God bless you bro. We've not even seen anyone driving a corolla on UBER to comment on this. My friend that drives a corolla registered it on UBER after he lost his job, after changing the the shock absorber withing d space of 8 months, he sold it off to buy a Honda civic. If u are going to defend a car, use UBER experience as a yardstick, not bank or private usage experience.

Don't let Gazzuz hear you mention Honda civic o.. .he said 'it's a very useless car' grin

Sorry ooo I didn't know ur 55k HP agreement with that Honda evil spirit has been terminated, so you have now moved to Hyundai accent for 70k weekly HP.

I really hope u succeed with this ur new deal.

If truly u r not involve, with trying to sell us 407.

pls don't be deceive into asking ur relatives or friends into buying 407, the ogunvic guy is a scam.mer he was doing sca.m bc the thing no gree pay, he then switched to driving Uber.

Somebody who once told us, that car rental should not be more than 30k for corolla, is now claiming he gets 50k weekly on 407 weekly.

Continue fooling yourself.

E be like say you get personal beef with the guy. grin
Make una take am easy o. See what 407 has caused in this thread.

I spoke with Ogunvic earlier in the week, and in his support he said the best cars for uber is 407 and corolla. So he's not all about 407 or nothing else

Someone is trying to manipulate us into buying peageuot cars.

Bc peageuot dealer gave them good incentives if they manage to find a buyer, that's the reason they started praising peageuot cars, when nobody ask them.

Romeo3 the chief agent is using Honda accord evil spirit.

ogunvic is the ijebu that purchased the car, bc is so cheap, then the importer pleaded with him to help him sell, he will be given 20% incentives.

grin grin grin grin

Na naija we dey, any car brand being purchased via a proxy usually always have a markup on the price. So that one is not about Peugeot. Nobody come count bridge for lagos na

To be honest, apart from car enthusiasts and mechanics, most people don't feel a major difference in driving different brand of cars in the same category.

What is really important is for you to have the means to maintain your car appropriately, have a good/honest mechanic and good aspect where Toyota wins is it's resale value simply because of high demand.

The Toyota of the same category in our use has visited the mechanic/spent more money than the ford vehicle despite all advice against buying the ford. .

A lot also depends on the driver driving pattern

So my friend who you've worked on his cars said these about you. Are they true.

He said

You are arrogant
Rude to your customer
Bad customer service
Unnecessarily expensive
Know it all attitude.
You don't allow clients to see what you are doing so it gives room for Parts on cars to be stolen or replaced.

Yes, Gazzuz may come off as rude and arrogant, especially to people who don't have a good understanding of people temperaments.

If you've interacted with a lot of 'no nonsense kind of people' you'll get him.

I just laugh off most of his cocky remarks.
Playful Gazzuz on Nairaland is better than serious Gazzuz on whatsapp/workshop. Unfortunately, it's serious Gazzuz that gets the work done grin

We like to condemn cars a lot here in Nigeria.

I remember when I bought my Ford SUV, everyone was shouting why I didn't get a Toyota, that I'll spend through my nose to maintain the car.

3 yrs running now, and no single issue with the car. With all the abuse of carrying over 1tonne of feed regularly.

Next thing they say is fuel consumption.. . But that argument looks strange to me.. It's like buying an android phone and complaining about data grin you for just stick to Nokia torchlight Na.

Ina Kazeem dey destroy car pass for Nigeria.

I still prefer Cerberus that still allows the theif to use the phone, but has some powerful futures that will enable you get theif.

Features like locking the phone and using the front facing camera to take a picture when the theif unlockes the phone, looking at the call logs and every SMS on the phone remotely, taking a screen grab of the phone etc.

I don't even make use of xiaomi findmyphone
I'm covered with cerberus

Went to the post office to pick up some items yesterday. I was told there's a new policy in place.

That since I'm picking up multiple items at once, they will have to weigh all together and Bill me if it exceeds 0.5kg.

I had 6 packages, but light weight items. So they weighed all and it was just about 0.4kg so I was not billed.

Sometimes I do receive SMS to come pick my items, bit I usually wait to consolidate if I have multiple items coming in, so I can pick them at once. I guess I will have to be collecting as they come if I want to avoid charges

No seller would go as far as blacklisting a whole country just because a customer probably a ''First time buyer which to me, can be found in every country of the world'' wants a good service delivery from him. the blacklisting thing, to the best of my knowledge works only for countries with dubious tendencies/character. thanks

It could happen if it becomes a trend and majority of people from that country starts becoming a nuisance, just because they refuse to read the rules or decided to ignore it.

We felt it when xiaomi online store for a while stopped shipping to Nigeria for whatever reasons.

But really it doesn't cost us anything to be patient, and if a seller errs, we give negative feedback or ask for a refund.

I think a lot of Nigerians are wired to be sharp, always on the alert so no one can play a fast one on us, always trying to beat the system... I think that may be the reason for a lot of our impatience grin

@bolded do you think they do us any favour by shipping down to Nigeria?
I am aware of the terms and conditions of shopping on Ali, but some sellers takes advantage of that to buy time for their self knowing very well that they don't have those items in store, for that reason, I will never complain because I will end up dishing him some bad rating. I placed and order and the seller after tagging 10days shipping on it, he went ahead to delay shipping for another 10days without any explanation, and you say one should be happy about that?

Note: I am not a new buyer in Ali wink

If it's outside of the stipulated estimate, you have a right to complain and down vote the seller in your review, afterall we also up vote sellers that ship fast.

But if it's still within the stipulated estimate, then Jusy exercise patience. No need to be disturbing the seller everyday.

Do you also think they do us any favours by blacklisting us? It works both ways.

Perhaps peeps should hold on the ordering of items for now especially when the shipping is through Singapore post until there are confirmed reports of fast delivery. Since it is no longer two weeks after purchase, anyone wanting to order should prepare his or her mind for a 3week to 1 month delivery. If you know that you truly cannot wait that long then don't bother ordering at all. And people spreading the word about xiaomi phones through Aliexpress should always let people know that the delivery will be 3 weeks plus so that their minds are prepared. You can't receive insults over issues that are no fault of yours.

I seriously wonder what the fuss is all about. I have been buying stuffs from aliexpress for a long time now and I can tell you that on the average, shipping takes 3-4 weeks to get here.
And it usually takes 1 week from ordering for seller to ship and update your tracking status.

If you it happens that you get your goods in 2 weeks, it's a plus, but it's not the norm.

You guys are just giving yourself unnecessary hypertension.

Some people will start disturbing seller anyhow when an estimated time frame is already stated for each stage.

Most sellers will just get tired of Nigerians and stop shipping here. Our wahala too much. We no get patience at all

If you want your goods faster, there are shipping companies you can use or you pay for dhl

you are the one who quoted Amazon and their free shipping, so accept what yopu post or post something relevant, duh!!!
OP is selling his for 130K, while even amazon who buys there from some chinese factories AND sends it for free to their customer, sells them cheaper.

who gives a damn if this is a sale/promo?! dont you know that even selling as a promo they make a profit, and that these are all selling techniques?!

And you seriously think for such a package with large dimensions you'll get free shipping to Nigeria right? SMH

I hope you also saw the $239 was a sales/promo price. I'm sure you can see the actual price

Are you now saying because amazon and most stores in USA sell it at a higher price than china alibaba price, they are deluded? grin
Ok you WIN

Just let the issue slide oga... Nothing wrong with the price Gazzuz mentioned and besides we don't even know how much OP is selling. You just came in here and started lambasting him. I seriously don't think it's fair to him

Thought it those

Been a while since I connected a xiaomi phone to TV. But if I remember correctly, you can use the miracast option on your tv and use the Wi-Fi display option on your xiaomi phone to search and pair your TV.

The only thing from my experience is that you cannot use your phone hotspot or the TV hotspot for the Wi-Fi connection. You have to use another 3rd device. Either another phones hotspot or a mifi device. Internet connection is not needed. Try that and let's see how it goes

I'd rather suggest you buy good cables since your charger is still working. Xiaomi chargers are very good, but their cables sometimes don't last.

Check for Aukey store on aliexpress. Their cables and chargers are very good.

Most of the screen replacement on aliexpress are not oem.
They are OK but not usually as good as the original that came with the phone.
My redmi note 3 edition screen was a 10 point multi-touch screen. The replacement from aliexpress was 5 point multi-touch.
Although still better than nothing

Haven't used a miezu phone, but I have flashed flyme os before on my phones. I loved it. Very light and beautiful rom.

Not as customizable as miui.. Perfect for those that like to keep things simple like me
