Manonamission: Just a piece of information you might find useful. Your position in a SELL/BUY order queue can be jumped/skipped if a Buyer from the same stockbroking firm as another Seller?Buyer (behind you) places a BUY?SELL order. Priority can be given for in-house trades (slightly different from cross-deals where an order doesn't even appear on the queue). That's why most investors allude to big stockbroking houses easily selling or buying stocks for clients. Probability of matching a seller and buyer in-house is higher.
Disclaimer: This is based on my experience and understanding of order management gleaned from stockbrokers over the years. It provides an explaination for some of my experiences . Thanks for this |

lmm4real: Ok pls I have a question, I always receive one X-Alert when ever my Buy or sell oder is accomplished.
Recently I requested for a statement of account from my brokers, on it I saw the same stock I bought for 0.79k and received an x-Alert for, was purchased at a higher price 1.29 precisely.
I really Dont understand why its like that, in fact am suspecting foul play.
Is there a way I can investigate this or any independent body I can report to. In the 1st instance ask your brokers for clarifications. If not satisfied, then be ready to escalate it to SEC |

Revibe: I entered @ 52k and it has done 25%. With this bull, it can do 80k and I'm out... I'll look at Oando sha but their bad corporate governance wahala me I don't like. Got in at 53k, not in a hurry to sell. How many insurance companies in Nigeria are better run? The authorised share capital will likely increase as they seek to transition to a finance holding company. This i believe is the only thing holding it down. #IStandCorrected |

Revibe: Something is cooking in AIICO i said this a few weeks ago. There were a couple of days of over 200m volume each. Yours truly is well positioned though bigjay01: If anything, the news will trail. 200m+ sometime last week definitely not from retail investors. The only reason why the price is at this level is because they intend to increase their share capital in their quest to restructure their business ala CUSTODYINS.
Yours truly will watch and hold onto what I already have. bigjay01: there is definitely something cooking in AIICO. 39m+ so far. issorait ooo |

emmanuelewumi: I dey go AGM regularly and do interact with retired teachers, soldiers (no be the ogas), junior civil servants, lecturers etc. Who bought shares in the 70s during the indegenisation policy of Obasanjo and also bought during the privatization policy of Babangida, but these average old folks hardly sell and their portfolio sizes are in the hundreds of millions. These old folks who are in their 60s and 80s are not a burden on their children and do not have to rely on the irregular pension from government. My 83yr old dad started buying NB etc in the 70s. He has never sold. Some of the companies he has have disappeared. He holds over 600k units of NB. |
