE-D: I agree; if you have a point, express it. But don't come here calling people out. You give respect to get respect, my friend. |
Solid Point. I've decided not to waste my time with IYKE-D. He crashed into the room earlier today like a zombie, making all kinds of senseless noise. I've advised him to go listen to himself first before coming back here. He truly sounded like a sick lost dog. Gash! I hate uncivilized folks. If you truly care so much about moving Nigeria forward, you would have addressed the credibility of a great nation being damaged day after day by this current leadership. It is ridiculous and totally unacceptable. And believe me, I have my personal reasons for supporting IBB. I'm proud it and I will continue to do so till I discover a stronger candidate, who is ready to battle these challenges like a true leader (not like a boy scout). May God bless Nigeria. |
Don't get it twisted, I will support any candidate that shows strength and determination of a true leader. |
Solid point. |
This topic has been posted for more than 18 hours and only one comment has been posted. What is going on here? Are we all retarded or what? I smell fish with this Igbo people's nation movement. I knew from day one that all these Mr Duke and Mr Odilli's noise makers or followers or supporters do not truly care about moving the nation forward. All they care about is the delinquent and neglectful goal of their tribe. And these folks are determined to use IBB excuse to drive people toward voting one of their kind in to the office. Nigeria as a country will never never move forward if this is the case. Should we compare Brigadier general Buba Marwa to one of these candidates or what? May God bless Nigeria. |
IYKE-D: you need to calm down. Your comment is pointless; you're not focused at-all, you're all over the place and it will be a mere waste of time for someone to respond. Hey, I've told you before, if you think there is nothing wrong with the current situation in Nigeria, it's not a big deal. Just stick to what you believe and vote for choice. I have my reasons for supporting IBB and till I discover a stronger candidate, my choice remains the same. It's plain and simple. Hence we all have rights to do what ever we think is right move our great nation forward, but you need to slow down and stop suffocating the room. Loud people are usually not productive. Instead of picking fight and calling people out, You need to focus on your points and express them clearly. May God bless Nigeria. |
IYKE-D: You sound like a loud frustrated wisenheimer. You need to calm down, believe me. Do you have any candidate proposition for me? |
IYKE-D: Calm down, it's not that serious. |
EYKE-D: It is clear that couple of major points are missing from the information you're getting regarding the presidential jet; may be it's time to start seeking else where for reliable information, instead of waiting for BBC. Never the less, no need to wast time on this issue, we all have right to believe what ever we want. If you can not see anything wrong with the current situation, not a big deal. Good luck. |
Good point. |
This is one of my reasons why I find it very difficult to fully support people like Mr. Duke as the next president. Nigeria is a country that is extremely difficult to rule. There are too many issues and powerful fusty minded people to deal with; it is an unstructured heavy duty. An experienced leader is needed. You've got to be tough mentally and highly respected by majority; if not, you will be pushed around like a Nigerian defective taxi till you die. My reason for supporting IBB will be released soon. |
ODEKU: I truly do not know how to reply to your comment because you clearly do not get it. But I will try my best. Let me finish my Monday conference call first. I will be back. |
I wonder why no one is talking about this cat? He seems to be intellegent, sincere, experienced, articulate and pretty much focused. I don't know too much about him, but I like his style and I think he has potential. What do you think? |

OTOKX: why do you want to see my face? Are you looking for a partner? |
Reason for the timing of the Presidential jet allegation? Believe it or not, the timing is very sincere. America embraces integrity and professionalism, unlike the mighty EFCC. They do not conclude unless there are numbers of solid evidences. That is just the way things are done there; and please do not bring up the Iraq war. The investigation took many years to conclude because the allegation has a-lot to do with the number one man fo our nation. In short, the investigation was genuinely done. |
The presidential jet allegation is worst than ALAMS jumping bail in England and I don't understand why people can not see this; it is atrocious in every way. There is nothing more damaging than our presidential jet being under investigation for corruption. How low could we go?It is a big blow to our credibility, believe me people. For many years, I refuse to travel with my Nigerian passport. why? why? why? I remember back in the days when being a Nigerian was privilage and a wonderful thing. What happened to those days? A country where 99% of the governors are looking for a suitable way to abscond after their term. A country where 99% of the population is walking around with corrupted mind. A country where the main objective of every single political candidate is to get in the office and enrich self (including Duke and the other proclaimed saint aspirants) A country where education for the children has completely stopped. A country where proverty is an accepted way of life. My Reasons for supporting IBB will be released soon. |
ODEKU: You got it wrong. I know you do not know me well, but I'm a man of integrity. I stand for nonpartisanship, I've fought vigorously for the poor and the under dogs. I plan to do this for the rest of my life. I've been very closed to politics and media arena. I understand how powerful and deadly these elements could be, this why I've refused to be controlled by any entity. I have my own mind and I have access to credible or reliable source. Politics is a game that is understood by only professionals. You've got to be bright to see clearly through the fog that is being thrown at us on a daily basis. I support long term competent solutions; not a short cut strategy, which has been Nigerian specialization for many many years. Problem must be cut from the root not the branch. I refuse to see thing any other way. How could you be fighting corruption effectively in Nigeria when the presidential jet is flying around the world moving money to benefit an entity that is directly related to the president? It is purely impossible. From my own point of view, this presidential jet allegation is the most important allegation so far in Nigeria and It should be the top priority for the EFCC to unravel the issue immediately without any hesitation. It makes absolutely no sense to continue to impeach governors when there are tons of dirty serious allegations being attached left and right to the number one man. What happens to the adage that states "we should live by the examples of the leaders"? My reasons for supporting IBB will be released soon. May God bless Nigeria. |
Bravo Bravo Bravo. At the moment I will not label anybody, but if Mr. Dariye is guilty of any of the charges, then I fully support bringing him to justice. Do you guys have any information regarding the money laundering presidential jet? I wonder if anything is being done about it. |
So far IBB has my vote. He has no reason to fail while others have thousands of reasons to fail. Nigeria is crumbling, we do not have time for a leader trainee. We need improvement right away. The only person that can make that happen is IBB. You will see improve in less than 5 months. He's determined, focused, and ready to make things right by doing what it right. It will take at least 6 years plus for others to learn and understand the system. Failure, corruption, incompetency will all be rectified. |
Henry I totally feel you and I see your point. Mr Duke is a fine man, but I can not see the fire, the desire and the determination of a leader. He definitely needs time to develop. It is simple, I rather be led by the evil I know rather than a toothless boy scout. I'm still learning more and more everyday about Mr. Duke and I'm impressed, I must admit. But my main man still happens to be IBB. He's stronger, experienced, intelligent, determined, focused and has no reason to fail. I will give him a chance to redeem himself. I see a better Nigeria around the corner. May God bless Nigeria. |
In my country, majority carries the vote. Calm down folks, there is no need to get out of control as yet. Save it for later. Mark it down, we are all going to jubilate together come 2007. May God bless Nigeria. |
We will all jubilate come 2007. May Good bless Nigeria. |
Mariory Blackness aka desperate house wife. Why do you want to do this again with me? You've tried this many times and you've been totally unsuccessful. I thought by now you should have known better who to pick on. It is democracy in my country, which means we all have right to select who ever we desire to be our next president. As you know my mind is wide open; I will not hesitate to change my selection if I discover a stronger candidate, but for now IBB is my man. He will take us there effectively and competently. Moreover he has absolutely no reason to fail, while the others have many reasons. My friend Revolution is currently working with me and I'm learning a-lot. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? But for you to show up today with your FAT round black/purple face to pick on me is unnecessary and uncivilized. You need to chill out and find yourself a new man, because Emeka's father isn't coming back home; and obviously you and I do not have chemistry. So get off my back, I'm not your husband and will never be. FYI People, MARIORY is a woman, even though her profile says male, trust me. |
Dude in your dream, you're not even qualified to manage a McDonald's Restaurant (managing couple tenagers flipping burgers). You need to slow down and stop insulting Nigerians in general. |
REVOLUTION:I see your points and understand your state of mind. You are sensible and very knowledgeable; unlike my man, ODEKU who is allergic to using common sense at all levels during discussion. Now, as much as I want to buy what Mr Duke is selling, I need more information regarding his capability and stamina. Could you help? You seem to have access to credible information. Please exclude the fact that cross river happens to be a clean state and Mr Duke dresses appropriate for the next Nigerian president. Those factors mean nothing to me. I need tangible factors. I look forward to reading your comments. |
