Need to get back to winning ways against Birmingham. The draw against Fulham was disappointing. |
edoyad:Na una fowl yansh FA wind blow come eastlands again Adebayor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Bawo no let hangover kill una. we dey wait for una for south beach |
Bulls 15pt down at the half and not looking too good against the Celts. Bawo needs to give the half time pep talk ![]() |
Young back as QB for the titans against Jags. Hope he delivers and keeps the job. Getting them their first win should ensure that. Seems Fisher was pressured into playing him. Most of the experts + accuscore are picking Ravens over Broncos 2:1. Going to be a sweet game with some 'smash mouth' action at the line of scrimmage ![]() |

New thread for 2009/10 season https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-344420.0.html |
Celtics 2-0 after beating Cav and Bobcats. Cavs 0-2 after losing to the raptors. Is this hangover from last season, or the Shaq trade is already backfiring ![]() Wade and the boys off to a good start with a win over the perennial failures= Knicks ![]() |

Lie down for a while and the buzzards rush in thinking you are dead. When it rains, it pours. - We are second in the league. - joint top of our group in the CL - and despite the humiliating loss, are still alive in the CdR. Its a bit early to be singing of our demise. We have problems and they will be resolved in due time. |
This is when you make predictions jare, and not in week 17 . the fun is all in the uncertainty.I don tire for packers. One week they are looking like a playoff team, next there QB is getting sacked like Campbell ![]() Still it should be a great game, with all the emotional stuff, and hopefully a healty dose of INTs courtesy of Brett. After their loss to the Bears in the NFC finals, I have decided to 'wait and see' with Saints, but they are really getting my hopes up this season. Colts v Saints Superbowl will be sweet. ![]() |
Colts have a soft schedule? ![]() So far, they have played 2 winless teams (Titans and Rams), 2 teams that are <5.00 (Miami 2-4 and seattle 2-4), Jacksonville (3-3) and Arizona being the best so far (4-2) The only 'tough' teams they havent played are the Raiders and Bucs ![]() Their only decent tests will be against the Pats in Wk10, Ravens in wk11 and (the likely game of the season) Broncos in wk 14 The rest ( Texans x2, Titans, Jags, Jets, Bills, and 49ers) at combined 17-22 after week 7, are less likely to put up any stiff resistance. Its the kind of schedule you hope for as a first year head coach. They will end up with at least 13-3 and Manning will get MVP no. 4 (Brees ratings arent consistent enough) Mind you, I ain't complaining. ![]() Cutler has a strong arm, but his game IQ is questionable. He can make the throws, but the question is, can he make the 'right' throws?. That aside, they need a new offensive coord in Chicago. Its a passing league, and Chicago just aren't throwing it well enough. The black QBs (and I think someone has said this earlier) need to be better students of the game. The greatest assests of the Mannings and other great QBs, is less of making great throws, but how they read and manage the game. Compare Romo and Eli, and Romo is better at keepiing a play alive and making difficult throws, but Eli is better at reading the defence, making the right call/decisions, and managing the game. Thus making him the better QB. Even the likes of Orton and Cassel and not the best at throwing it, but are very good at managing the game. Black QBs focus on athleticism and less on intellect. The saints are looking like superbowl contenders, but I am wondering if they peaked too early. Like the Colts, they have a favorable schedule (6 of the remaining 10 games are agaisnt Rams, Bucs x2, Carolina x2, and Shitskins) and should make the playoffs with ease. I expect the Giants to get back to winning ways against the Eagles. They always seem to handle their divisional biz, and lost faith in the Eagles after they lost to the raiders without a TD I think some divisions are already getting settled. My predictions NFC East:Giants? (cant count out the Eagles and unreliable Dallas) NFC North:Vikings NFC South: Saints NFC West: Arizona Eagles, Dallas and Falcons are the possible wild cards AFC East: Pats AFC North:Steelers AFC South: Colts AFC West: Denver Bengals for the wild cards. San diego and Houston are damn too incosistent. |
The Vikes had the momentum to win the game, but the shot themselves in the Dolphins need to get it together and improve their D against big plays. Just like against the colts, they lost a game that seem to have been heavily in their favor. Poor Manning and the Giants, have gone from 5-0 to 5-2, and Dallas is closing in. Week 8: Broncos v Ravens (end of Broncos unbeaten record?) 49ers v Colts (7-0 ) |
Good ol' Favre, fumbling and throwing an INT ![]() |
Need a new thread for the new season |
Stunning second half perfromance by the Broncos to kill off San Diego and move to 6-0. After beating Dallas, NE, and Chargers in a row, they deserve the bye week. Week 7: Colts visit St. louis: 6-0 ![]() Viking @ Steelers: Possible game of the week. Lets see how Bretts anthritis hold up against some Hines defence Cardinals @ Giants: Can Kurt Warner follow the Brees examples. While the Cradinals have the passing offense, they lack the running game that would sell the 'play fake'. Falcons @ Dallas: Looking forward to more INTs from Romo Saints @Dolphins: Meow!!! |
You still dey dream about D-Wade to Chicago. lol To get D-Wade, Derrick Rose would be the least of what you would trade. Infact ur entire roster no go do. ![]() |
@illusion2 Are you still confident of liverpool qualifying? cos if you loose to lyon in france, and fiorentina win at home to Debrecen, (both results being quite possible), you will be trailing fiorentina by 6pts and will be hoping they loose their last two matches (including losing to liverpool by at least 2-0) for you to have any hope of qualifying. |
I think its more of I overestimated the Giants defence. The secondary was poor and they rarely got pressure on Brees. On some of the snaps, Drew had enough time to call home before making the throw. The Giants window of opportunity was at the end of the half, when a goal line stand by their defence kept the score at 27 -17, and they could have gotten some point on the board and still gotten the ball back at the start of the 3rd qtr. Instead of seizing the opportunity, Eli fumbled the ball due to pressure from a blind side blitz (something they failed to pickup throughout the game) and they gave the saints the ball back at the giants 1 yrd line. Saints score, 34-17 and that was the beginning of the end. Ravens are having some real tough losses. They deserve more than 3-3. Congrats to the Chiefs on their first win and to the Raiders defence for holding the eagles to only field goals. |
What is with the Pats and running up scores. Leading the titans 45-0, Brady still came out after the half to make it 52-0. Its just classless IMO ![]() |
Game over Giants 17 -41 Saints. The Giants had their opportunity just before the half, but blew it. The Giants have failed to put pressure on Brees and he is just taking them apart. |
Giants @ Saints turning to a real shootout with the Saints having the upper hand for now. |
bawomolo:The sun shines on a dog's arse once in a while ![]() speaking about Massachusetts - anyone know how the redsox did in the playoffs. are they still inHeard they were swept away by some angels from the city of angels ![]() |
chic2pimp:You guys overrate iniesta |
Valencia have taken the right approach my pressurizing Barcelona in their own half and not letting them walk up the ball at leisure. Question is how long can they keep it up. |
David Silva is the best spanish AM |
jalether:yes with Madrid leading 4-2 ![]() |
jalether:no rebuttal eh? typical of a fanboi |
jalether:Inferiority complex? Comparison was between two Barca players, but you couldn't resist comparison to Real Madrid players. The only thing more stupid than comparing Kaka and Iniesta, is to say the world is flat. When Iniesta is ranked top ten in the WPOTY, you can come and present your argument. Your impression of Iniesta is obviously based on only one season (last year), else you wont be spouting such nonsense. Iniesta v Kaka . . . . you should be jailed for thinking up such rubbish. |
Xavi is a far better player than Iniesta. Xavi is world class, while iniesta is just good. The main reason for his recent popularity is that he complements Xavi perfectly. Anyone with doubts (or suffering from infatuation), should watch iniesta play without xavi. |
I expect the Giants to win based on their stronger running game and better defence. Eli should take apart the blitz happy saint defence, while Brees has his work cut out against the no1 ranked defence. Ravens v Vikings should also be good, and Denver should get the first half of their revenge on the Chargers. Titans v Pats should also be interesting. Tennessee will win a game sooner or later. |
