I really appreciate this! michlins: don't do it. Water is very heavy so adding such weight to your foundation will bring about cracks in no distance time especially if the foundation isn't prepared for it.
How about water leaking from the taps and dropping into the house and if it's pop ceiling,it immediately gets condemned.
How do you fix issues with leakage and routine washing of the tank. Just don't do it. Do a separate tank stand even though it's expensive but it's safer and better |

Could u kindly buttress more on the implications of the tank on decking issue u spoke of.. I am almost at this stage of my project tranxo: No space in the compound for a stanchion? I hardly see any tank on decking where water hasn't done some damage. |

Thank you.. You have said it all spyder880: As long as the decking is reinforced with beams under the slab, you can add a higher number of blocks on the upper floors, but what about the final look of the house? If windows on the ground floor are shorter that windows on the upper floors, Or if the headroom on the upper floors are higher than the headroom on the lower floor.
It could be aesthetically unpleasant for some people with an eye for detail. |

Odogwu spyder.. May ur years be long and full of new contracts.. Pls I have a question! I recently completed the decking of my house and I am looking to start the block work soon! Must the coaches of blocks on the first level be the same on the 1st and final floor? Or can the coaches on the first floor be slightly more than the one down to get that high ceiling effect.. For the lower floor we have 9 coaches - lintel - then 3 more coaches before lintel. |

Good evening to all Esteemed readers.. I would like some clarity on this tank decking on the roof..
Are there disadvantages to having ur tanks on the roof rather than on a seperate tank stand!
Which is more aesthetically pleasing? The tank hidden in the roof or the iron tank stand outside beside the building
In terms of costs.. Is the tank decking cheaper than making a tank stand |

E never reach like that .. Just help me comfirm if they could meet up with our timing.. Payment shouldn't be a problem n3xt: Smiles.
Even those who paid upfront haven’t gotten.
I deal directly with the source and I know when I pay I get my orders supplied.
I’m not selling cement though so if you get where you’ll get official rate supplied to you and payment received on site, I’d say jump at the offer. |

Really massive development going on there. I can only hope it doesn't end up being like the OPIC estate after campus!
We plenty there. One of the directors in the Ministry of Housing is the engineer in charge.

Are you the engineer in charge of the project opposite NYSC camp.. Along shagamu - Ikenne road? n3xt: I just made delivery of some column shutters to a client this morning. The first thing I told the client was to confirm if there’s space to do the job on site or if he’s happy if I do it in a location near me for adequate supervision. |

Good evening chief... Do u have any idea how much Cement is retailing now from that ur ewekoro distributor? @n n3xt: Since 2014 I do everything in my project on site.
Just last week, I bought 2 welding machine and 2 x 7000kva generators, I hate headache.
- incomplete windows - windows smaller/larger than provision - usage of inferior materials - increase in price of materials - lack of power supply
If my fabricator mess up, there are so many others on the queue.
The only job I do offsite are done in location near me. I mean closer to my house or my office.

Below is 2014 project.
Just imagine what the lady who complained about her interior deco job is going through because she transacted with someone online. Imagine she gave the job to a nairaland contractor who in turn awarded same to the person who disappointed her. We’d be here blaming the contractor

One of the reasons is their service charge(infrastructure charge development charge) and all of that rubbish they don't tell u before u make payment.. In adron estate, u can't build and stop.. U must build from foundation to finishing at a stretch! I had already bought the land before i saw that nonsense rule! So i just abandoned the land and got another one. Just know if u buy land from adron at 2m..the other hidden charges will almost double ur 2m. Before u can lay a block on ur own land Nezzjnr: This is very bad
One will easily be deceived by the state of the arts Structure at the gates of these estates
It makes you wonder why some haven't started building on those lands yet |

[it is sir, decking slab! I have 4 tons of iron rod on site as we speak! Granite and all set! Just Cement! And Cement is going for 3200 here at atan ota ogun state. quote author=n3xt post=97975913]
Oh! I hope it’s not a slab. If it is just quickly find fund to cast the slab because of the formwork.
I can tell you the pricing won’t go lower than 2950 in the foreseeable future.
So if you’re using 200 bags for instance, it’ll only cost you 40 - 50k extra. If you ask me, does it really worth the long wait? NO!
You can even lose some of the things you kept on site while you wait.
_____ If I’m a contractor on your project, I won’t wait for 2 months to get my job done and move on to other things. I only try as much as possible to save from other areas.
|
