Politics / Anti-party: APC Hammer To Fall On Okorocha, Okafor, Others —uzodinma by bigboluet(m): 12:38am On Dec 19, 2018
There are fears that the All Progressives Congress, APC, sledgehammer will soon fall on Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, as well as the member representing Okigwe South federal constituency, Deacon Chike Okafor and the Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Mr. Ugonna Ozuruigbo, over their alleged anti-party activities.

Feelers for the impending sanction emerged after a crucial meeting of APC candidates led by the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma. Senator Hope Uzodimma Other high profile party leaders, including the incumbent Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, and some members of the APC Coalition Forces, attended the meeting in the new State Secretariat of the party.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Senator Uzodinma expressed surprise over the attitude of some of the candidates, who rather than focus and work along with the party, are busy working for another party. “This is not just a mere anti-party activity, but an unpardonable action punishable by the extant laws of the party administration”, Uzodinma said.

He assured party loyalists that those playing such politics would become victims of expulsion, even as he described their actions as “dangerously against the goals of the party”. Senator Uzodinma commended his compatriots for their committment and resilience towards retrieving the party from Governor Okorocha, who he alleged “was on the verge of turning the party to a family business”.

While saying that the party had long produced a candidate to contest 2019 governorship election, Uzodinma wondered why few persons were yet to come to terms with the reality and work in unison with members to deliver the party at the 2019 general elections

“Those who are yet to come to terms with the reality that APC now has a gubernatorial candidate in the state, may sadly become victims of change”, Senator Uzodinma said.

He called on all and sundry to join hands for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, revealing that “most leaders of the South East have keyed into this project for his sincerity of purpose in the Nigerian project and wholistic re-integration of South East and Ndigbo”.

Speaking also, the Deputy Governor called on the party faithful to close ranks to deliver APC at all levels, including the re-election of President Buhari who he described as “a considerate and passionate leader, whose actions for the country have been wholly patriotic”.

He also assured the party faithful of restoration of their lost dignity when Senator Uzodinma emerges as the governor of the state.

Madumere also assured civil servants of returning the service to its former glory, “while the retirees will surely heeve a sign of relief”

Politics / School Feeding Programme Collapses In Akwa Ibom by bigboluet(m): 12:15am On Dec 19, 2018
Federal Government’s school feeding programme has run into hitches in Akwa Ibom State as the children have not been fed this term following the non-release of funds to the vendors.

Vanguard checks revealed that of the 1,160 primary schools in the oil rich state, only 600 schools were captured in the programme which has suffered several set backs in the past in the state.

It was gathered that of the four components of the programme, only two, namely N-power and the school feeding programme were operational in the state, but the state govern-ment is working hard to ensure the remaining two components are implemen-ted so that the pupils could benefit from them. A teacher at QIC Primary School, Afaha Itam in Itu Local Government Area of the state, who spoke on condition of anonymity said: “The vendor only came for two weeks and after that she didn’t come again. The children have not been fed and when we asked her, she said she had not been given money.”

Contacted, the Akwa Ibom State Focal Person, Social Investment Programme, Dr. Godwin Akpan, confirmed that the state allocation has not be paid by Abuja for several months, a development he said had hampered the smooth operations of the school feeding programme in the state.

Akpan expressed dismay that Akwa Ibom children have been denied their fair share of the Federal Government’s social investment programme, despite the fact that the state government has done its part by providing the counterpart funding and tasked the authorities on why the programme was being implemented half-hardheartedly in the state.

Politics / VP Debate: Obi Insists On Statistical Data, Provides Sources by bigboluet(m): 1:37am On Dec 18, 2018
AWKA—Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Peter Obi has insisted that the statistical data he reeled out during the Saturday December 15 Vice Presidential debate were accurate, as he obtained them from competent sources. Peter Obi Obi has been greeted with outright criticism from some Nigerians, who claimed that most of the statistical data he reeled out during the debate were not correct and overblown in most cases. Obi’s Media Adviser, Mr. Valentine Obienyem, in a statement yesterday, called on Nigerians to disregard those going about debunking, as incorrect, the data used by the former Governor of Anambra State to support his points during the 2018 Vice Presidential debate. Obienyem said that engaging in what he called “statistical fallacy” was a mark of persons without honour and insisted that Obi did not do so during the debate as, “the sources of all the facts and statistics he put forward could easily be verified.”

In the statement made available to journalists, Obienyem itemised all the points that Obi made during the debate and gave the source of Obi’s data, which he challenged those doubting their authenticity to verify. Part of the statement read: “During the debate, Obi said that Nigeria used over 50% of her revenue to service debt. This can be verified from DMO’s 2017 reports on Nigeria’s debt stock and total debt service. Obi said the country’s total debt stock was N22.7 trillion, about USD80 billion. This can be verified from DMO’s June 2018 report on Nigeria’s debt stock. Obi said that Mexico’s GDP was over USD1 trillion and its GDP per capita was over USD8,000 This can be verified from World Bank report on: https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.MKTP.KD?locations=MX&view=chart). Obi said that South Africa’s stock market capitalization was USD900 billion. This can be verified from Stock Market Clock (https://www.stockmarketclock.com/exchanges/jse). Obi said that Nigerian bank loans is made up of 15% of GDP. This can be verified from the World Bank (source: https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/FD.AST.PRVT.GD.ZS?locations=NG&view=chart). Obi said that Nigeria had the highest number of the Poor at 87 million – growing by six persons per minute.

This can be verified from Brookings Institute publication, ‘The start of a new poverty narrative” published by Homi Kharas, Kristofer Hamel, and Martin Hofer on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 (source: https://www.brookings.edu/blog/future-development/2018/06/19/the-start-of-a-new-poverty-narrative/). Obi said that Nigeria’s Human Development Index (HDI) ranking moved from 152 – 157. This can be verified from http://hdr.undp.org/sites/default/files/2018_human_development_statistical_update.pdf ). Obi said that the Misery Index in Nigeria worsened. This can be verified from https://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/hankes-annual-misery-index-worlds-saddest-happiest-countries). Obi said that the FG budgeted N340 billion on health and paid over N1 trillion on PMS subsidy. Education budget was about N400 billion. This can be verified from https://punchng.com/subsidy-on-petrol-hits-n1-4tn-per-year-says-fg/. Obi said that the ease of doing business ranking was currently at 146. This can be verified from http://www.worldbank.org/content/dam/doingBusiness/media/Annual-Reports/English/DB2019-report_web-version.pdf).Obi said that China created 7.2 million jobs within first 6 months in 2018. Funniest part is that Daddy Freeze followers will take his word too serious that he will lead them astray. I remember he said he was paying his tithe while going against it in public... You see why Buhari called Nigerian youths lazy? Yeah because they always want to hear what will be pleasant to their ears and favour them.

God knows how to bless his Men... Even if the congregation pays him tithe or not.

Proverbs 18:16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

Irrespective of people tithe, oyedepo, adeboye and co will still be rich because of their anointing.

Who are the young people?

What have they done when they have the opportunity?

Dimeji Bankole was young as the speaker of the green chamber, He missed it

Now what is the young Yahya Bello doing in Kogi State?

The young generation that can't form a coalition successfully to takeover from the old. They form pact, after primary election when it didn't favor some, the likes of sowore, maghalu and other left.

Is that the young people that want you takeover?

Note: Freedom is not given by free will.
