Hi Nairalanders, I would like to know what you think about the performance of President Muhammad Buhari as the Minister for Petroleum of Nigeria. |
Khd95:It takes a thief/weed smoker to catch another. |
SalamRushdie:You are quite right. Nigeria's progress as a nation stated to nose dive following the coup of Buhari in 1984 and since then, it was one useless and unnecessary military coup/regime after another during which Nigeria's economy was dealt a heavy blow, from which it could not recover till today. |
It's long overdue. |
Let's tell the truth: 'Buhari has been impressed and not depressed'. |
AnanseK:By Fulani Herdsmen killing Christians like mosquitoes? |
This is a serious matter. I am surprised that communities are not shooting these so called herdsmen at sight. If they continue to wait for government to protect them, then they are playing with their lives. I smell a grand plan by the Buhari government to use these herdsmen to penetrate every nook and corner of the Christian states and gradually and methodically wipe them out. The more this is allowed to continue, the worse it could become. Boko Haram could become a lesser evil. |
We should scrap this second term thing and stick to only one term of 4 - 5 years. There is no need for a second term/chance. One term is more then sufficient and it would make the issue of rotation more easy and manageable. |
Africa is beginning to wake up from deep slumber. |
Why dem go put wahala for dead body? |
Nobody wants to hear that the world will end soon, nobody wants to repent. Be rest assured that the world will end someday. So any prediction which says that the world will end soon should be a wake-up call for us to repent and give our lives to Christ. |
Rochas is a disgrace and a shame to Ibo people and Imolites in particular. We shall see where all the ill-gotten wealth he has acquired will lead him and his family. It's a pity that Imo State has not been blessed with a good and responsible governor since after Sam Mbakwe. The rest of the governors after Sam Mbakwe are a bunch of 419ers. |
Buhari is still very sick and will soon go back to the UK never again to return. |
I watched those planes on TV and could not believe my eyes. I believe Boko Haram will bring down those planes in a matter of months. And can you believe Nigeria buying planes from Pakistan, a country which is not supposed to see our back? I pity this country call 'Nigeria'. One day we shall purchase planes and ammunition from Chad, Mali, Bangladesh etc. I weep for this country, there seem to be no hope. |

Let the Ibos never bank/rely on the Yorubas for any form of support or coalition regarding their own agitation or else they are 'OYO' (on your own), knowing the Yorubas for who and what they are. |
Nigeria is the only thing holding back the Ibo people from making a quantum leap into technological breakthrough. |
I wish you all the best, my sister. |
Noone is afraid of the Nigerian military that couldn't defeat Book Haram. Or are they actually playing politics with the fight against Book Haram? Demanding to leave Nigeria shouldn't mean fighting with the Nigerian military the way I see it. The so called Prof should go and negotiate for their Oduduwa republic if he has balls. |
Awo Omamma should not be making headline with such negative news on social media. Awo nukwu. |
There is no tomorrow for the common man in Nigeria. Their future is being hijacked by those greedy thieves who looted the country's treasury for the sole purpose of re-circling themselves and members of their families in positions of government and authority. The common man has no hope and no future until something changes drastically in the country. This very unfortunate and an ominous situation. |
If the Ibos want to break away from Nigeria, then the United States of America and the United Kingdom are their worst enemies because both countries have vested interest in the unity of Nigeria and they are worried about having an African super power, which Biafra would become in less than no time if given the opportunity. Ibo people and those seeking for their voices to be heard about the actualisation of of the Sovereign State of Biafra should look to Russia for support. Approaching the UN will not benefit them in any way. |
Charlie Boy was born in 1954, so he is 63 years old and not 66 years. I know him very well. |
If the coup is about flushing out all our ex presidents, senators, governors, ministers, LGA chairmen, councillors, political appointees and all those who have embezzled public funds and then taking over all their assets including private houses, money, jets etc and turning them into government property, then I fully support the coup. This is similar to what Rawlings did in Ghana. Nigeria needs a fresh start. There is too much greed, corruption and inequality with those who have illegitimately amassed some wealth becoming so proud and arrogant while the masses just live as their slaves. A real revolution is needed in Nigeria and the civilians cannot do it successfully on their own. |
If Bihari dies in office, then it should sound a good warning to the northerners that God doesn't want any more northerners as president of Nigeria or else the harder they come, the harder they fall. Be warned, we are serving the living God. |
I was going through my late parents' stuff during my recent visit to Nigeria and I stumbled into this historic currency note. I was surprised to see the Biafran pound. What surprised me the more is that the quality of the material used to print the money is far more superior to even the highest Nigerian currency. Have a look:

Buhari should first speak to Nigerians before speaking to anybody else. This can't be right. |
This man has lived up to his name. DICK + SON = DICKSON |

Someone said that my last picture was photo-shopped, so I decided to post a picture of my wife, my sister and myself taken very recently.

My house was actually built in 2004. Somebody thinks that it was built in the 1980s. |
