What is danwake made from?

Different ways
1- Flour,powdered baobab leaf(kuka) and soaked potash.
2_ Beans flour, cassava flour, flour, wheat, powdered baobab leaf(kuka) and soaked potash. (some people add bambara jut flour to it)
I prefer the second method cuz it tastes better😎

Education / Re: Powerful little wisdoms to keep in mind by Bintdawood(f): 12:19pm On Nov 06, 2023
Hey immarocks I’ve been trying to reply you in the food section but then i get banned all the time. So i decided to share the recipe through this thread.

Goruba (doum palm) enhances the taste of waina. But you can also make it without using goruba, just that it makes it taste better.

In a small bucket, soak the doum palm (goruba)for at least an hour. Wash and pound your millet to remove the chaff. Take it to be blended, adding ginger and cloves.
Remove the doum plam (goruba) seed from the water and add sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir until it's all dissolved. Then, add the already blended mixture to the bucket, and add yeast. Stir it well.
After adding the yeast, keep the mixture in a warm place to allow it to rise well. After it has risen, heat oil in your masa pan. Use a ladle or a deeper spoon to scoop the mixture into the pan. Allow it to cook on one side before flipping it over.
I hope this helps🌝🌝🌝

The for the explanation.

Fur that aspect of hujjaj, I'm aware.

Then, I do address some of my female friend like that but one of them who stays in the North seems not comfortable with it when I addressed her as such.

She made it look like it's meant for married women.

That's why I asked for clarification

It's true that some ladies, like me, prefer not to be addressed as 'Hajiya' or 'Hajjaju. Cuz the term "Hajiya" does have an older, more traditional implicatipn, which is why some younger women might not like being called that. Some people might take offense at being called "Hajiya," because they might feel like it's saying they are old. And no one wants to feel old, especially when they're still young at heart.... I guess your friend is among them (us)🥱😹

Oh okay.. Its a Hausa word and a term for respect for women of high class also a sign of respect for elderly women. Buh the actual name is used for those that went for pilgrimage

And yess you can also use it for married women🌝

That man is biggotory , he is not suppose to govern any state, first he demolished the whole round about because he sighted something that looks like a Christian cross, he banned the reading of text book like things fall apart and the sales of it... That man is a crook.

Nahh! I noticed that you made a statement about the banning of certain books. I want to respectfully correct an inaccuracy in your statement. The book "Things Fall Apart" was not included in the list of banned books. It's important to ensure that the facts are accurate before making statements🤌🏾

No.

Did you bake this Arabian bread? Or is it available for purchase in Nigeria. Been looking for it since I had a taste in UAE.

I cooked the Arabian bread on a non-stick skillet, not in an oven. It turned out really well, and it tasted well. It's not easy to find this dish in restaurants, even here in the north. Not only can you enjoy this delicious dish by ordering it at a restaurant, but you can also make it yourself at home🌝All you need is a few simple ingredients and a non-stick skillet. It's easy to make and tastes just like the real thing. Give it a try!
