Lols... Very funny...
Well, in my case, it wasn't me, but my friend...
We just moved into the compound new, I was somewhere around 8/9 yrs old..
I had a friend immediately, the next door.. he was my age mate...
Now, all I know during child beating is just normal crying...
But one day I heard my friend's mother beating him, instead of crying, I was hearing "Somebody help me!!!!"
Lol...
In my house we were all shocked thinking something severe was happening...
My mom was like "How can a small boy be screaming somebody help me"... Next thing she turn to me, "Any day you say that in dis house.... 😂😂
Na die😹😹

Give it a try thank me later.
But avoid playing sound always, rats unlike humans are very adaptive, play sounds at occasions maybe three times in a week; Monday Wednesday Friday...
I heard they get used to the meow sound.. Using rodenticide or keeping cat is better... For me o☺

IslamRe: When Is Ramadan 1444AH Starting? by Bintdawood(f): 11:02am On Mar 10, 2023
Rashduct4luv:
Today’s date is Friday 17th Sha’aban 1444H = 10th March 2023.

The basic ruling in Islam is to search for the moon (that signals the beginning of another Lunar month) when the current month (i.e. Sha'aban in this case) is 29. If the moon is sighted then Ramadan starts! Otherwise the current month (of Sha'aban) is counted to 30 days and then the next month (of Ramadan) starts after.

So Sha'aban 29th will be Wednesday March 22 2023.

If the Sultan announces the sighting of the moon by Wednesday Sha'aban 29 (22 March, 2023) evening then we start fasting on Thursday March 23 2023.
If the moon wasn't announced to be sighted then Sha'aban will be counted to 30 days.
Fasting then starts on Friday March 24th 2023.

Evidence: Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (May Allah exalt his mention and protect him from imperfection) said: “Fast when you see the new moon (of Ramadan) and break your fast when you see the new moon (of Shawwal.) If clouds prevent you from seeing it, complete thirty days in the month of Sha'aban (the one that precedes Ramadan). (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Commentary: (…) If the moon of Ramadan is not sighted on the 29th Sha’aban, then its thirty days be completed and Ramadan’s Saum be started on the next day. Similarly, if the moon for the month of Shawwal is not sighted on the 29th of Ramadan, thirty days of Saum must be completed before celebrating ‘Eid-ul-Fitr. This means that the sighting of the moon is necessary for keeping the Saum of Ramadan. Counting by celestial system is not sufficient for this purpose. (…)

https://www.salaattime.com/hadith-fast-when-you-see-the-new-moon-of-ramadan/

Note: Each country is expected to sight the moon for Ramadan! Nigerians are not to use the moon sighting in Saudi Arabia to start Ramadan!

Evidence: Kurayb repoted: I came to Syria and tended to my needs. The crescent of Ramadan appeared over me while I was in Syria and I saw it on Friday, then I came to Medina at the end of the month. Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, asked me about it and I mentioned the crescent. Ibn Abbas said, “When did you see it?” I said, “We saw it on Friday night.” Ibn Abbas said, “You saw it?” I said, “Yes, people saw it and they fasted, as did Mu’awiyah.” Ibn Abbas said, “But we saw it on Saturday night, so we will continue fasting until we complete thirty days or we see it.” I said, “Is it not enough that Mu’awiyah saw it and he fasted?” Ibn Abbas said, “No, such was the command of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1087
Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim

Al-Tirmidhi said, “The people of knowledge act upon this tradition, that the people of every land have their own moon sighting.”
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 693

In summary
If the moon is sighted by Wednesday evening of Sha'aban 29 1444AH (22 March, 2023) then Ramadan starts on Thursday 23 March 2023.
If the moon wasn't announced to have been sighted on Wednesday evening of 29 Sha'aban 1444AH (22 March, 2023) then Ramadan starts on Friday 24 March 2023.

May Allah accept all our good deeds, pardon us our sins, heal the world of illness, grant succor to the distressed, forgive our dead and Grant us Jannah without stress.
Aamin Ya Rabb!
Allahumma ballighnaa Ramadaan

Best regards✌
FoodRe: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by Bintdawood(f): 12:02am On Mar 10, 2023
kinah:
How is it prepared please?
The ingredients are
Basmati rice
Chicken
Seasonings
Mandi spice
Onion
Attaruhu (some ppl like spicy food so its opt)
Oil
Raisins
Cinnamon
Cumjn seeds
Bay leaves
Ginger and garlic paste
Water

First of all you'll need mandi spice, you can make it yourself or get it from stores..
I made mine myself.
For the mandi spice, you'll need:
Black pepper
Cloves
Nutmeg
Cardamom
Dry ginger powder
Cloves
Add them in a pan and heat on a medium heat(i normally wash em before roasting), allow to cool and then grind them to powder, set aside.

When preparing chicken mandi, the chicken is baked after marinating it (i dont bake mine😎), so imma tell you how i did mine..
I start by seasoning my chicken, and cook for like 10mins, then keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and fry for like 2mins, add ginger and garlic paste, fry till it starts smelling nice. Add nutmeg, cumin seeds, cinnamon and bay leaves, mix well for like 3-5mins, add chicken (like i said earlier, i cooked my chicken) add water and your mandi spice to your taste and allow to cook for abt 10mins..
For the baked chicken
(This is when you'll remove the chicken from the stock and marinate with your mandi spice and seasonings, then bake in the oven till its crusty).
For the rice
Soak your basmati for 30mins and drain it.. Heat your ollive oil (i used groundnut oil😉) in a pan, add your soaked rice, raisins, stir fry for like 10mins... Remove and add the roasted rice to your chicken stock, add seasonings and put an aluminum foil over the pot and cover with a lid... Cook it on a low heat for like 10-15mins..
For the baked chicken
(After baking it for like 15-20mins on low heat, you then add it to the rice and cover to cook for 10-15mins)

Shikkenan✌
Hope you get it... If you get any question, ask... Forgive my Grammar😉

BusinessRe: Opay Users Please Share Your Experience With The Customer Care by Bintdawood(f): 9:17pm On Mar 09, 2023
Same here, their customer care num is not going..
Thats how i lost my hard earned 9k😢 it is well.
MalaikaEH:
I have been reading about how Opay does seamless banking without hitches. So, I decided to try it out.

Everything seemed fine I must confess, until I encountered an issue about which I needed to contact their customer care agents. I have used all available channels to try to get a reply from them, but no headway. This has lasted for over three weeks now and yet no reply. I have wiped my airtime several times trying to call their phone numbers, but no answer yet.

Please Nairalanders who use Opay, what is the sure way of contacting their customer care?
