CYLI PDP.... Nice one
Politics / Leadership Failure Responsible For Our Defeat In Ondo – PDP Youths by bigboluet(m): 1:54pm On Mar 24
The youth wing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state said the leadership of the party in the state largely responsible for the failure of the party at the just concluded presidential election of February 25.

The youths under the aegis of Council of Young Leaders in Peoples Democratic Party (CYLI-PDP) said the internal crisis within the party in the state led to the poor performance of the party in the Presidential election and the House of Assembly election in the state.

In a statement by the youth group, signed by its coordinator, Mr. Wande Ajayi, noted that the PDP as the main opposition party in the state has failed to challenge the recklessness of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Ajayi said the PDP under the present leadership in the state in the last two years has become an intrepid, weak, ineffectual and highly fragmented association of strange bedfellows, responsible for the failure of the party in the state.

He said: “The Council of Young Leaders in Peoples Democratic Party (CYLI-PDP) hereby expresses its deep sadness at the dismal and shameful performance of the Ondo state chapter of the party in the last Presidential, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.

“We are concerned that the PDP, which once served as the major opposition party to challenge the recklessness of the incumbent APC, has over the last two years become an intrepid, weak, ineffectual and highly fragmented association of strange bedfellows.

“We remain concerned that the state leadership has been unable to administer the party in such a way and manner as to achieve its primary purpose of winning elections.

“We have squandered our goodwill with the good people of Ondo state and have become a third-rated political party within a very short period of time.

“It is noteworthy to state, that the Ondo State PDP under it’s current leadership, has failed to improve over its successes in the 2019 national elections, but has fallen dramatically to a level where it now plays catch-up to other parties. Needless to say that the outcome of the last presidential election suffices as evidence”

The youth however, called on stakeholders at the state and national office of the party to come to the aid of the party in the state before the current leadership wreck the party in the state.

Ajayi warned that dismissing the issues and points raised by the PDP youths without looking into ways of resolving the crises will not only dangerous to the PDP but put the party in disarray in the state

“We would like to use this medium to call on critical stakeholders and the National Secretariat of the PDP, to consider immediate actions to help remedy the lack of clear purposeful and committed leadership we are saddled with currently in the Ondo state chapter.

“While we understand the need for a post mortem of the total failure of the party in the last elections, we must emphasize the need to have an immediate overhaul of the party machineries, to enable us ample time to deal with preparations for the forthcoming Gubernatorial elections in Ondo state.

“While not giving a deadline to those who have been found culpable in the dismal and disappointing performance of our party in the last election, we do advise that those who may be unwilling to yield the reins of leadership in the party to more competent and purposeful leadership, to consider their honor and concede to a rebuilding process for the party.

“Finally, while acknowledging the daunting task of rebuilding confidence amongst loyal party members ahead of party, we insist that the current leadership of the party should step aside and give room for an unbiased caretaker committee while investigations be conducted to ascertain allegations of culpability on their part in the loss we have all suffered” the statement said

North are wiser and they know how to play the game. You read Letter A online and see Letter Z on election day.

I won't be surprised when Atiku clears 98% of northern states.

Traditional rulers and Ex generals will do the work effectively.

I see ATIKU ABUBAKAR winning

This is the best time for wike to swallow his pride and act like a leader. Some of his followers are on the ballot, hence he should not use his "UNREALISTIC" agitation to implicate them.

Sooner or later, Kwankwaso will step down for ATIKU as the Northern Elders are already playing same card they did with Tambuwal doing the primaries.

Most of Kwankwaso followers have decamped and still decamping. The G5 are becoming like a dead lion.

I really want a better Nigeria and I will gladly VOTE ATIKU ABUBAKAR the PDP Candidate ahead of APC candidate.

Politics / Re: Wike: Suspension Of Ekiti EXCO Is Rubbish, Battleline Has Been Drawn by bigboluet(m): 7:20pm On Jan 21
Wike should announce another candidate and see if he won't be suspended. Wike loyalty to the party has been tested and he failed woefully. First time he lost an election in the party(primaries) and he turn himself to a beast. Assuming Atiku picked him as running mate will he insist that Ayu should at this critical stage.

I admire his achievements in rivers but because he's not on any ballot doesn't mean he should use his selfish interest to implicate his followers.

Politics / Miyetti Allah Endorses Atiku, Other PDP Candidates For 2023 by bigboluet(m): 11:34pm On Oct 20, 2022
As campaigns for the 2023 general elections continue to gain momentum, the Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has declared their support for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels.

Making their positions known in Sokoto, the state Chairman of MACBAN, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji Gabuwa Silame said their decision was premised on the failure of the APC led federal government.

Mahammadu Magaji who spoke through his deputy, Alhaji Umaru Abdullahi Wababe assured that they will mobilize their members across Sokoto and Nigeria to ensure victory for PDP candidates.

Wababe spoke during a brief ceremony to receive members of Miyatti Allah from Wurno Local Government Area, who defected from APC to the PDP.

Collaborating the position of Wababe, the Chairman of Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Wurno Local Government Chapter, Ardo Shehu Suleiman said they had previously voted APC out of ignorance, adding that they have realized their mistakes hence decamping to PDP in order to vote APC out of office.

A statement by the Publicity Secretary of Sokoto’s PDP, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal,
said the association further commended Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for his numerous people oriented projects and programmes.

Receiving the decampees, PDP state chairman, Hon. Bello Aliyu Goronyo, assured them of equal treatment.

The state PDP chairman further appealed to Miyetti Allah members to use their wealth of experience and embark on door-to- door campaigns towards ensuring that all the Fulani herdsmen and women vote for PDP candidates at all levels.

Dignitaries, who also witnessed the defection in Sokoto include, Commissioner of Commerce and Industries, Alhaji Bashir Gidado, Wurno Local government Council Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Arzika and PDP Chairman Wurno Local Government, Hon. Yusuf Marafa Wurno, among others.

Press Statement

You’re Dazed by Atiku Abubakar’s Popularity-PDP Replies Tinubu

… Insists APC Presidential Candidate Not Eligible to Contest Election

Nigerians were again appalled and sickened by the lack of depth being exhibited by the embattled Presidential Candidate of the tottering All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as reflected in his recent utterances against other political parties.

While Asiwaju Tinubu has proven to Nigerians that he is incapable of serious Presidential discourse, it is nevertheless disgraceful that the APC Presidential Candidate, who is facing multiple legitimacy and disqualification issues, is displaying such vacuity in the public domain.

For emphasis, the PDP is a serious political Party campaigning on issues and we have refrained from commenting on the many personal, health, academic, ancestry and corruption issues challenging the APC Presidential Candidate.

Apparently, dazed by the resounding presentation of the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar at the hugely successful flag-off of our Presidential Campaign in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, on Monday, October 10, 2022, Asiwaju Tinubu has become disoriented to the extent that he can no longer articulate or engage in any productive and focused political discourse.

If there is any Party that can be described as a “termite party” of course it will not be the PDP which is fully “ARTICULATED” and soaring with its campaign but the doomed APC that is crawling, having become legally crippled and no longer a legitimate and valid vehicle to field candidates in the 2023 general elections.

This explains why the APC cannot constitute a Presidential Campaign Council, let alone flagging off its campaign.

Though the APC Presidential Candidate has demeaned himself before Nigerians, the PDP as a decorous Party will still refrain from commenting on the issues of his personal health and alleged unwholesome addictions for which he has become a butt of public joke.

Since he procured the APC ticket, the APC Presidential Candidate has not made any meaningful comment or contribution to serious national issues, instead he has been engaging in illogical, incoherent and fatuous utterances.

Our Party cautions Asiwaju Tinubu to advice himself, guard his utterances, face his many legitimacy and disqualification issues and stop making himself an object of public ridicule.

What is expected of Asiwaju is to apologize to the nation for the woes and suffering brought upon Nigerians by the misrule of the APC which he helped to install and for which Nigerians hold him personally responsible.

The APC Presidential Candidate should come to terms with the fact that Nigerians have moved on with the PDP and Atiku Abubakar as their next President given Atiku Abubakar’s established focus, integrity, experience, capacity and readiness to lead the mission to Rescue and Rebuild Nigeria from the monumental failures and misery that the APC represents.
