Cadillac15: Wow. Very good job. Slept off before you could finish but after going through your presentation, I have no doubt that my decision not to sell any of my units yesterday was an excellent one.
The dividend call might be tough though I am expecting a bonus of like 1 share for every 4 held. So if dividend comes, that's Jara. V You should do this often please. Won't mind paying though. Alhaji does not do bonuses. Check history. Remember that at the height of the madness when he floated the IPO, he refused to absorb any oversubscription. I stand corrected though. |

PharmAlfred: With EPS of 3.something naira by year end, DF may be able to squeeze a little dividend or give some bonus.
The market is slowing down now. Could ignite the engine tomorrow. retained earnings must be in +ve territory before we talk about dividends. Still under lock and key though. |

If there is no trouble ahead not sure why he would be divesting ... in other climes news like this would cause drastic fall in share price lets see market's reaction on Monday... I feel Transcorp is for loose change if at all one want to invest in it.. just my opinion Depends on how you see the glass. HF or HE? Uncle Tony is selling and a greater fool is buying? Who would be investing such an amount on impulse? At N350/$, that is ~$40m. Oh well |

RabbiDoracle: Since 2014 that oil price started falling and the subsequent depreciation of the naira, the market has been trading low since. This is the trough in my opinion. Now that the FPIs can come with little FX and get more Naira, they will see it as an opportunity to invest in this market. The crest never reach ooo.
We are even yet to test the absurdities of 2007 - 2008. Zenith had a high of 68 then, fidelity was over 8, fbn was .....
I'm on the street listening to people if they will be speaking about stock market like MMM.

Cadillac15: I normally don't like posting in bullish periods because of the popular knowledge that everyone becomes an expert in such periods.
But I feel obliged to give some thoughts to newbies as they pay their NSE fees.
What is suddenly moving the market? Why are prices going up generally? The answer is simple. No more 18%+ interest in Treasury Bill. No more 16%+ interest in Bonds. All the monies that left the market as a result of the sudden increase of interest rates at the peak of our recession is returning back to the stock market. This is good for the market but has a very big disadvantage to inexperienced traders. Why? Because all the stocks will appreciate in price Will they remain so? No Why? Because investors will soon discern the good stocks from the bad and hence offload the bad to unfortunate hands who will then hold them through the bearish period or sell at a loss
In all this, it is important to know everything about the company you are buying their shares, what is in it for you, what is moving their price and most importantly, your exit plan when poo hits the fan. I give you an example, what's special about Fidelity Bank? Is their numbers the best in the banking index? No then why is everyone looking their way right now? Simply because they declare good dividend historically. Now, you follow the band wagon, buy Fidelity because of this fact, not planning your trade. After the dividend play and ex-dividend date, the players will exit and this will pull back the price. Why? It will no longer be fruitful to hold Fidelity until the next dividend period chikena.
Another of such company is Afriprud. These are even companies with good financials o. So what happens to you if you had gone ahead to buy caverton because the price is rising with the general bull? Or CI Leasing? Or even Skye
Anyway, I'm in my house. If my opinion annoyed you, come and beat me Oh boy carry time with this your epistle! No just spoil market for me. Everyone must pay their school fees. That is the way the cookie has always crumbled! Greater fool theory is a very well established fact. However, one thing i will never do is hunt monkeys. |

When the bulls are here everyone is an expert.
Watch out the number of rights and PO's. That is the first sign of the beginning of the end! You saw a new company listed and gaining 5%? What does that remind you off.
Anyway. make we dey watch as people go dey buy dead companies because of some pumping and dumping.
In another news, SEC DG suspended. SEC 1 vs 1 OandO I first read this statement from you on SMN in 2007! Exuberance didn't really let me pay any attention to it. I know you made quite alot when DS was N4. Nascon was sub N5.
Na you biko. got into DF at sub 1.5, Nascon at about 2.99, haven't sold them though. both are sitting on a very very very very healthy profit.
