I must confess I'm pleasantly surprised to see FBNH result this early. That said, I opened FBNH and Zenith results side by side. I got excited for the first few items till I got to "impairment for credit losses". More work is needed. Impairment reduced but they can still do better.
However, I must commend the management for reining in "operating expenses". Zenith reported N107B while FBNH reported N98B. That's fair enough. But I think FBNH is yet to breakthrough. When it does, it will be massive.

I don't know how the market will react tomorrow. I hope it's positive as I'm loaded here.

Edit: Just realised my mistake. Operating expenses actually increased. huh huh I'm now confused sef with this result cheesy cheesy

Saint Louis sugar is no longer in the market, Dangote sugar currently has the biggest share in the sugar market.

I have made close to 80% from the salt company
been holding for more than 8yrs. Got in at N1.99. Oh, and they pay very generous dividend. Sometimes about 80% payout

It pays to piggy back with Aliko. Have never gone wrong (provided you get in at the right price). Yes, right prices have been presented a few times!

People will be surprised to see FBNH on full bid tomorrow. This is a nice result. indeed they are recovering.
with what index did you measure this recovery? pointers? inefficiency (aka cost) is a drag (my opinion). Compare their income statement side by side with GTB & Zenith then you'd see where I am coming from.

I do have a good bunch of this though

dangote flour #8.26k
Anyone remembe this my post from 23/12/15

bigjay01:
I bought based on this rough analysis:

Share outstanding is 5B

Tigerbrands transferred 3.285B (65.7%) to Aliko.

"Subject to regulatory approvals, DIL will provide TBCG with an immediate cash injection of N10 billion. In return, Tiger Brands will
divest its 65.7% shareholding in TBCG to DIL for a nominal consideration and write off its shareholder loans to TBCG. In addition,
Tiger Brands will assume and settle outstanding debt guaranteed on behalf of TBCG."

This roughly implies that Aliko paid ~N3.04/ share (10B/3.285B).

I bought at N1.16, which is about 62% discount to Aliko's price.

Precedents have shown that Aliko is a very shrewd business man, I am willing to hold with him ...

Not a buy or sell recommendation

You bought at N1.14 last week, it closed at N1.12 today (1.75% drop) - and "e b like trailer jam me"? you are definitely in the wrong business. If you are really serious, then i submit to you that stock trading/investment is definitely not for you. Do not cause yourself unnecessary HBP

Wow. 60k dividend? Incredible. Gtb should be ashamed of itself.
Not really! Anyway, you may have observed that they tend to pay more in interim than final. Whereas the reverse is the case for GTB!

Please can someone explain to me why the earning of GTB/Stanbic bank with their current price has a big difference when compared with Zenith, Access and UBA.

The first is high in their stock price but small in its earning, while the later are small in their price but high in their earning when compare with the price of GTB/ Stanbic .

Please I need an explanation.

I hope one can rightly say that the people who first set are in their fair price region, while the others are in their undervalued region.
The market is ready to pay a premium because GTB is adjudged to be a better brand than Zenith Bank.

Further clarifications should be sought from Mr Market

Also sold ETI @ 16.8 (bought at 8.9 in 2009). Apart from capital appreciation, it hasn't returned much. The proceeds will be moved to GTB.

Its possible for FYE 2017. Investors are not that patient. May be small, anything to dowse tension!
for this to happen, they need to make a PAT of #6.6B+.
If I project linearly based on H1, then I expect them to make ~#6B for H2.
I don't see those accumulated losses being cleared by the end of this FY
Dividend based on next FY is more realistic.

I would have gladly loved to add my Oga Shege2000 immediately but can I handle all of them now without losing focus?

I love to work with full attention to details, and if I add more projects now, I may not be able to cope with the demands. Brothers, just bear with me. Thank you for even considering me.

As far as i know, there was no dividend last year or this year from DF. The article we all read clearly muddled things up. The wrote that DF gave 50k last year and 60k this year. Clearly this is the case with DSR and not DF.

I love your convictions about FCMB, the only issue i have is the way you present them. I am very mindful that there are lots of inexperienced folks here, some of them would have swallowed the 'bait' line, hook and sinker. Could they have assumed that you had privileged information?

I would advice you to add a caveat to all your FCMB posts in the future, so the newbies are cautioned accordingly.
