Pls I need your responds here.I want to visit usa to see my parent, they will be getting their citizenship nxt month but my bro is already a citizen.I will be staying for 6mnth

I have not travel to any country

How much do I need to have in my account ?

If my brother will sponsored my trip, will I still need my account statement?

I am a fashion designer working for a clothing line own by another of my brother in Usa.is a registered comp In usa
@JECU. You need to study well your options for legally travelling to the US.
1. Wait until your parents and citizens and see if they can file for you. (Invite you to come to stay with them in the US).
2. Probably; with the help of your parents and brother, get a job that will take you to the US to work there.
For the two options above, you may want to check the thread for immigrating to the US. You may not get useful answers here.

3. Visit the US. This is what this thread is about: people just going to visit USA and come back to Nigeria. If you want to visit, it is not normal to be on a visit trip for 6 months. For example, you cannot work legally in the US with a visit visa, so it is not easy to explain how you will stay there for more than a few weeks, and not work in the US and that will mean that you leave the business or work in Nigeria.

Hello house , please i need your urgent assistance.
Is it possible to create another US application profile for one of my children? I was filling the form i realized a made a mistake under relationship between the first and second child so (clicked child felt i should click other relative). Can i go ahead to create another profile then at the point of scheduling an appointment i make use of the correct profile?
The gurus will help you with better advice. My take is that since it is possible to fill new forms and swap (see past posts on how to do this), then the mistake has a solution. The key to resolving the situation seems to be to fill a new form. Just make sure you schedule the appointment with the right form in the end.

Hello everyone. Hope you guys are doing ok. I’ve been going thru these pages on this topic and I’m amazed at how helpful people are here.
I want to travel to the US on a visitor’s visa and wanted to ask for help on the best way to get it considering my unique situation.
My mom moved to the US a while ago and is now a citizen. I tried applying to visit her in 2012 but was denied & told to wait for her to file for me to go join her. My mom has since filed for me. Would there be any other of travelling to the US at this point? I’m a postgraduate from a UK university. Not currently employed.
Since she has filed for you, probably best to wait for the outcome, especially since your intention is to join her. This thread is for helping people who genuinely want to visit and return.

I mean June is filled up
I see. If you are still allowed the one free rescheduling, I will suggest you book the earliest date, then follow up by checking every night to see if an earlier date pops up as free.

No but someone told me.April is filled
Well, the way to find a date is to try to find one. Some people offered different options of checking, on this thread and in this part 3.

If anyone knows the current available dates in Abuja, they will post it here. But your best approach is to try to complete the form, pay and book as soon as possible.

You need to spend some time reading the past pages of this thread. After that, you can ask more specific questions or you would have seen that perhaps all your questions have been answered already in the past pages.

I have a concern. I went for a US tourist visa interview 9 days ago and was granted visa. However, when I wanted to track the passport yesterday, I found out that I had filled in the previous passport's number on my ds160 form instead of the new one which was issued to me since July last year. I have not been contacted by the embassy in this regard and the passport is still with them. I'm a bit worried cos I don't know what could be the outcome of my mistake. Please does anyone have an idea of what to expect or do?
You can go to check whether your passport is ready for collection. You can wait to see what happens eventually. You can write the embassy. (Perhaps you printed out now, an old DS160 form.

Both the confirmation page and appointment confirmation have your passport number. The passport number on your confirmation page is derived directly from the DS160 form, upon submission. I think that if it were incorrect, you should have been turned back at the take-in before entering the consulate. (Gurus, am I right to think this way?)

Powerful house, pls i need your help.

I have paid for visa fee and my passport will expire in few days...pls what do i do?

Thanks for your assistance
Worst case scenario: get a new passport and pay a new visa fee. Have you filled the form? (Hint: if you go through the thread, you will be able to see whether an applicable solution has been suggested in the past.)

quote author=mygladness post=66288833]Please, I need help. I have a sister who is married but currently separated. She wants to apply for US visa with her daughter to visit our sister whom she hasn't seen in many years. It is unlikely she will get her husband's consent to travel with her daughter. Please, what does she need to do? How best does she present her case in that regards? What is her chances of getting visa?

Thanks fo your help.
She should factor in how to convert the "unlikely" to "certainly". It may help, but still not an assurance of visa approval. How old is the daughter?

hi everyone. To be honest, this platform is just too wonderful and you people have been really doing a great job.. I really appreciate, God bless you. but I am here again with another question.

there is an error on the passport number on the profile created to book appointment (not DS-160), I tried through updating the profile buh I discovered I can't change the passport number and the name. so please does anyone have an idea on how I can modify/edit the passport number.
Perhaps call the consulate support lines, or create a new profile with the right details.

Morning everyone, i have a question to ask
My friend's appointment is on the 15th of July and she wants to travel on the 20th of July, hope the little difference between the date of interview and the traveling date (5days difference) won't affect her visa approval, Thanks in advance.
Sorry, 15th of July not possible. (It's a Sunday.)
5 days difference will not affect the visa approval, but approved visas need 3 working days minimum and you are advised not to buy the ticket until you get the visa. (You may just find that fares are too high at two days notice, or you may be extremely lucky to find a rock bottom price that close.)

No, I am a Ghanaian visiting Barcelona for a week with a schengen visa, from there fly to London to take my flight to Chicago
Your itinerary is a little complex. Make sure you have valid return tickets back to country of residence (and within the limits of your visas). For Barcelona-London-Chicago, if it is the same airline, you can confirm from the airline office whether you need a transit visa. If it will be different airlines, it is probably best you get a transit UK visa to avoid stories that touch; or if I were in your shoes, I will look for flight connections that do not touch UK: Lufthansa, KLM, AirFrance, Delta, United, etc. All the best.

Do yourself a favour by going through the thread as advised. Travelling to the US is more tedious than reading the pages of the thread. Reading the thread helps you familiarize yourself with the interview nuances, which affect the success of your visa application. Ciao

Good evening all

Please I need advice and ideas, I have us interview tomorrow with my wife at Lagos 8am, I have applied before in feb 2016 I was denied at Abuja embassy, I was single den I ddint travel but my passport was stamped by agents, I requested Kenya only to be stamped but the guy stamped other countries like Ghana Togo Benin same day arrival same day exit for the three countries when I was asked about my work cos I work with gtb I was able to respond correctly with confidence but the consular through a question to me asking did I go to Ghana by air or road so I said by air which was supposed to be by road due to the neighboring countries stamped so I was denied

But now I got married last year oct me and wife went to Kenya for one week with my new passport and that's the only country visited for now and the only travel experience on our passport she is also working pls based on my last experience what could be the questions that can be asked due to the issue I had on my passport ?
Advice: Let your wife go alone.
"tomorrow"? and you start asking questions at quarter to... na wa for you o.
I hope you have told your wife about your past misrepresentation.

You need to come clean at the interview, tell them you misrepresented before, set your records straight. Not to do this is to court a ban, and most likely no chance at US/Canada visas. Setting the records straight would be an achievement, not a total loss of another N64k.

You may be able to get free hotel+transit visa courtesy of Qatar airlines since your layover is more than 8 hours, (provided there was no earlier connection). Check with the airline staff when you checkin or inside the plane. They will let you know how to go about this "bonus".

Studying the 1000+ pages and researching intelligently paid off. That has been a trend here. Congrats and safe trip.

Hello great people, thanks for all the good work.
I applied for a Visit Visa last year (business ) for a training but I could not go cos my Visa came 2 months after the training.
My Visa is expiring in March and another training has been organized few days after my Visa expiration.
Can I extend the Visa (keep in mind I didn't use the first one I was given) or,
Can I apply for a new one while this one has not expired?

Please I need your help.
As far as I know, you can't extend a visa. Also, it looks like you need to apply for a new one. You can write a cover letter explaining why you couldn't use the visa (as you explained above) and push for having a new visa granted. (I guess you will need to submit all required documents as before).

Hi Justwise. I got the tier 2 visa. I will give you guys the download later. Thanks for everything.

Please general house, ibam traveling with a one month old baby to the UK, what will I need? Do I need a car seat or bassinet? What will the uk border force ask or look at for? Thanks
Most airlines will provide a bassinet. You will need to buy a ticket for your baby (typically 10% of normal ticket price). Remember to check in early, so that you are allocated a seat with the bassinet; if you don't manage, speak with the steward/ess immediately you enter the plane, so that they can arrange for the bassinet/+seat for you.

Guys i have a question for anyone with the knowledge.
What airline wouldnt require me having a transit visa to travel to the states?
I dont have any other visa except US on my passport.
Do i need to get a schengen or middle east transit visa b4 i can go?
Thanks
You don't need transit visa for Delta, Emirates, Turkish, Royal Air Maroc, Qatar, Etihad..

Maybe also KLM, Lufthansa, Ethiopian (make sure the flight direct to Newark, not passing through Canada), Virgin Atlantic and British Airways (make sure there is no change of terminal sha: the first group above are certain).

@ladylco. Happy Birthday yesterday. I missed the cake.

greetings house,

Am a complete greenhorn here, i tried to read part 1, 2 and this very part, but its not been easy to stay on a laptop all day long. Please i will like you to educate me as i don't want to go through any agent. I am in my early 40s, married but separated, i work with a Fed Agency with 20 years working experience, have traveled to Dubai on a business trip sometimes 2007 and 2013 pilgrimage to Israel, now i want to visit US for vacation and if possible attend few days conference as i billed to proceed on my annual leave by June, 2018. Now, my questions are:

1. Do i still claim married because i just filed for my divorce last week due to unresolved issues.
2. my leave is for four weeks, can i go on 10 days vacation?
3. Can i get any free conference to attend especially something related to my career (Drug Abuse Treatment, counselling and Rehab)
4. What other documents will i need to enable me apply for visiting visa
5. All my documents are still bearing my maiden name, do i claim married or divorced or separated?
6. how do i proceed from here on entire process?
7. how do i find conferences to attend?

Thank you all.
1. Be truthful in filling your form.
2. Yes, you can.
3. Typically you apply for holiday or conference. With 20 years working experience, probably you should just opt for enjoying your holiday.
4. As you read more (within the last 2 pages, the documents needed have been listed again)...
5. Be truthful. It's not a minus to have your documents in your maiden name.
6. From the beginning. Try page on of part 1. It has the starting links.
7. You can use google to see if there is a conference at same time as your leave, and at/near your desired destination.

POE: JFK Terminal 4.
After self-filled questionnaire at one of those computer kiosks, I was directed to the queue for those with print outs marked with 'X' or 'O'. (I had selected that I was carrying food, as I had a packet of coffee and some sweets.) Then, it was soon my turn with the CBP.

Me: Good morning.
O: Good morning.
O: Are you here for business.
Me: I am only passing through, I am flying out tomorrow.
O: Where is your final destination.
Me: Nigeria.
O: How long are you staying.
Me: One day.
O: You indicated you are carrying foods. (looking like "why"wink
Me: Yes, I have some coffee and candy.
O:.. Stamps me in. (looking like "move on fast, next!"wink
Me: Thank you

I then went to collect my bag and went past the meet/greet area to keep my big bag in the 24 hours luggage storage (just $11 for 24 hours. It saved me need for taxis to and from the airport, and made it easy for me to run around NY for one day & night).

@OgaSeye, Kudos, keep up the good work.

Hi, sorry about your denial. Typically, people mention things they want to see in New York when it's their choice tourist destination. Then again, what travel dates were you proposing? For the winter is harsh there at the moment. About your UK visas, I have one curiosity. Did you apply for the UK visas jointly?
Meanwhile, perhaps you can take another family vacation to another country: I am sure you are considering this already. All the best.

Urgent feedback: Best you try to contact the US Consulate to know the process for group travel for underage. I want to believe that they are quite strict about this vis-a-vis child trafficking, etc, and would have a slightly different procedure. You may also visit the USIS (I don't know if they have a new name, but it the US agency that promotes education).
