I'm not using a fast charger naaa. Just the standard charger that came with the phone.

Funny enough, I'm using my old Tecno g9 pad 2 charger to charge it, same time recorded.

Makes no sense for Xiaomi to release an upgraded version which charges slower than its predecessor

RN5 supports Quick charge, what i'm using is the Redmi Note 6 Pro and it doesn't support it.
It is not the cable.

I've never had to charge a phone for more than 2hrs 30mins sef

Nr b everything we suppose argue, ontop say most users here dey use this device, if person see say im own different, e suppose kw say something wrong, no need to try and make over 99.9% users to think say dem nr know their phones. Right from factory rom, to official Global stable, to developer rom, to Eu rom, all my charging time na dsame, around 2.5 hours, I surprise to hear this new one today.

It's just like trying to fill a glass with beer and someone is busy drinking out of it using straw.... The glass will never fill up to the brim at least not until the guy drinking slows down his pace of drinking while you continue to pour in the remaining beer.

Using this analogy, as you use the phone while charging, the more the apps draw battery power to itself the slower it takes for it to charge.

That is actually a common myth.

Unless you're using all these low quality 5v 0.5A chargers, using your phone while charging doesn't change your charging time. If you get over 3 hours and you think it's because you're using it while charging, you're mistaken.

That being said i didn't use the phone while charging except to check and take screenshots in order to calculate charging time accurately.

You can try it from 15%, take screenshot before and then at 90% and then 97-100% to reflect how much time has passed. It may surprise you how long it takes.

Must have been your cable issue I used my RN5 cable o.n my old phone charger and phone it charged faster than with the old cable on the old charger. Get a new cable

E yaaa you made mistake of using DHL. Makes no sense that you post an item of $41 with like $22.... That's what the customs look at. Using Aliexpress mailing service makes sense and more reason why many pay lower fees.

They would feel the package is not worth your pain hence your using the cheaper means. Expect to pay nothing less than N10k.

DHL too are thieves sorry to say. If you look at their charges on Quickteller Global Mall you will understand them better. Sorry about your savings tho next time use current account money

Guys, please help. I dunno what to do anymore. I ordered a phone on aliexpress using mi global store, two weeks ago. I used the DHL shipment method. Its just been one delay to another, from seller now to DHL. I dunno what to do anymore. They want to do physical examination on my parcel? Seller declared it as $41, actual price is above $200. I'm afraid I might be asked to pay custom duties. I used my savings to buy this phone(mi6x).

A Nigerian airline has been accused of spurning efforts to notify it of a data leak that involves customers’ personal and payment information.
The leak, which contained sensitive customer details such as device fingerprints, names, email addresses, last four digits of credit cards, and IP addresses, was discovered on September 6 by Justin Paine, the head of trust and safety at Cloudflare.
Cloudflare is one of the largest internet security and cloud network platforms in the world.


“After concluding the CSV files were very likely owned by Arik Air (or their payment processor) I immediately attempted to make contact with Arik Air to notify them of this data leak,” Paine said in a blog post he published on Tuesday.
“To say this process was challenging would be an understatement. I can confirm roughly 1 month after notice was provided that action has finally been taken to secure the S3 bucket.”
Although Paine acknowledged that it was not totally clear who the owner of “this data is as Arik Air didn’t reply” with any further details, he doubled down on his belief that it is “a bucket controlled by Arik Air or one of their immediate partners/processors.”
Paine said the leaked storage contained 994 CSV files, with the customers’ information collected between December 31, 2017, and March 16, 2018.
It contained 54,011 unique names, 41, 304 unique device fingerprint, 65,412 unique emails and 570, 210 unique card transactions; 437, 457 of those were made using Mastercard and 97, 713 using Visa.
Majority of the customers affected appeared to be Nigerians or based in Nigeria as most of the account used in transactions covered in the leak were domiciled in Nigeria.
He said the breach was only acknowledged in an email sent to him on September 24, 18 days after he first made contact with Arik Air via its Facebook page.
He also noted the breach was fixed sometime after he received the email.
When contacted on Wednesday, Ola Adebanji, head of corporate communications at Arik Air said he was not aware of the leak and that he will have a response after speaking with the company’s technical team.
He promised to respond to an email and text message sent to him “shortly”.
One of the companies that provide Arik Air’s online payment gateway Interswitch did not respond when contacted by The Guardian.
Set up in 2006, Arik Air was a privately-owned business before it was taken over by the Nigerian government in 2017 after failing to repay its $429 million debts.
A spokesman for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), which now manages the company, said AMCON took “over the management of Arik because the whole place is in a me

Reverse case for me. I used fast charger to charge RN6P but it did not charge any faster.

So thats a caveat for you not to order ....you can't complain that it did not come with band 28 when the seller did not mention it supported the band.

Yea ...its 50/50 chance that you get that version correctly fulfilled by Amazon The seller does not have a direct input into getting the device to you and aside from that, Amazon would always fulfill based on the sellers' stock.

They have no way of knowing if the seller stocked Chinese or Global version while claiming it to be Taiwanese version.

Infact aside from stating 'Global Version or International version' they usually don't like specifying Chinese or Taiwanese versions due to people's aversion to anything from those areas

It doesn't have the supported band 28 listed and besides that Amazon peeps behave funny thesedays since the fulfill the transaction they send you any version other than the SH Taiwanese version but still Global Version.

Change your region to India, Hong Kong, Vietnam or Philippines etc to get Face Unlock feature. I wonder why they chose to restrict it to some regions. Maybe because people in those regions have similar faces

Redmi Note 6 Pro supports 5v 2A charging max. The difference should be bigger than that sef.

Infinix Note 5 (4500mAh) uses 1 hour 20mins to charge from 10-100

Are you serious? RN5 takes a little about 2hr 30mins from 0-100 or 1hr 30 from 15-100

Redmi Note 6 pro uses Quick charge 1.0 which takes over 3 hours to charge a 4000mAh battery.

The news outlet is also reliably informed that the footballer, who filed for divorce in August this year is currently making preparation to marry an Accra-based business woman, once his marriage to Gifty is annulled by the court.

Although Gyan has had a ‘scandal-laden’ career, he has successfully shielded his wife and three children from the public eye and media scrutiny.

Details of why Asamoah Gyan’s marriage to Gifty has hit the rocks are unknown but sources close to the estranged wife say Gyan grew cold towards Gifty after another woman came into his life.

The said woman was in June this year mistaken for Asamoah Gyan’s wife at the grand opening of his new sports bar located in Osu, Accra.
