emmanuelewumi: It doesn't work that way, a stock may be good but yet the price may not fly.
The most important thing is to know how to value a stock or a company and then give room for margin of safety. According to Peter Lynch, a 10 bagger may not enjoy price movement in 2 years and by the time market focuses and discovers the latent value in the company. A 10 bagger could be achieved in 2 months.
10 bagger occurs when the price of a stock increases 1000% within a year or less. i thought X bagger simply means X times within any time frame |

currentprice: Thank you brov, we have heard you, just to let u know that even if Oga emma, told us he got the stock for free base on his goodwill we believe him. i follow his post and i have small knowlegde of his portfolio. you can read his post yesterday about his banking portfolio, he post that only sky punish him he was true because i knew when he bought the skye at high price long term ago, he didn't sell it because of his nature of investment LONG TERM. i believe if you hear he bought UCAP btw 90k - 1.10 and afripud btw 1.80k - 2 you go run mad. he actually bought at that range. he was the first person that kept shouting about the two stock when nobody have the idea of what he saying even 1himself that created the thread.
Yes i remember. i follow am buy UCAP at those prices. dem come give us rights at 90K on top. |

locodemy: Do you know why currentprice is always a winner in stock pick? He measures a company income,Eps,profit and retained earnings with their outstanding shares. Just do the measurement on eterna oil now and tell me where you arrived at. pa Emma himself has seen a value here yesterday. If the stock is not cursed, expect #10 before January 2018. and here lies your exuberance! how can you ascribe a price to a stock and say with any level of certainty that it will get to it? #thoughtyoulearnt |

yeah, i believe he sold to TB @9.5 and bought back from them @3.04 ish I didn't need a rocket scientist or a neuro surgeon to tell me to buy with him and go to sleep. I was also encouraged by other Dangotes in my portfolio. I once bought NASCON @1.99 about 8yrs ago, Dangsugar at between N5 or N6 |

currentprice: honestly i remember the post and am still trying to remember the handle that made the post. the price was @ 1.20 when he made the post and went down the following week to 79k. many post that follow his post did not encouraging with Loco at the front roll of all bad comment waiting for 55k. i wanted to buy but each minute i check their report i got discourage as i didn't see anything good to come out of it. chai! imagine one bought 10m unit at N1 and forget it......... I did! I put my money where Aliko put his. I believed the key facts of the deal was in the public domain. I did my school boy analysis based on the availab;e facts, bought my fill and made my thoughts public. I wasn't swayed by the daily 'upandan' of market afterwards. |

maishai: I have come to understand that the best investment mind frame for nse is 3yrs........I had this 2 stocks(DF "then Tiger brands" and eterna) in mind this time 3 yrs ago but the sentiments on this forum discouraged me back then, my biggest pain was when one guy made an analyses of why he would buy DF cos Aliko paid #3 while he just paid #1 for the same stock, I was convinced but I did not join the bus.......God knows the fantastically sweet profit I would have been sitting on given the huge funds @ my disposal bck then..... Looking forward I think there are some stocks that might repeat that cycle but I will wait for January b4 I place my bet................................. Yes i did! it still holds true. I am up over 650% (my average price is less than N1.4). Mind you i play long term |

Agbalowomeri: My brother it is spiritual
Zenith has always paid more dividend than GTB except last year I think
On a more serious note I think it is the premium on corporate governance, not only the result Don't you think Ovia has more grip on Zenith than the biggest share holder in GTB has on guaranty?
Those who make things happen on those fronts are mainly foreign investors and they don't joke with corporate governance. To them, no amount is too much premium to pay. Regarding corporate governance, I think stanbic is even now ahead of Zenith if not GTB. First bank and Union bank used to be no1 and 2 pre-2007 competing with dividends and bonus. Where are they today? Nigerian managers sending people back to their villages since Mongo Park I have said it a few times that corporate governance premium is priceless. There lies the differential between GTB/Stanbic and others. |
