I think we should be safe rather than sorry. I believe Morgan are understating the problem. I have tried access via Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge. All are giving the same security warning! And yet, Morgan wants us to override this and log in. Mba. Please note that in this kind of breach, the loss incurred or the potential to incur losses may not be immediately apparent.
It is not a breach for sweet Pete's sake. A question of out of date security certificate. Means the SSL will no longer behave as originally intended

...for security reasons, I will advise all not to log onto Morgan trading platform on the regular computer system normally use. Take messages coming from your browser seriously as your credit card, internet banking details, email details etc maybe stolen. Not sure Morgan is sincere with what is happening, someone/ group might have hacked into their system.

grin grin grin grin grin
As someone who is tech savvy, I think all they have to do is renew their SSL security certificate. The risk as i pointed out earlier is the risk of your session data being read by a third party while on transit

You may follow the same procedure with Puffin. Not sure it'll work though.
what a load of tosh!

even with chrome, you can still log in - just ignore the securty warning.
IE will still throw up the same warning anyway.

The risk of ignoring the warning is that your credentials might be stolen somewhere along the line.

Dividend play lies beyond this year. Capital appreciation knocks on Diamond before dividend game commences..... grin
Note: If the divestment is completed before December ending as 'rumoured', EPS from the divestment alone will be over N1.00.
I doubt if the price will remain below N2.0.
If Diamond was like UCAP, hmmmmmm.

NB: All is HOPE..... grin
some hopes are more likely to manifest than others.... grin

Discl: This post is purely unreliable, decisions made based on it may be very harmful.
The bottom line - how much of it will end up in the retail investors' pocket? This is the koko?

3. Fidelity Bank PLC
4. Dangote Flour
5. Access Bank PLC
6. Honeywell Flour

All these stocks are trading at low prices when you price in their fundamentals.

Foreign exchange gains booked last year is insignificant this year, hence the 'bad' result. FCMB won't crash as such (in my opinion). Left for market to decide
in fact, their core business (company, bank i guess) made a loss for the 9M period. Na their subsidiaries made attempts to save them

That a company is making projections or calculations doesn't mean the market will rubber-stamp it. The reconstruction is 4 to 1 i.e one share for every four previously held.
The reconstructed shares have to be relisted and left to the market forces to price. The management can't tell where the pendulum will swing from post-consolidation price. Capitalization could drop or increase depending on market perception of the stock.
Equity Capital raising is likely a mix of rights, PP and Depository receipts. Nothing is certain yet.

Also note that the company is planning to borrow N20B in addition through issuance of bonds.

Closure date: 20th to 24th Nov. ( I guess ref price for the reconstruction will be closing price on the 20th)

Good luck to everyone embarking on this journey with C&I

Disclaimer: This is a personal opinion. My assumptions could be wrong too.
Back in the day, the stock will be placed on TS during capital raising. All sorts of magic will happen in this intervening period, some pigs blindly and excitedly head towards the abattoir grin grin

In that case, the main TARGET is you and I, the retail investors. THAT IS THE POINT, I THINK AGBA IS INSINUATING. And that is where the danger lies. During the past (or do I say ongoing) episode of PONZI schemes, a few guys arranged to scam the larger society by Providing Help (PH) and Getting Help (PH) among themselves to make it appear as if the scheme is genuine and working. Any unsuspecting non-member who ventures into the scheme ultimately suffers the guaranteed consequence, and before a large number gets to know the tricks, the bad market had been oversold to a sizeable cream of anxious victims. And to cushion the emotional distress, a good number resort to miracle churches and before you know it church attendance starts swelling. And meanwhile majority of these never consulted 'God' before throwing in their money.

Pump and Dump still exist, that is why many still having fingers yet unburnt are playing extremely safe in the NSE.

My decision is clear: C.I Leasing, please construct first, once the dust settles, I will join you to celebrate, even if it's a plate of jollof rice without meat reach me, I will be happy at least for being alive to witness your survival and hear your testiMONY grin grin grin
seconded!

Like i said before, my downfall during the magic period of 2007 was believing that i should be in every 'popular' stock.

This guys don rundown cileasing oh
Nobody is running down CILeasing (in my opinion though)! The 'standard' guy only made us aware of information in the public domain which a lot of people were not aware of.

Moreover, share reconstruction has never worked effectively in 9ja. At least it has never favoured retail investors like myself. It has a way of finding the path of least resistance to the pre-reconstruction price (where I would be waiting).

I have never been a trading guy, but on this occassion, if i had CIL (i don't) i would have dropped them like hot potatoes.

I understand your emotion is running high because of the unpleasant news about the coy. However, my post is just an opinion which does not in anyway determine what mr. Market will do tomorrow. Though based on logic and precedence, investors would be expected to react negatively to the news by staying away from the shares because no one wants his or her investment to be slashed by 25%.. shocked...Its purely value erosion! Hence, my submission that the price might fall sharply.
Only in 9ja!

Try it in this clime and rest assured you'll be banged up for a veeeeery long time if the transaction is in any way dodgy

This place has been hot this weekend. The market has been trading at a range for weeks now. Nobody knows when the expected break will come.

I foresee a huge positioning in DEC/JAN in dividend paying stocks by investors.

Lesson: Not all good looking stocks are good investments. Apply your filter. The very good stocks are hardly discussed ( Always have that in mind).
The good ones discuss themselves.
