Just keep in mind that those denied tourist visa, apparently cannot schedule another interview for same till 6 months time.

Yeah I have called UKVI and they said my passport has been sent to my VAC but TLS said they don't have it dat it might be with the embassy.

Perhaps your passport is in transit. But make a plan to visit both TLS and the Deputy/High Commission, if you consider it opportune.

Expotek and other gurus in the house I applied for a standard visitor visa (short stay) for my family I got 2 years visa my wife 6 months and the eco denied my daughter saying why affidavit why not Birth certificate now I want to reapply again next week so we can travel together. I need to know if I can submit my last bank statement of account dated May 22nd but We did our biometric on June 21st we got our passport back on July 11th . Do I have to print another bank statement or still submit the one I used ?? Pls help me out

I think you should reprint. (Perhaps only the May 22nd till date and add it to the previous one.) Make your application tight and clear. You probably would need to submit copy of your visa, especially if your daughter is a minor and you had applied for a trip with the family.

@gurus. If applying for his daughter now, would mean a different travel plan/dates from he previously submitted for himself and wife, will that affect the new application?

No, it is not compulsory. But it is very advisable, as you may need to demonstrate that you can support your trip at various points: plus, what happens if you inadvertently miss your connecting flight?

Make I follow join encourage you to reapply, pointing out the error. If you have something of the income/employment/business contracts that you didn't include before, you can consider including it, to demonstrate the N24m income further.

So I just got denied a B1/B2 visa under section 214(b) today when all my reasons for being in the US are legit.

I have a company induction to attend in the US fully sponsored by my company in the US and its for August 16. Flights and hotel accommodation is paid for already.

I also have to be in South Africa first week of August so I'm in a big fix.

I want to reapply for an emergency interview like I did for this appointment that got denied. Any pointers as to how to go about reapplying? Nd the earliest date available for an emergency appointment?

I was literally just asked what I'm going for and if I'm married and the next thing was denial..

1. I presently work with a multinational that isn't an entity in Nigeria but operate through a distributor here in Nigeria. I have been with them for 5 months. I get paid through the personal account of our HR head and I am not given payslips. My guess is this arrangement stands till I am confirmed.
How can I explain the lodgements in my account asides submitting my offer of employment signed by the same person ?
2. Does it suffice to show this nd explain the same through my statement of account?
In previous applications, I didn't have this issue and I fear this may affect my application adversely.

Gurus and experienced people pls weigh in on this.

From what you narrate above, it seems to me that you work with a Nigerian (person/company), though that person/company is a distributor for a multinational. My own opinion is that you add this job to the work you do (don't claim you work for a multinational unless you really do), and include the earnings among your income. Also, you can include breakdown of your earnings and how they reflect in your statement of account, in a cover note. ~My2Cents

He doesn't have any problem as long as he is a green card holder cos he has same privilege as citizen but tell him to not get into any trouble it might be revoked.
Moreso he can file for you to come over am in the state you can contact me in my mail if you have any questions to ask.

A quick question.
With the B1/B2 visa gotten/used for tourism, if the last trip was in May (one week stay), and the visa expires in July, how soon can I apply for a new visa?
(Thinking I could squeeze in another trip before cold autumn/winter, and wondering whether COs count the fact that I took an holiday so recently. Of course, planning to see another part of the country.)

Just reflecting on recent posts (and known applicants): Some people get their passports back in under 16 working days, others have no passport returned since March. I think that it is a gamble. If you want to submit today/tomorrow, you can try as a walk-in applicant (be ready to wait the whole day, but the VAC do attend to people in the end). There will be no assurance of return before the end of the month, except maybe if you are using priority/super-priority. One option is to wait until after you use your passport at the end of the month, before you apply for the UK. Other option is walk-in, use priority, if after a week no reply, start asking them to return your passport (you lose at most the visa fee and priority fee).

I and wifey got our visa in Dec. we were to travel to Miami for vacation; but something came up and we cldnt got. we want to go in a couple of months but we now want to visit NYC and not Miami any more. Would there be any issue at POE due to change of destination?

Also, I see more affordable flights to Newark. Does anyone have experience about their POE as against JFK?

Lastly, I heard Nigerians are advised to avoid JFK and NYC entirely cus they are turning people back, as they think they want to migrate to Canada. Is this true? abi make we divert back to Miami, our initial choice?

Ensure the flight itinerary does not go through Canada, unless you have a Canadian visa

It was all the Grace of God especially hearing about the trouble with itemised billing and proving that bills were not transferred to insurance or taxpayers. Neverthelesss, we went very prepared in terms of documentation.

My company wrote and faxed a letter to the embassy explaining the urgency but no reply. Considerably, the meeting was moved to mid June to accommodate my visa application with the hope I can get an earlier date. I was also advised to use agents and one agent even sent me a bill of 350k to assist with expedited date (She must have seen me as a maga). She has a good English accent and told me that she is in touch with their contacts at the embassy and they will get me a date before end of that week (bullocks!). Thankfully, I told her to get the date and I pay her. She couldn’t get me the date i am sure they sat on computers waiting for someone to cancel just like everyone else. I was blessed to get a date for early June along with my family (Same date, Same time). But I had to re-strategise if we are to be issued the visa as my reason has changed from tourism to business. So the question was should I ensure we are interviewed together or should we be interviewed separately? With the way those VO’s were vexing, there was no sure strategy because it appears their position on family vacation is dynamic.Dynamic in the sense that family vacation could be interpreted as you want to abscond to Canada since no strong ties left in Nigeria. And again going without her hubby could be an issue of why are you not vacationing together.This was therefore my dilemma and as such I had to re-strategize.

Just stick to the truth and make up your mind to be happy with whatever the outcome: that will help you to relax and have a comfortable interview. (Re: birthing. Take all the necessaries. Re-together: follow whatever dates you get; they have been families granted, there have been families part granted, part denied.) Cheers and all the best.

My kind advice is that you consider going for holidays in a place that is more affordable. N1m is half a year's salary. It will not sound reasonable/responsible to the VO that you earn 170k/month, married with two kids, etc, and want to spend most of your savings on a short holiday. All the best.

I think that if your kids are minors, you can schedule a separate appointment for them, but one of the parents will need to accompany them for that interview. (Roughly what I have understood from here, though perhaps my understanding falls short.)

I guess you mean applied/apply for a visit visa to the US. Recent comments on here indicate that there may not be available dates in July/August. If your friend has a medical emergency, he can try to read up about that. If it is for holidays, he can plan his holidays for Christmas. Alternatively, he can keep checking daily and throughout the nights, in case an early date appears (this perhaps happens when someone with an early date cancels his/her appointment, thereby creating space a new person to book). But as you may reason, holidays/tourism should not be cause for sleepless nights in advance. #peace

A friend can't find the receipt number he used the last time in booking his appointment sometime in February. He needs it to book another appointment.. What should he do pls?

Not sure. But I think he may need that receipt to enter the Consulate for interview. So, it is best he finds it. Perhaps he can try to visit GTB to see if they can reprint it for him. All the best.

Hello guys. Please I need help/advice
My dad and my brother would be attending my graduation ceremony and I filled and submitted their visa form. I put travelodge hotel address on their form as that’s the best place for them to stay. I’m trying to book their hotel now and I realised the dates for their travel, travelodge doesn’t have rooms available. Is it possible I book another hotel and they write a note to the eco explaining the situation and attach the note when they go for their biometrics/ interview.

Please help!
